Available except for MK. 1st link on thread. When will park hours be posted for.......

Now that the December schedule is up, I'm having a tough time figuring out where to go when. Pretty sure we're going to avoid both MK and Epcot on Christmas Day - we'd love to be there, but the crowds would drive us nuts and would cancel out the fun, I think. Epcot's the tentative plan for Christmas Eve, with a possible Candlelight Processional dinner package if I can grab one (and yes, I know it'll be nuts then, too).

We really love AK - I know the lower crowds would probably make this ideal, but in terms of a holiday feel - would you spend Christmas Day here?

What is everyone planning on doing for the 25th?

Doing RD at MK. Planning to spend 3-4 hours and be ride gonzo's until the thrust of the wave approaches around 10am and head back to the resort. I will probably try for some FP+ after 10pm for either MK or HS if they extend hours for HS. I'm also hoping to land an Ohana reservation for Christmas dinner. We are going to do Candlelight on xmas eve as well and will target the 8:15PM service not sure where we will have dinner with the package. We went to Candlelight Processional on xmas eve 2011 and it wasn't bad at all. I don't really have a burning desire to catch illuminations so we can watch it while exiting the park.

My friend and I just officially changed out trip dates from September to December. We'll be in WDW 12/1-12/5/14 and staying WL, Courtyard View. It's my first time to first during Christmas time. I can't wait!!

I booked our trip for 12/19/12/24! We are staying at WL in a bunk bed room. The kids don't have any idea! Woohoo!!

Hello everyone! I found this thread and thought I'd join in. My Wife and I have a trip booked for 12/13-12/20. We're staying at the Pop and doing the Table Service Dining Plan! Only 5 more days until we get to make ADR's! Woo Hoo! :yay:

Hello! I'm new to these boards, but a WDW vet. ;)

H and I will be leisurely touring the resorts and DTD on 11/29, at MK on 11/30 for the Christmas Party (LTT ADR! Couldn't get BOG, of course) and staying at the Grand Floridian that night (it's my first time back to the GF since '91!) and we'll be park hopping on 12/1, using the EMH to go to AK in the morning, back to MK to get lunch at BOG, then to EPCOT until close (Biergarten ADR- planning to book a Candlelight Processional package), and back to MK for the evening EMH! Then, if we haven't already collapsed, we're going to Universal for 3 days, staying at Loews Royal Pacific, specifically to see the new Diagon Alley expansion!

This will be our first trip to Orlando in the winter and H's 2nd-ever WDW trip! I've always previously gone in the summer (I think we went over spring break once). I'm having so much fun planning for this and I'm so excited that I could just vomit. :-P

I'm so HAPPY!!! Finally got to make our reservations yesterday! We are going December 1-6 and will be staying at Pop Century! We had planned on flying this time, but can't afford it, so we are driving again. (About a 10-12 hour trip.) We haven't been in 10 YEARS, so December can't get here fast enough for me!! Can't wait to see all the "new" things and the Christmas decorations!! :cool1:

Sounds like we have the same drive. It's about 10 hours for us as well but seems to go by fast. Have a great trip! =)

Last time I drove from Birmingham to POP (March 2009), it only took me 8 hours. I had it down to a science and we only stopped when we could pee, eat, & get gas in one big stop. I think we had 7 hours of drive time and 1 hour of stop time (2 stops). DH travels enough for work that we have frequent flyer miles and fly for free. I love flying, but the drive wasn't too bad.

When you drive down, do you go over to Atlanta and go down or do you just go down through Montgomery? We were wondering which way would be quicker. Thanks!! :goodvibes

I am so excited!!!! Today was our 180 day mark!!! Got reservations for Sanaa, Tusker House, CRT, Askerhus, and Hollywood and Vine!!!! Couldn't get anything for BOG tho :(

We take 280 down through Auburn to Columbus and all the way to Tifton. We pick up 75 in Tifton. I avoid the drive to Atlanta if I can. They are always doing so much road work on 20.

Woohoo!!! Going back Dec. 12-20. Can't wait!! Fourth year in a row. We may be a little obsessed with Christmas at Disney. Lol.

Jumping on...

12/10-17th at the Port Orleans Riverside.

My wife and I will be spending our fifth Christmas at WDW from Dec 20 to the 29, 2014. We are staying at the All Star Sports since we just need a room to shower and sleep as we spend the days at the parks and in TS restaurants. Also at Christmas time, we spend a lot of time visiting the nicely decorated resorts including Wilderness Lodge and the Grand Floridian. We often do our mid-day break just relaxing in the lobby area of a resort close to a park.
We have the free DDP so we usually eat a breakfast buffet mid morning after a few hours in a park and then a signature dinner late at night. We hope to score all our ADRs Monday morning (our 180 day mark). Narcoosee's, BoG (???), Le Cellier, Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, Cape May, The Wave of American Flavors, Akershus, Chefs de France, Rose and Crown, Mama Melrose's, 50s Prime Time,
Sci-Fi, Hollywood and Vine, Tusker House and Yak and Yeti are all on our list!
Since we are "seniors" and have some health issues, we don't do the big thrill rides which makes park planning a bit easier. We are planning on riding the 7DMT this year for the first time but that's about as thrilling as our riding gets. But, of course, there is so much more to do at all the parks and then with all the added holiday happenings, we will be on the go from early am to late pm!
Hoping to read others ideas and plans for the Christmas holiday at WDW.:wave2:
