Man, I want to move to NY just to do the Auto Train... it sounds so cool :thumbsup2

Ahh... I was gonna loan you a dozen bright orange "Poke me, I'm a Tourist" shirts

The Auto-train is definitely an experience. Still have a few hours to drive to Virginia, but it is better than the 20+hour drive and an extra hotel stay. We can also load the car with more stuff "just in case".

My wife actually asked me if I was going to get a DIS Dad t-shirt. But I am drawing the line at matching outfits.

No, it was Duff.

I don't see how some people can drink beer and play softball though. The last thing I want when I'm doing something that involves moving around and sweating is a beer.

I agree. We have a park 2 blocks from our house that Evan can see from our front yard. He always checks to see if anyone is playing softball, then runs in the house to announce that a game is going on. So we walked down last night and watched a little bit. As we were sitting there, a young guy (probably 25ish) sits down in the bleachers behind us. He was carrying his bat and glove, so was obviously playing in the next game. I hear the "pssstch" of a can opening, so I glace back and he's sipping the first of his 4 or 5 16-oz Pabst Blue Ribbons. :crazy2:

:thumbsup2

If you are into it, our kids (Mine and Ron's) will be bringing peace to the galaxy Tuesday August 21st, right after rope drop at JTA (in DHS).

I've been thinking about doing that...I mean, my kids have. Yeah.

What's the procedure now - do you sign up at JTA right a rope drop while the crowd goes for TSM?

Too bad he and Dave don't live closer. It would be like having your own ESPN club in your house.

...and is there an age limit?:confused3

popcorn::

We're figuring that we won't get to do everything when we go in July, but having the kids do JTA is one of our goals. If I recall from reading other reports, the sign-ups are somewhere near the Sounds Dangerous theater...and your kids need to be present in line in order to sign up. So one of the parents needs to do the TSM fastpass run alone.

Just noticing your new TR... Nice interest on my part. Looks like I've got some catching up to do!

Friday staycation ownage.

Don't you control the universe????????? :rotfl2:

I'm beginning to wonder about that. We still haven't won the lottery or built the disdas clubhouse in Golden Oaks.

Not sure what to do today with my day off....laundry and dishes need to be done, BUT I haven't played Epic Mickey in months....hmmmm

Clear choice. What level of Epic Mickey did you get too?

Really? There's nothing out there that beer doesn't improve.

Wow, where have you been??? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Between our other site, FB, and here, it's hard to keep up! :confused3

Nevermind, work... Been pulling too many clinical shifts and not enough administrative time. Need to work on that....

I doubt my kids will be up for that. They are not the earliest risers in the world. :coffee:

We'll figure something else out. We have a few months.

I was just thinking about that game a couple of days ago... still haven't managed to dig it out again though. I'm not sure when the last time was that I even turned the Wii on.:confused3

Agreed...no time for games anymore....stupid real-life :sad2:

I find it easier to do the fastpass run alone, I can move through the masses easier then if I have those other three anchors weighing me down :rotfl2:

Not too far, was still in the Fantasyland levels when I stopped. My gaming skills have seriously erroded from lack of use.

You can always decide to take time to improve them. :rotfl2:
I hear ya - video game time was one of the things that lost out.

This is my understanding too...This is what we did 2 years ago.

:thumbsup2

As for age limit, I am not sure.

Off to go get Audrey and head to Amelia's school, where they are having a fun fair tonight. Should be a good time

Let the kid take a friend to the game tonight. Staying home and firing up the grill in a bit. BBQ chicken is on the menu. AMC is running a war movie marathon so will be plopped in front of the TV eating roast beast.
