DIS Meet Dec 8 07

:guilty: I just tried to get the sneak preview tickets for the Tinker Bell movie (@ MK). But, they were all sold out. If anyone has two (2) extra tickets, please let me know. :goodvibes Thanks!!!!

Well... my flight was changed yesterday so instead of leaving tonight I don't leave til Thursday afternoon.. :guilty:

I wanted to get home, my best friend's grandma passed away and the wake is Wednesday and the Funeral is Thursday and I am going to miss both now.. I have been a part of their family for 12 years..

oh, and, To top if off... Fay switched courses and we are back down to 20 - 30mph winds instead of 50+ :headache:

Stacy:

I'm sure your friend will understand that the airline had to make sure that everyone was safe. Spend a little extra time with her when you get home andshe can appreciate your company. That will probably mean more to her; it would to me!

Have a safe flight home!

Beth

I spoke with her and she said, she knows im with her in heart.. and Yes, when I get home we are planning on getting together on Saturday when she has a few minutes of peace after the company leaves on Friday night

Stacy,

:flower3: Sorry to hear about your friend's grandma. I hope you are able to get out and able to attend the funeral tomorrow. If not, I am sure she will appreciate visiting with you on Saturday.

:woohoo: We got our second set of Magical Express tags in the mail yesterday. These are for our trip from VWL back to MCO. That will be the saddest day of the whole trip. But, there is a silver lining . . . We'll be back in November for Thanksgiving. :cool1: I anticipate that trip to be more crowded with all the holidays visitors. But, WDW is decorated so beautifully for the holidays. We've made it a family tradition. :santa:

:umbrella: The weather here in Texas has been pretty weird for August. It has been rainy or overcast since this past Thursday. The weather forecast shows rain all the way through the weekend. At least our electric bill should be lower than last year. Our biggest bill by far is usually August. I can't believe how much the gas prices have gone down around here this past week. Is it a tease or are they going to stay in the low $3.40's???? That would be nice. I paid $3.41 a gallon this past Friday.

:teacher: We are homeschooling again this year. However, we did tour a school on Monday. It is a Charter School (Meaning: lower child/teacher ratio and all funded by the state/no out-of-pocket money except for school supplies). :thumbsup2 Our tour went great. Will whispered to me, "I want to go here." They have a really neat open library with couches, bean bags and a fish tank. It felt so comfortable. The school just felt inviting as opposed to Will's old school which felt very sterile. Also, every Friday they have Chick Fil A day, where the kids get to order their lunch. Will and Emily both love their chicken. So, when they heard that their eyebrows raised.;) Both kids agreed if given the opportunity, they would like to attend the school. However, they are on a waiting list. So, I will plan to homeschool Will and Emily this year unless notified by the school. Then, we will keep our fingers crossed for next year.

:cheer2: Will had his first football game of the season this past Saturday. :woohoo: They won! He was soooooooo excited. He is with a different coach and team this year. :cheer2: Emily cheered in her first game. It is funny watching 5 and 6 year olds trying to cheer together. They're getting better. They both have their photos this Saturday before their games. They are excited. They will miss two games while on vacation. I forewarned Emily's Cheer Coach. I don't know if Bill has told Will's Football Coach yet. :rolleyes1

:sad1: My "little baby" will turn three on Saturday. Where does the time go? Since the kids have games on Saturday, we're having Cole's party on Sunday. I sure hope the weather forecast changes by then. We sent out the invitations as a "Pool Party". We planned to grill and swim. I need to have alternative plans in place if the weather decides to not cooperate.

:goodvibes Jennifer

:goodvibes I hope everyone had a nice weekend. The kids had another football game (still pre-season) on Saturday. :sad2: Will's team lost (6-0). But, he did make a tackle right before the half that knocked the ball carrier over and stopped a touchdown. :cheer2: Emily's team won. She was cheering her little heart out even though it was close to 100 degrees :crazy2: Will came home soaked. I am sure they both sweat off a few pounds. They have their first official games this upcoming weekend. Wish them luck!

:sad1: Cole celebrated his 3rd birthday this past weekend. My baby is no longer a baby.

party: We had Cole's Pool Party on Sunday. The weather cooperated. The sun was shining and more people showed up than RSVP'd. I'm half-Italian. So, we had plenty of food for everyone. ;) It was a great day. Cole loves his new Leapster. Now, he'll leave Emily's alone. ;) Cole looks and acts like a "big" kid now. I am sure it helps that he has a big brother and sister to look up to. He's their shadow and mimicker. It's cute. Now, the big challenge . . .

to get him potty-trained!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes1

From past experience with Will and Emily, Emily was sooooooooooo much easier to train than Will. So, I know this is going to be a battle. I was hoping Cole would be potty-trained by our cruise next month. But, it's not looking good. If he was fully trained, we could put him into the Oceaneer's Club. But, it looks like we'll have to reserve him some time at Flounder's. I am sure one of these days, we'll go on a cruise where childcare isn't an issue. We have the same issue at the WDW resorts. Their onsite childcare doesn't start until age 4. That's why we use Kid's Nite Out. They can watch all three kids. :dance3:

:guilty: Bill is in Washington state this week on business. This morning, we dropped him off at 5:30 am for his flight. :headache: I am kind of dragging today. :cloud9: I need a nap. But, once I'm up for the day, I can't lay back down. Will has football practice tonight. So, we'll need to head out this afternoon to that. The kids around here start school today (Monday) and tomorrow. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the Charter School will call this week with an opening. Even so, I'm starting the kids schoolwork tomorrow. I've got the office all set up for them. It's nice having a home office separate from all the chaos of the house.

 I can't wait to hear about everyone's trips (Wendy, Brack and Merryl should have some great photos to share soon.) :flower3: Everyone have a great Monday.

:goodvibes Jennifer

My mom received 3 phone calls and 2 people went by her job this morning after only being open for 30 mins to tell her our beloved Frodo was in the street only a few blocks from our house. She called me around 10:30 this morning so I took care of what I needed to at work and left to pick him up drove up and down the street for at least 30 minutes and couldn't find him anywhere and I knew the city would not have picked him up already. I went by our house to see if there was anything at our house or a newly dug hole and nothing. I finally got myself together to post this but I really don't know what I am going to do at 3:00, how in the world do I tell my babies this happened. I am so heart broken because my oldest has been scared to death to play with him without his leash and just last week he said mom its OK me and Frodo trust each other now, he doesn't have to be tied up anymore when we play. (When he was a 1 1/2 he was attacked by a dog so he has always been scared of loose dogs). OK I am crying again, his birthday is this weekend and we are suppose to go to walmart and get him a new leash and color for his b-day and this happened.

I am so sorry to hear this. Make sure that you call the city and ask if they did pick him up--sometimes our city is more efficient that you would expect (although not often). I know how hard it can be to explain to children that their beloved pet is gone. I've had to do it too many times myself. Help them remember the good times and all the fun. A few smiles through the tears will help. Beth

... Oh, Beth..I won a Tink from a Ducky presentation!!!! :cool1:

... L

Congratulations! My "Ducky" is still in its packing tube tucked away until we decide whether or not we're going to move. I can't wait to see the pictures. Jim and I thought about you two often during the time you were away! Today is the day we should find out the genders of the twins (if they cooperate)! Then we'll have a better idea of what we're going to do about our living situation. Beth
