Hey y'all! Hope everyone is doing well. I skimmed through the last 5-6 pages looking for the big red numbers. I hope I got everyone and didn't misquote anyone.

I'm a bachelor all week. My wife is out of town for training until Thursday night, so we'll see what sorts of meals I whip up for myself. Last week I was making all kinds of plans to cook the things that she doesn't like (mainly spicy foods); but now that this week is here I'm feeling lazy and will probably end up with soups, salads and sandwiches. Oh well, hopefully that'll lead to a good number on Friday.

Have a great day all!

Did any peeps get in on the free dining this year?

I posted earlier about my work friend getting her reservations and all her dining stuff - she was calling back today to check on free dining. She said it would amount to about a $500 savings for her family.

I started out good today. And them my mom called and want to meet for chinese for lunch so I am finished eating for the day now. I did leave off the sauce but I didnt resist the rice. I guess I could have some lettuce and water later. YUM!

Unfortunately, free dining does not include the dates we are going! It ends the day we arrive!! :sad2: Oh well...maybe another year!

I did, however, make ADR's for Boma, Chef Mickey's and Kona today. Couldn't get into Le Cellier, but I'll keep trying!

I booked it in Sep, (which seems like so long ago now,) when they had the bounce-back promo, except I upgraded to the deluxe plan.

I CAVED! I went ahead and ate the fajitas. I tried to be good though, mostly lettuce and tomatoes, a little meat, beans, and rice, and just a smidge of cheeze sauce - my fav!;)

As long as you skip the tortillas, you're doing great! Tortillas have a LOT of calories! Sounds like a yummy lunch to me!

I run 5x/week 3-6 miles per time (so I am running more than 20 miles per week), plus I strength train 3x per week.

Opinions please...Dawn, I know you like FitDay and Kat loves Spark...what are the differences? Which one should I do?

Gee, is that all you do ;) ?? I like the daily plate, I find it really easy to use, much more so than fitday. I haven't tried Spark.

That reminds me, I have to go try to figure out how much that chicken salad has in it... ugh. I hate trying to count left overs from when we go out!

Dawn...I can't believe the behavior of that lady! Lion King draws LOTS of kids, but I must admit, I was surprised at how young some of the kids were when we went. I don't think a 2 or 3 year old would sit well for a 2-3 hour performance. :confused3 JMHO

i totally agree that if you have a child who is being obnoxiously loud or crying during the performance, take them out in the hall! but none of these kids were doing that. they would just ask random questions in a non-whisper or they would laugh really loudly. i think whispering is one of the last thing kids learn how to do! anyway, luke will be 4 in june and i know if i was his parents i wouldn't deprive myself and him of the show (that will only be in town for a couple of months) because of his age. if he acts up, we get to leave.....that's the chance they take, i guess. he did great the entire time except for a few louder-than-a-whisper comments. he actually fell asleep for about 10 minutes during the second act! i'd rather hear the laughter/comments of children during a show than some dumb adult talking on their cell phone! :rotfl:

i did!! i did!! we got in at pop century, which is what we wanted. so it's official - i'm going to disney 3 times this year. because i have an AP, i will NEVER have another year like this (unless i win the lottery) so i'm gonna take advantage while i can!

I just added up my calorie intake for the day, and the number I came up with is 1,295, and that's after I added in what I'm planning on eating tonight. :goodvibes By the end of the night I would have drank two liters of water today, and no soda, which is rare for me, usually it's one liter of water, and one or two sodas a day.

I'm going to do my grocery shopping later this week, and buy hummus, baby carrots, and celery, the ingrediants for UM's pumpking soup, the ingrediants for this other less healthy, but not too bad appetizer, water, sweet potatoes, and Lean Cuisine.

I am COMMITTING myself here in public to spend 40 minutes on the treadmill tomorrow... WITHOUT FAIL.
...................................P

Well, I did it. It was tough to fit in, since I got called to work today, but I managed to squeeze in 41 minutes on the treadmill. I am pleased with myself, because it would have been SO easy to skip it. And of course, the entire time I am walking/running I am looking around my bedroom at the unmade bed, the empty suitcases waiting for vacation clothes, the disorganized DVDs and Wii games that my kids left on top of the tv cabinet and I'm getting STRESSED!! But, I still kept my promise to myself and fit in the 40 and it will be worth it in the long run..................P

Great job!!! :yay:

I find the water to be really important too. I try to choke down at least 64 oz. I think it "flushes" out bad stuff, and makes me feel full.

Awesome!! It is so important to have "me" time in your day. Think, every minute you are on the treadmill, is the possibility of a few more minutes (or days, months, years) that you will be in your kids' lives due to your commitment to healthy living.

I managed to go today too, 45 min of weight training and 30 min on the arc trainer.

oh, i meant to mention this earlier. i went to the gym this morning and only 2 people showed up for class since it's spring break in this area. so anna took us both out on the weight room floor and we just worked out with her. it was intense. i'm sure i'll be sitting in court tomorrow cussing her! :rotfl:

You had your own private Jillian! I loved it when I was one of a few in my pilates class. It was even better if it was just me and the instructor, because then she would work out at her level, which really pushed me!

Let's all try this exercise regimen, starting tomorrow:

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty
of room at each side. With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend
your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long
as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax. Each day
you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks. Then try 50-
lb potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can
lift a 100-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight
for more than a full minute.

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the
sacks.

i'm going to see the lion king tomorrow and i'm really excited! :yay:

punkin - Where is the Lion King showing? It has to be somewhere within reasonable driving distance for me.

Sounds just like my life! I am taking lessons. I can always find an excuse to skip exercise.:sad2:

:rotfl2: LOL! You had me all the way to the end! My husband thinks I am crazy over here!

Peeps is slang for people - meaning your homies, friends, pals.

Here's my favorite peep picture

Thanks for the explanation. Awesome picture. LOL!

I haven't made it in a while, but fajitas are one of the easiest, healthiest dinners I make. I slice an onion, bell pepper, and chicken breast. I stir fry the chicken in teriyaki sauce and olive oil (not a lot; use a nonstick pan). Then I take the chicken out of the pan and stir-fry the bell pepper and onion. I add the chicken back in to let the flavors blend. I use one Del Valle tortilla (extra high fiber, 130 calories) and stuff it with the chicken and veggies. I add salsa, no cheese, no sour cream, and it still tastes pretty great.

:rotfl: You funny lady!

Hey Peeps! I need to catch up

So I officially lowered my daily point intake on weight watchers yesterday based on my weight it said I should be having 19 points a day! :scared1:
I was eating 22 points a day so I lower it to 20 points a day for now. I figured I have 5 weeks to lose 5 pounds before I go to Disney.

My weight has been pretty stagnate the past couple of weeks so I am trying to jolt my system. I went to a wedding this past weekend and alot of people came up to me and told me I looked skinny!!! So I was pretty excited about that! :woohoo:

Yesterday my fiance asked me what I wanted to do for my Birthday this year. Does anyone else do this????? I am so focused on my disney trip that I completely forgot my B-Day is coming up....anyway I told him nothing because he is already paying for me to go to Disney for 8 days! ...I think that's enough...He is the best!

Good Morning All!!!

I am calling Disney this morning to see if I can get free dining for my trip in Sept! I'll keep you posted!

Hey! I just came over here from the food porn thread. Just wondering how this works. There may be an explination somwhere in the 101 pages on this thread, but my DS2 is about to get up for the day and I can't read it all. :)
I'm doing weight watchers (was doing it...kind of got off track) trying to lose my baby weight from DS 4mo. I've got about 5 lbs to go...maybe 10 to account for the 5 lbs. that I'll probably gain when I go to WDW in June! :rotfl:

:woohoo: I get to chek in with my peeps over breakfast today! DH lit a fire in the fire bowl and is sitting outside so I get the laptop for a few minutes.

I skimmed a bit last night before bed so I kind of know what's been going on.

Fran~ I'm sorry about Sam. It's so hard to lose a pet, especially one so young.

UMama~ Stay strong! I know it can be hard to give up something your body has become dependent on.

LMO~ I can have 20 pts a day and have 5 pts worth of snacks built into my daily allotment so when I have to cut back, I can cut the snacks. I find that I don't always eat all of them anyway. I also try to eat every 3 hrs which helps keep me satisfied.

Pixie~ I love that routine!

Celery~ I cracked up over that pic. DH thought it was great too.

DF4E~ Make ure you are eating enough caloies everyday. If you go too low your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose any weight. Based on the 12 cal per lb formula, I can eat 1800 cal to reach and maintain my goal. If I could mantain 1500 cal a day, I would weigh what I did in high school. I like food too much now to maintain that for very long though so I'll hang on to the extra 20 lbs.

Danielle~ Those fajitas sound really good. I may have to give them a try next week when I'm planning my menus. I might throw a bit of WW cheese on mine though.

I wish I could go for free dining. Mr MHL said no because we are going in a few weeks and he thinks it would be too much for us to do another trip this year. I'm bummed. I wanted to go again......... I spent a lot of time trying to impress upon him the need to be fiscally responsible and that I wanted to be debt free; it worked, at the expense of a second Disney trip.

I decided that I needed to recommit to my diet. I went shopping yesterday and then made several days worth of meals. I put together a couple of pasta salads and a layered lettuce salad. I've got the tools I need and a renewed attitude. I am going to succede!
