That's where you messed up. You should have kept your mouth shut, turned in your resignation and bought every ticket you could get your hands on. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I thought about it. :lmao:

I did wonder how far it would have gotten, if we had let an error like that slip past us.

Heh. Years ago, when I was still earning a paycheck, I had this conversation (with someone in sales and marketing):

Me: The specs for this game [pull-tab game, ie, gambling] say it should be 3,960 tickets, at $1 each. And have 2 prizes of $1000, 6 prizes of $500, and assorted $50, $10, and $5 prizes.

Sales: That is correct.

Me: I think that's going to be a problem.

Sales: Why?

Me: It has $3,960 in tickets sales, and gives out $6,000 or so in prizes.

Sales: So?

Me: It has $3,960 in tickets sales, and gives out $6,000 or so in prizes.

Sales: So? (repeat another couple of times)

Me: It gives out more in prizes than it takes in.

Sales: Huh? It takes in $3,960, and then gives out *grabs calculator* $6,000 in prizes. I guess it might need a little tweaking.

I think I took a long and early lunch that day.

:sad2: Nice

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Yep... DIS Dad form there :thumbsup2

Frustrating day. Had to leave the hollers for the big city and got a few things done, but high on my list was treating myself to some Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout now that the family is away. Forgot it was election day in KY. No alcohol sales until after 6 PM. :sad2:

That's a weird law. Must be in place so that the election officials that count the ballots have some time to sober up before they start counting! :rotfl2:

But I doubt they actually hold off on selling that clear stuff that's made out in the woods.

Back from Avengers. It is still great the second time. Last load of laundry in and child at dance. I hope I don't have those backwards.

so... I made some additional ADRs for our trip. We've added the wishes dessert party to our first MK night, and we added the Flying Fish Cafe to the first night off the boat when we check into BC.

that has improved my mood considerably!

We didn't have a great meal at Flying Fish, but they've added a surf n turf I think, and I will try it again one day.

Kudos to you for at least wanting to do the Wii Fit...

Our Wii Fit was used once (maybe twice). I even bought the Wii Fit plus software only - about a year ago, I don't think the shrink wrap is even off it yet.

I bought DW Wii fit for Christmas a few years ago. She had asked for it. I think she has did it less than 10 times. But, she forbids anyone else in the house to use it.

You should know better. I am always stocked with at least 2 different forms of alcohol.

C'mon, you know we can't count here in KY.

We only don't make it on Sundays - Moses 11th commandment. But, we still drink it.

I just had the opening song for Tangled running through my head while reading this... so when are you gonna brush your hair? :lmao:

I work less at work than home. I cut my hair with clippers and no guard or #1 guard, so I won't be brushing my hair.

Strange day here. I just got an e-mail saying we can't use the walking/jogging trails at work (which is how I usually get to my car) because a bear has been spotted outside. That's a new one.

I thought it read beer. That would make everyone walk the path.

! May need to have a Keys vacation to celebrate.

CJ's hard life returns.

Find someone slower than you to walk out to the car with, that way if you see the bear you just need to outrun the other person.

And tell them to play dead as you run past them.

I'm being a slug today - intentionally so. Hard 2.5 mile run, 45 minutes of kettlebell class, and then grocery shopping was bad enough. I'll do dishes later - but I plan on doing some resting until it is time for DS soccer practice.

(After that, though, it will be dishes, mow part of the lawn, and do some random cleaning, and probably at least one load of laundry.)

Sounds like more work in a day than my usual week.

My high school ring is somewhere... in the garage, i think.
.

Mine is in my drawer. Never wear it.

can't find the time to organize what's in the garage to sell it. i wonder if i could just do it like they do when they auction off storage units... winning bid takes everything in the garage!! !

There's a guy at work that does that. He just goes to yard sales and buys it all. He resales some, fixes stuff up, and makes some extra money doing that. That commute may be a bit much.

Relatively busy day today. I'm only working a half day, but I need to get a good portion of a presentation for Saturday prepped. Then, this afternoon, I have to accompany DW to the hospital. Teach a class to 4 kids aged 4-7 from 7pm-8pm. Then I have dinner at 9 with a friend I haven't seen in a few months. Overall, should be an exciting day.

Sweet!! Now my DW will REALLY think I need help! :thumbsup2

Yup, it's all downhill from here.

I hope DW is ok. Have a great remainder of the day.

Only 3? And, you lost to another family member? And, a girl? You might be in danger of losing that man card.
