Back from soccer round one. DS finished the day with the tie and a loss. The home team scored late in game one on a bogus hand call penalty kick to tie the game. Second game the heat got to them as the home tie ran them pretty hard.

Hopefully my game tonight will have a better result; and maybe a bit cooler..

There are some nic pictures posted today, looks like there have been some great trips.

DS has two soccer games today so spending the day driving and at the soccer pitch. When were done with that, I get to play one myself later tonight. Today there will be much kicking.

hopefully not much screaming. (sometimes those two are a combo)

thats all i have. ill be meeting up with dave (theduck) and randall (cinderellafella) in about 50 days!

Brilliant. And, my idea to form it as a tax exempt organization was scoffed. Then, there would be the electronic devices purchased to maintain communication that could be deducted and all the vacations for work purposes.

Well, the Cubs did get hammered last night, but I was talking about the movie. Normally, I can tolerate one of my dds movies and the game was nothing special. But, the spin from that movie was over in the first 15 minutes or so. Then, it was just painful.

Not much planned today. I am going to cut the grass and try to clean the house. Then, church tonight at 5:30. Everyone is still sleeping this morning and I'm enjoying the quiet. Hope you all have a great day.

Just discovered DISDADS this morning, I think its awesome, Taking my 4 year old daughter to DW in OCT and very excited about it. We have our costumes for MNSSHP all ready to go, everything basically all set up. A friend of mine laughed when I said we were staying in the LM rooms @ AoA resort and asked if I wish I had a boy instead, told her im proud to have a lil girl and all the fun stuff we get to do, any good tips for a dad taking a 4 yr old for the first? it will be my daughter,myself and my mom and we have CC reservations and BBB reservations before MNSSHP

Welcome!! Brain not working, can't think of what CC is. Doing BBB for the first time in a couple of weeks. Biggest advice for 4yo in general is that they are in charge. If they want to ride ISAM twenty times in a row... that's what you do. Have a great time!! Very envious!! want to do MNSSHP!!!

My mom's birthday on Tuesday... Going to have them up today either for Dinner here, or we go out for Dinner.

They live in a Condo and have no Barbecue... so outdoor grill is always a hit.

and so it begins...

I left the truck I usually drive with the mechanic on station for an oil change on Friday and I was going to load the truck for the meeting today. Dead battery. No jumper cables and they don't give me a key for the maintenance shop. I decided to just buy a new battery but and after about 15 minutes got one connection removed and went to look at the other one but didn't even attempt it. Completely rounded off. So I unloaded all the tomato stakes in the bed of the 2nd truck and will be off to the meeting a couple hours later than I had planned. Now I will get to return to the holler tomorrow to switch trucks after the mechanic replaces the battery. At least I won't have to man the registration table all afternoon trying to give directions to buildings I don't know where they are.

The 8th is when we are doing MNSSHP, that would be cool to meet up if yall are there the same night. have yall already figured out what costumes yall are doing? I understand the blood quote, I feel the same way, my daughters been through a tough time this past year, im a single dad and her mom isnt around alot, so its been a tough adjustment for her, and even though this trip isnt going to magically make her feel better, if it makes her smile for a few days, weeks, months or years its well worth it.

That's what we do. My mission is to get my DD from one smile to the next!

Getting ready to o Sunday dinner. On the menu tonight is mushroom and ricotta ravioli, meatballs and mushroom/tomato sauce.

sounds very appetizing... I am skipping lunch in preparation for the Melting Pot tonight!! swiss cheese fondue with dippers, probably the spicy chicken, beef, shrimp, and andouille sausage entree, followed by chocolate fondue with marshmallows, bananas, brownies, and cheesecake!

my stomach just growled after I wrote that.

long day so far. up early for softball. lost badly today playing with with half our usual team. My last weekend playing this summer since we leave in..

7 days!

after the game I spent a few hours driving around to pick up last minute things. I had a few gift cards laying around, and so i tried to use them all. bought a Duo Pro memory stick from Walmart, an SDHC card, a flash diffuser, and a battery charger from Best Buy, then went to 3 different craft stores to buy small canvas bags for DW's FE project. also stopped at Party City and Big Lots.

after drinking almost a gallon of water during the games, I used the bathroom at each of the stores.

dave, the big lots had the worst bathroom, just in case you were wondering. Walmart's was the best.

Not sure I'd go that far. I might try to coax into another ride. I took my youngest when she was 18 months and oldest was 3. We would have never found the princesses with that attitude.
