We have the late sitting for dinner and have two four year olds, please tell me what you think? Will the children miss a lot of activites b/c of dinner later at night! I really need some tips thanks so much! Mandi

I have a 2 year old and had the late seating...if your children like the shows it's a good time...depends on your kids are they awake at that time or not?
The late seating allows for two things...getting your photo's with the characters etc. out of the way while the people from first seating are eating - (go early!!) and going to the 6:30 shows...but the only one my daughter sat through was Disney Dreams because of all the characters...otherwise she lost interest in about 15 minutes and we had to leave!
She also had a very hard time at the late seating...she usually would nibble then I'd have to stroll her around and hope she fell asleep...As you can guess I ended up eating in the room most nights!
Good luck!

If you don't think your kiddo's can make it that late you can either request a change before you depart to the earlier seating, I hear they do try to accomodate you but it's first come first serve!...or you can order their food early like 5 from room service and have them eat in the room...or take them up to the pizza place or pluto's for bergers/chicken - maybe they'll stay in the kids clubs while you dine? - MAYBE!
GOOD LUCK!

I agree, it definitely depends on your child. Our DS5 did great during the early seating. He was served his Mac and Cheese right away and completed his dinner as we finished our appetizers. Either DH or I would take him to the club (he couldn't wait to get there), returned to the dining room and enjoyed a calmer meal.

DH and I then had some private time until 9:00 or so. We picked up DS and placed him in bed, stating he could stay up as long as he wanted to watch Disney movies. Of course, he was asleep in 10 minutes and we enjoyed wine on our verandah.

A lot of folks have kids that do better at the late seating. It really does depend on the child.
