There was a comedian on Bob & Tom talking about playing dead during a bear attack. He said he didn't buy it and he encountered a bear, his plan was to find someone he thought he could outrun, and as he past them, tell them to play dead.

No Internet last night, folks at the front desk said it gets slow if everyone is on it at the same time.

The young lady at the front desk for 1900 Park Fare was awesome and able to get us in with no additional wait. My nephew had a birthday last week so she even added that! They brought cupcakes for all of the kids.

I am having coffee on the balcony and I have to say its awesome. We are heading to HS after lunch. We are going to enjoy the resort this morning while we wait for the scooter to be delivered along with the top secret b-day cake for my SIL and MIL.

I'll get some pics up later. Have a great one guys

Right now I'm at St. Pete Beach. In about 24 hours we'll be heading up I-4 to check in at Wilderness Lodge.

our local high school football team just won the pa. distict 11 championship!!!only the third time in school history!!!(beat easton, mijos schol)
one of the guys who graduated last year was at the game. hes a running back for princeton and was just named ivy league rookie of the year!!!
this stuff doesnt happen in a small town like ours!! the fire dept. is out with the fire trucks blowing the horns.

Congrats to the Blue Eagles of Nazareth, PA! It might have been a different story if the Red Rovers didn't have to play last weekend; Thursday morning against arch rival P'burg; and, again Saturday night against the Blue Eagles. Considering, they did well against a very quick Nazareth team. Nothing to be ashamed of here. At some point, they may have to choose between playing a 120 year old rivalry on T-Day or playing in the championship series; it's asking too much for them to do both and come out victorious.

Anyway, I figured I'd better try to get one post on this new thread before it's too late. Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving!

Congratulations. Like you, we are also in small town USA. I would love to see something like that happen with our football team, but the stars would really have to align in a major way for that to happen. And I mean a MAJOR way. However, if they ever do align, I sure hope that I'm alive to see it.

2 games in 3 days is crazy, regardless of what level of football one is playing. And you are right; common sense, at least to me, dictates that you might need to move a Thanksgiving game, regardless of the length of the rivalry, if one or the other teams is playing in a championship game on the weekend.

first off i hope things are going well for dw.i hope the treatments are going well and starting to kick in. still thinking and praying for you guys! ok, back to football.

what mike failed to mention, his 3 games in 8 days didnt stop is mighty bulldogs the last two years when they won the district championship.his thanksgiving day game, they blew out there arch rivals and had the scrubs in by the second half.
this is also the second time these two teams played this years, and yes, his mighty bulldogs lost both times.
