My first choice was POR royal room. My co-first was AOA but the dollars aren't there. My third voice was CSR. ASMovies and then POFQ. My sixth was deciding between POP and CBR.

In the end we booked three rooms at CBR from 9/20-9/27. I'm trying to fall in love with CBR like I did with POR.

All Star Sports and uograded dining, 11/9 -11/15. Wanted CBR but it was sold out. Hoping it opens up after all the excitement dies down.

Thanks for posting. I had almost the same play-by-play except I woke up at 2:50am after checking at midnight and never went back to bed. I was also wanting POP for 10/3-10/11 and you could have knocked me over with a feather when online came up as FD sold out. Never occurred to me to try 10/2 and modify later. Bravo to you! I just stared at the iPad at offer to book Sports and I couldn't commit - went with RO. At POP instead. For us FD doesn't save us $$ but was looking forward to having it. Kudos to you!,,

Hahaha! It's kind of relieving to know that someone saw the same thing I did. I was just in shock that POP wasn't available that quickly after the offer came out. I didn't want to commit to Sports, so I'm glad things worked out the way they did. How did you get the room offer? Was it only good on the 3rd or is it good for your entire stay like FD if you check in on a participating date? And thank you! Here's to planning

I had no intentions to book a WDW vacation with the FD promo since we were booked for a Disney cruise in November out of Miami. However, last night I discovered that United has canceled their direct flights from DC to Miami area (and did not even notify us) so now we were being forced to fly north, connect in Newark and then fly back south to FL. This just didn't sit well with us so after debating it all day we decided to cancel the cruise and book a WDW trip. We felt it was a sign that I discovered this change the same day Free dining was released. (The flights were booked with points so cancelling with UA and booking with a different airline was not an option)

My first choice would have been POFQ but I already knew that was excluded, CSR was already sold out in standard rooms so we opted for a value resort. It was between ASsp or Music. Since this trip is to celebrate younger DS's bday, he got the final say and picked sports. I upgraded to the DDP as that's what we always get. We're all excited because "We're going to Disney World!!!!!!!!"

Well I didn't start looking until this evening, and by that time I had a pretty limited selection. It is kind of tricky for us because we are 5 people, 3 grown kids (college age) and parents. Getting 2 rooms is a pain on the website and getting through on the phone doesn't seem possible.

So I did manage to do the reservations online. 2 rooms at AS Music and upgraded to the regular dining plan. That turned out to be the best option for us this time.

Called around 9am and had to book 5 rooms @ pop and wanted 5 suites @ AOA, all suites sold out everywhere, so I booked 8 rooms @ pop, 11/14-11/22,
FREE qs dining!!!! and believe me we got back in april and had to pay for our dining and you get spoiled having the fd!! we missed using our snacks and having to pay for our dole whips and stuffed cheese pretzels! the cm mentioned a lot of rooms were sold out already this morning. very thankful it's done and the countdown begins!!! Good Luck dissers!

And looking at the confirmation email is like trying to decipher your cable bill. But I think the discount applied to most nights. As you know our dates end when Columbus Day weekend begins so Friday is the most expensive night. For the 8 nights it broke down to $104 (1n), $108 (5nights), a $130 and a $133. So not bad at all!

No, not bad! But that makes sense. Based on the regular non-discounted rates showing for our dates right now it goes $130/ $130/ $108 x 5/ $133. So basically it sounds like you got a $26 discount (exactly 20% off) on the first day to get the $104/$130/$108 x 5/ $133. I guess RO doesn't work like FD, it only discounts the days in which it is listed for.

After the dates were released i knew that my first choice datewise wasn't going to happen, so we adjusted our dates to fit the FD offer and got everything we hoped for without a problem on the website. 4 days, 5 nights Pop with upgraded dining

Very Happy right now....

11 of us in 3 CBR standard rooms to be booked for 10 days of FD (upgraded to DDP)...we were supposed to go in April but unfortuantely that fell through although everything was already paid for......long story short had moved dates to last week sept/first week oct with one extra night and with the moving of dates lost our original discount so we still owed approx $4000...

Waited till mid-afternoon US East Coast time as I figured that would be a quite time in terms of getting someone on the phone....got through after 5 mins....good timing as it seems most of the CBR standard rooms have gone now....

With FD discount ended up clearing the $4000 owed and actually was refunded about $300 even with the addition of the extra night

Got FD!!! It was my first choice, staying at Pop Century, Nov 12-18th!!! We decided not to do the regular DDP this year and just do the quick service so we have a more relaxing time with not having to be somewhere each night for dinner.

We ended up saving $753 on our total!!! We are very happy!

Me too... Except we are checking into pop on November 1. I am only trying to make one ts reservation and even that is stressing me out! I know I did the right thing in only getting quick service this year.

Was happy to get FD but on our dates, 10/31-11/4 couldnt get beach club, our first choice. Now at boardwalk inn.

My first choice wasnt available at first which was interconnecting at the Pop..

So I booked a cabin at the wilderness cabins..

Then I rang back a few hours after it started and Pop was available sk I cancelled one and remade with pop upgraded to deluxe FD for 13 nights in September. Standard rooms though hope they are good quality... :-/

We were booked at full rate already with nothing so this has indeed saved us thousands.

That is what we are doing, 1 tableservice OOP- Be Our Guest and I am stressing about it when I have to call next week! and Hoop Dee Doo Revue and the rest is whatever we feel like with quick service!

I booked two preferred rooms at CBR. I went in knowing that I would book CBR, but I checked WL out as well. With two rooms it was just too much money for me.

I couldn't get the website offer to come up so I started calling. I got nothing but fast busy signals and circuits busy messages....from 7 am on. So I called the Guest Services number that I have and got transferred right away to an agent.

At the same time the offer appeared online. I ended up booking online with the agent checking the WL rates for me.

It wasn't a perfect experience, but its DONE! Good prep for my Christmas week stay. Can someone pass the patience pills please!

This is our first time in September without FD. I almost feel anxious we aren't booking with it (we did a 30% RO instead)! We book FD and use the tickets to renew our passes, but this year we are letting them expire and taking a year off before we burn out on WDW (we're pretty local and take lots of day trips). The stress!! Lol.
