Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Probably another unknown, but has anyone heard about the plan for the Yacht club exterior work given that they just completed a lot of work on exterior poolside? Wondering if they'd be doing work on the back again starting in July or if that's all done and they'd be working mostly on the side and front.

Hi all! I will be stay YC CL for the first time. I have noticed a few mentions of noticeable noise from food preparation areas in a room or two. I have no problem with certain distractions. But if I really wanted early morning and late night plate clunking or glass clinking, I’d stay home!

What should I request to avoid the clinking, etc.?! Thank you, Yachties! 🙂

A few years ago I had the room next to the lounge and was awake all night due to the elevator and early morning clinking getting the lounge ready. I requested from the lounge CM to move my room as soon as 6:30 AM when the lounge CM came on duty. I had to sit one more night but they put me in a room that I originally requested, and also gave me a $200 room credit. Do not call to request a room change since it goes to a central operator. Go to the Lounge Manager. Now I would request from signature services now a room not near the elevator and or the lounge that usually that will do it. I would call them.

Just curious, what view category do you have booked?

Personally, the odds of getting those few rooms that do get some noise are so limited, it’s such a relatively low probability to the point I don’t see it enough to take any action, but others may feel differently.

Does anyone know? I have the same question - wondering if perhaps the Yacht Club would be a better option now rather than the Beach Club.

Nobody here knows so we are only able to guess that the only part of either resort that should not have scaffolding are the sections by SAB for YC & BC. All other sections status are unknown.

The Porte Cocheres maintenance work has started at the BC, and the Porte Cocheres at YC are scheduled to start in July. The scaffolding work if any on the other parts of the resort has not been announced by Disney,

5171 is the water view room that is right next to the lounge prep room. 5170 & 5172 are the resort view rooms that are next to the lounge & across from the prep room. There is a room map in the YC section on the first page. You could look at that & pick a range of rooms you’d prefer, avoiding those 3 rooms & make that your request. Ex 5174-5180.

Picture posted on FB with the heading “Signs of life at Hurricane Hanna’s.” I’ll update if anything further is posted.

This summer will be our first time at SAB in warm weather—how crazy are the lines/wait at Hurricane Hannah’s? Just wondering how far in advance we need to think about feeding the kids, who tend to get hangry if the meals don’t show up on time.

Hi, GADisneyDad14, I booked a water view room. Thought I’d go whole hog! Thank you for your thoughts on the matter. It does seem that the risk is very low. I won’t worry too much, in that case!

Thank you, I’ll have a look at the map!

“7am… they are cleaning the chairs, and life jackets are out and on display. Signs of life today…” ETA: She also mentions the red lifeguard umbrellas as up.

I also see the towel bin out.

Thanks for this update with pics! Is the scaffolding still around the beach club near the back resort entrance ?
