Hello all!

Well, it has not been going the best, eating wise. Pretty much did not count calories this weekend. Went out in the boat Saturday with DH for the first time, something about that fresh air gets to you! Got my first sunburn in a long time to. I haven't ate alot, but still to much. Yesterday I started over, counting every darn calorie again.
I am holding ALOT of water weight from over the weekend. (I really hope it's water weight!!!)

I got a new scale Friday,   and it shows an 8 pound difference OVER the other scale. (why couldn't it be 8#'s under? Not my luck...) Not just for my weight, but everyones. I think that had something to do with being discouraged over the weekend. So which scale do I believe for my weight...neither, I threw them both out the door!

Just kidding, but it was a thought. For now my bathroom will have 2 scales. I'm using the old one until the numbers are a little better. :confused3

HOCKEYKAT: Seeing that you actually lost 20 pounds has remotivated me. Knowing that a real person, (you are real right? LOL)
Has taken off 20 pounds in 2 months, makes me think that this really is do-able. Thank you for sharing, your words help.

So today, so far, 180 calories worth of soup.

Oh, I also feel a teensy bit motivated by the sight of my neighbor....her of the red bikini that she is already wearing in the FRONT yard, even though it just this week started to hit 80 degrees. Well, I guess it is a step up from the THONG bathing suit that she used to wear when we first moved here a few years ago. (repeat, in the FRONT yard) I guess after kiddie #2 she figures she'll cover up now. Lovely, lovely, neighbors.

I will eat right and exercise, I will count all calories, (even small "tasting" bites while cooking dinner)....I will I will!

I can do this. :woohoo: :woohoo:

The Lean Cuisine BBQ Chicken Pizza is my favorite! :thumbsup2
That is a good one!! :)
i did!! i did!! we got in at pop century, which is what we wanted. so it's official - i'm going to disney 3 times this year. because i have an AP, i will NEVER have another year like this (unless i win the lottery) so i'm gonna take advantage while i can!
I completely agree with your plan of attack! I am still waiting to see if we are really doing LA and DL this October!! I hope so, a full year without disney does not compute with me!

:cool1: I Did It!!! :cool1:

 I GOT FREE DINING!!!!

:yay: I'm soooo excited I can't contain myself!!! :yay:

:woohoo: WOOHOO!!!!! :woohoo:

Thats awesome! :cool1:

So i was peeperiffic yesterday..yay! I stayed within my 1500-1600 cal range, and i not only went to curves BUT when i got home before supper was done i went to the basement and worked out wtih Greg on the weight bench doing about 30 real old school crunches and wieght work..i also worked our punching bag a bit too....:) it was really fun and I am so glad he joined me! Now if this darn weather would just warm up we can do some night time walking with Chief!

Warning to all of you parents of small children!! Do not use the playtex orthodontic pacifiers! The entire nipple pulled off of the button last night while my son had it in his mouth. If I had not seen it happen or if he had been in bed for the night he would have choked to death. I called playtex and they are sending me a bag to put the pacifier in and send it back to them. I did some research and they have had 3 different orthodontic pacifiers recalled due to the same problem in 2000/2001. They had 21 reports of this same thing happening. Obviously, they still have not gotten it right. I shudder to think what could have happened. I was shaking so hard when I called that I could barely speak to customer service rep.

I'm hoping to really reduce the amount of diet Pepsi I'm drinking. This quest started yesterday. I ONLY drank it when I was starting to get a headache. If you knew how much $$$ I spend on my HOOCH every month it would appall you and embarrass me. So I kept drinking water to which I added little packetts of lemon Propel. I didn't do so bad!

Another BIG BIG BIG diet pitfall I'm giving my all to is not eating toast right before bed. WHY I do that I have no idea. I actually save up for it (on ww) :confused3 But it's still a bad habit, I'm on night 3 of no bedtime toast. baby steps.

Lynda, I'm too tired to record you tonight... :flower3: sorry. I'll go through and make sure I got every one recorded tomorrow morning and post the grand totals too.

Love to all of you! Goodnight!

Oh my goodness that is so funny that you are doing that too! I am doing weight watchers and I save up to have some "bed bread." I would eat toast EVERY night before bed. My husband thought it was an obsession. I'm one night bed bread free. I know it was a bad habit. I'm trying to break it. :yay:

OMG!! That is so scary!!! :scared1: Thank you for posting this. I'll let my DD know about it so she can make that the baby's nuks are not from playtex.

Hey! I just came over here from the food porn thread. Just wondering how this works. There may be an explination somwhere in the 101 pages on this thread, but my DS2 is about to get up for the day and I can't read it all. :)
I'm doing weight watchers (was doing it...kind of got off track) trying to lose my baby weight from DS 4mo. I've got about 5 lbs to go...maybe 10 to account for the 5 lbs. that I'll probably gain when I go to WDW in June! :rotfl:

WELCOME!! We post our weight differences on Fridays, in big letters at the top of the post. You don't have to post actual numbers, just the difference.

Wow, only 5lbs left from 4mo old!! I am super impressed.

Yes, I am real! Punkin (Dawn) has even met me IRL and can vouch for it.

I re-started my 1200 calorie plan on Feb 5th. I was up to 192.2 after 2 weeks of total Deluxe DDP indulgence, drinking, etc due to WDW trip and the week leading up to it. As of Friday, I was 173.2, so not quite 20 lbs.

I stick to somewhere between 1000 and 1200 calories, keep my fat between 20 and 40g, and my fiber between 25 and 35g. I track everything on sparkpeople.com. Also, I have had probably 3 cheat nights in that time frame, and when I say cheat, I *mean* it... pizza, burgers, beer, whole 9 yards! I average about 4 days in the gym, which is probably 2 days avg of weight training, and at least 30 min of high-intensity cardio each visit. I also try to drink at least 64 oz of water, and I occasionally take a Mega-T green tea caplet at about 11:30AM to get through my workout. I also take a multivitamin daily.

I have not given up coffee or diet soda. I have one travel mug of coffee in the morning, one diet soda w/ lunch, and then usually at least 2-3 at night, and/or at least 1 32 oz "clearly american" (wal-marts caffeine free sodium free flavored sparkling water).

I love seltzer and have been using that as my substitute. I also use the 4C "crystal light" type stuff sometimes. It certainly helps the water go down easier! But I don't want it to become another "habit". Just an occasional treat. I must say though, 24 oz of plain water a day is about my limit. Otherwise I feel water logged!

I put those packets that are meant to be for water bottles in a container of 64 oz of water. To me it's less sweet and more water, does that make sense. When the bottle from the fridge is gone I know I drank my water for the day. I still do have a can of caffeine free diet pepsi, I need bubbles once in a while, for dinner usually but all day I drink my water. I too used to drink way too much soda.

Yes, this was a new job I started in Januray. He has been trying to get me to work for him for 4 years! (Since I got my insurance license!) Evidently we haven't brought in enough money over the past quarter and he couldn't afford to pay me anymore. I'm a little ticked, as I wouldn't have quit my other job and taken this one if I realized it would be for such a short time! :scared: I applied for unemployment today and have sent my resume with DH to apply at the bank where he works. We'll see what happens.

So sorry. That stinks but I'm sure it happened for a reason. Good luck on the bank.

AHH! I need support! I just found out that a sales rep is bringing Moe's Fajita Bar for lunch today!!!!!! Free food is going to be my downfall!

I can eat Lean Cuisine, I can eat Lean Cuisine, I can eat Lean Cuisine...

Oh fajita's, I love them.

Lean Cuisine meals I usually like a nice green salad as a side. I haven't tried the panini ones. Sounds good!

I add more veggies in the meals and I eat a salad with them. Fills me up and makes it look like I'm eating a lot more.

I started out good today. And them my mom called and want to meet for chinese for lunch so I am finished eating for the day now. I did leave off the sauce but I didnt resist the rice. I guess I could have some lettuce and water later. YUM!

I love General Tso's chicken.

Let's all try this exercise regimen, starting tomorrow:

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty
of room at each side. With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend
your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long
as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax. Each day
you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks. Then try 50-
lb potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can
lift a 100-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight
for more than a full minute.

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the
sacks.

:lmao: :lmao:

Hey Peeps! I need to catch up

Yesterday my fiance asked me what I wanted to do for my Birthday this year. Does anyone else do this????? I am so focused on my disney trip that I completely forgot my B-Day is coming up....anyway I told him nothing because he is already paying for me to go to Disney for 8 days! ...I think that's enough...He is the best!

I would ask for Disney dollars for spending money, but that's me.

Hey! I just came over here from the food porn thread.

Welcome aboard.

I'm doing weight watchers (was doing it...kind of got off track) trying to lose my baby weight from DS 4mo. I've got about 5 lbs to go...maybe 10 to account for the 5 lbs. that I'll probably gain when I go to WDW in June! :rotfl:

Only 5 lb from baby #2. I am so behind I have to lose close to 150 lb but it's not from just the babies, I was heavy to begin with. I probably gained at least 50 between baby #2 and #3. I am doing WW too.

:cool1: I Did It!!! :cool1:

 I GOT FREE DINING!!!!

:dance3: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :dance3:

That's awesome

Hello all!

Well, it has not been going the best, eating wise. Pretty much did not count calories this weekend. Went out in the boat Saturday with DH for the first time, something about that fresh air gets to you! Got my first sunburn in a long time to.

I'm so jealous that it's 80 degrees by you. It's 54 here and of course it feels nice. I like it when it's over 65 but I would take 80. Funny my SIL feels the need to dress in things that she shouldn't either. She's a mom and dresses like a teenager, please she may be skinny but she has no body.

Warning to all of you parents of small children!! Do not use the playtex orthodontic pacifiers! The entire nipple pulled off of the button last night while my son had it in his mouth. So glad that you were there when it happened. My DS9 when he was around 4 or 5 choked on a plastic easter egg. He had 1/2 of it and was scooping up ice cream with it and eating it and then something made me look down the hallway (he was sitting on my bed watching TV while I was making dinner) and I screamed because he was choking and my DH ran down the hallway and popped it out somehow. Now if we get those from school or relatives we empty them out and throw them away immediately.

Well I had a good week, I weigh in at WW this morning. I had a sinus infection so I think not being able to "smell" anything kind of helped. I am not going back up. I am going to lose at least 100 lb by Nov 2009 when we go to WDW. That is my goal. There I put it in writing. I am up to 5 lb weight loss from my WW meeting, can I put a 5 lb ribbon in my siggy? I might be able to talk this evening, T-ball practice tonight at 6:30 then we have to come home and do homework.

Laura

I add lots of veggies too. It makes me feel like I'm eating more. I do steamfresh from bird's eye. You throw it in the microwave and it's done in 5 minutes! So easy! I also use the spray butter on light loaf bread. It's like 45 cal a slice with lots of fiber. It's surprisingly good and only 1 pt. for 2 slices.

:scared1: I got goosebumps reading that. SO scary and soooo glad you were there! I don't even want to think about what could have happened!

has anyone heard from Monica or Sandy or Melinda? I worry about missing peeps!

Yes, I am real! Punkin (Dawn) has even met me IRL and can vouch for it.

yep, i met her in the queue for space mountain! it was pretty random and funny...wish i could've talked to her longer! they were in the standby line and i was zooming by in the fastpass line.

oh, and i'm 33 pounds lighter because of these peeps! the power of peepage is strong!!!!

pixie - i thought i quoted you but i guess not. i e-mailed melinda and she's fine - just busy. i haven't heard from sandy or monica though. has anyone else?

You rang? :cool2:

I'm fine and thanks for asking about me. Dawn pm'd me yesterday to stop by.

I'm just being lazy, eating junk food, and not exercising. I've gained 8 pounds since last fall. I keep telling myself I'm going to get back on track. I AM still eating my oatmeal and flax seed every morning!

I'm probably not going to read ALL the way back. Can somebody give me the Reader's Digest version of what's happening over here?

Gayle! FREE DINING! Awesome!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

KAT?! 20 pounds! Also awesome!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Hope everyone is having a beautiful, sunny day just like we are today! :flower3:

Melinda, glad to "see" you!! Yeah, I recommitted on Feb 5th. Unfortunately, 15 of those 20 were the ones that creeped on since last August (including a whopping 12 from the Deluxe Dining Plan in Jan).

RD version... hmm. Lynda got her first paying photo job and is super busy. Sandy and Monica are MIA. UM gave up Dt Pepsi and is kicking butt. We are in a contest w/ another thread which causes an occasional drop-in to trash talk. Dawn continues to maintain her awesome weight loss. Laura continues to respond to everyone (which I totally admire!).

I know I have missed people... someone else help!!

Yup, I recognized her because of all the pics. It was definitely a drive-by but still fun!

I am tired and don't want to play anymore. Is it the end of my workday yet?

She (DISNEYLAURA) is awesome, I always look for her posts, I don't think she ever misses anything! (ok, now the pressure is on :goodvibes )

She gets my vote for "good peep of the week!"

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

. I also try to drink at least 64 oz of water, and I occasionally take a Mega-T green tea caplet at about 11:30AM to get through my workout. I also take a multivitamin daily.

Thanks for the tip! I will definitely look for this Mega green T caplet. I could really use something to make the most of my torture sessions- I mean workouts.

I don't know what this DVD is considered....Callenetics....is it strength training? not cardio, because you move slooow, similiar to pilates. I don't know how to "class" it....what am I doing???? Well, it's working for muscle definition, I just need to move more and burn off some of the stuff covering it up!

I know I'm not supposed to drink coffee but I just discovered the Sugar Free Iced Coffee at McDonalds! (it was that or the diet coke while shopping at Walmart!) It's really goooood. Now I feel naughty! (Mormons don't drink coffee, remember?). I as rewarded my hard work with getting my nails done!!!! :cool1: I also self-tanned this morning so now I feel soooo cute!

Doing little things for yourself once in a while is fabulous! :lovestruc I refuse to feel guilty!

It's cheap, too... I think like $4.50 for 30 caplets at my Wal-mart. I don't really follow the instructions, I just take one w/ about 8-16 oz water, about 30-60 min before my workout. I have tried following the directions and it makes me too jumpy.

Still trying to pick a place for one more ADR in July.

What do you guys think about the Dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the GF?

My trip will be an all girls trip. DH has decided he cant do Disney 2 years in a row so it is going to be me, dd (16), DD girlfriend (16) and dd (12). I've never done a solo vacation before either- who's going to hold my stuff???? DH was the designated bag carrier/holder since he is a none rider.

I'm also considering, Kona or Ohana. Decided against the Big River Grille- We are not very adventrous in our tastes - my girls wont eat seafood at all- and I tend not to try things I cant pronounce.

UM: I have a question and I hope I dont offend. My dd2 has a friend who is Morman. We are big tea drinkers. DD's friend wont drink tea. I always thought it was a personal preference but I seem to recall her saying that "she couldnt have it" so my question: Is there a religious reason? When I know she is going to be over I usually try and make sure she has something else to drink.
