DIS Meet Dec 8 07

OK, start encouraging everyone you know to book "dummy dates" for this December. Leslie and I really need a cruise. I found out last night that DS has the entire month of December off (except for the 19th ) so I'm free to travel then and won't have to worry about DDIL! And I don't have to give a lot of notice at work. I have so much vacation time that they're trying to FORCE me to use it, because I get 25 more days on January 1!

Well any discounts will show up like they did last year..sometime in October. DCL does it when the ship has too many empty cabins. Hopefully there will be lots of empty cabins!!

JoJo and I are alone again for a few days. Annette has gone on vacation at her Mom's for a little over a week. This is catch up from when our DS and I took a week at WDW last April.

Next Friday I'll meet up with her, DS and friends for a week at Lake Junaluska, NC.

Home from the Wonder with some "rumors"

ok so before I explain I have to tell you I giggled the whole time, knowing I was coming home to tell you all what I "heard" about the new ships.. because Captain John said, he doesn't want to see anything he says Posted on the Boards as a definate fact.. because they are still in a "planning" stage

Ok so first off the ships are in Germany and the first one looks to be complete in the end of 2010 and the other at the end of 2011..

2nd.. Alaska is a good possibility.. but not set in stone so don't mark calanders yet...

3rd.. the ships will be 2 levels higher, and 30 - 35 feet wider.. soooo.. with that.. there will not be enough room in Cape Canavaral for all 4 sooo there is a possiblity that the Wonder then the Magic will be sent to other locations.. California, Southern Caribbean, The Baltic and The Mediterranian were all "mentioned"

Ooh, thanks for the rumours Stephanie!!

We're planning on booking the inaugural for the Oasis of the Seas in a few weeks. She sails Dec 2009. So an late 2010 or early 2011 DCL inaugural would be perfect!

I did most of the packing four our Navigator of the Seas cruise next week. I set aside the additional stuff we'll need on Independence as we only have 3 days between sailings!

Stacy - I hope we enjoy better weather at CC than you did. We do have two chances to get it right since it is a DD. Have fun in September.

Brack - Aren't you and Annette heading to WDW soon? I know Tina and Robby will be there in October (sorry we'll miss y'all). I am hoping they "officially" announce the DVC property at The Contemporary on our DVC Member cruise. If they do, we'll be sure to let you know. We have been holding out to add-on there. However, I know it is going to be the most expensive property points-wise and the initial investment/dues.

Who loves Disney mail????????? Me! Me! Me!

We received our Magical Express packet in the mail. This is the first time we have flown to WDW. Also, it is Emily and Cole's first flight ever. It will be such a change to get to Orlando in three hours as opposed to 19 hours. It may ruin us for future trips.

We also received the AP magazine Mickey Monitor. I've already read it from beginning to end (just like I do with the DVC magazine). There is a Passholder pre-screening of the new Tinker Bell movie on September 27 & 28 at Magic Kingdom. We just happen to be there during that time. So, we will definitely go to one of the showings. I need to order our tickets online. We missed the AP preview of TSM by one week. So, this is a nice make-up for that. Maybe, we'll get a sneak peak at the new Tink Meet & Greet area too??????? That would be pretty neat. We'll see . . .

We just got our Magical Express tickets too! This time I'll wait until we go through customs at Dulles to put them on though. Last time the ticket agent at the Brussels airport took them off when she put the United Airlines tags on.

I should be getting our booking packet from ABD for next years trip any day now too. I booked our flights for next year's trip today. It was 11 Euro each to fly to Prague and 15 Euro each to fly home from Vienna. That was without the taxes of course! After all the fees it was around $420 total for the 2 of us. But that is definitely not a bad deal.

Friday is a Belgian holiday so just one more day of work before our next vacation.

Thanks... We are doing the Double Dip to CC as well in September, so I am hoping at least one of those days are nice enough so the Family gets to do their parasailing and DS gets to enjoy his wave runner

Every time there is a special on tv about all the locks at the Panana Canal, we are glued to the tv. It really is an interesting and longggggggggg process to get through the Panama Canal. I also get a kick out of the youtube videos from the Magic a few years ago. Very cool.
