DDA Chapter 9

I went to work at 4 only to discover that the restaurant had no power. We normally open at 4 on Sundays so they decided to wait until 5 PM before deciding whether to open or not. So we sat in the dark and waited...and waited. At 5:30 PM they got hold of someone at the power company that was able to tell them that a transformer had blown and they were working on rerouting some cusotmers, but only half would get power back. If we were going to get power it would be back on in 10 -15 minutes. So we waited...another 1/2 hour. Still no power. The decision not to open was finally made and we started tearing down the salad bar. about 1/2 way through cleanup the power came on. Since several people had already left and we were well into tear down they stuck by the decision and home I came. So I will get paid for 2 hours at minimum waitress wage. Now there's some big money for our trip :lmao: I can't seem to settle down, I have a lot of nervous energy, but the things I need to accomplish can't be done this early. I'll be working tomorrow night and Tuesday night this week so I'll have time on Wednesday and Thursday for last minute errands, lawn mowing etc. Al 5 kids will be here this week so they are going to have to not make messes or stay outside.

Miss me?!?;)

Let me try and see if I can remember everything I read...

Elizabeth- I am glad to hear that your Mom didn't have an infection. Sorry the weekend has been frustrating for you.

Jennifer- Glad to hear that you and the girls are settling in nicely. :wizard: for Kyle and him getting into some type of routine. Loved the pictures!!

Tammi- I am glad your are getting some relief from the itching. Can I have some of those magic sleeping pills?

Elin- If you need help getting to Arundel Mills just call me! :goodvibes We frequent there a lot!

Tammi & Elin- I loved the pics of the trolley tour. I so wished we could have joined you all. All that history stuff is right up Emma's alley. We will definitely make it a priority to visit your fine city.

Bernadette- Congrats on the weightloss. Hope the kiddos are feeling better.

Amy- Cute kiddo pics!! Is your bag packed?:rolleyes1

Heidi- Glad that John is feeling somewhat better.

Tom- Leighanna is looking so much more grown up compared to last summer. How nice of her to ease her friend's fears at the amusement park.

Anne Marie- Love the recital pics. Again, the girls are gorgeous. I hope you can make it work for Katie to audition for the dance company.

Theresa- Sorry to hear about the minor accident. I agree that it is frustrating when you think you are making headway and something like that happens. :wizard:

Janet- I am glad to hear that you don't have to boil water any longer!

Deb- Glad to hear that Chris returned safely from the tree cutting expedition. And I agree the mommy snuggle time beats time on the Dis hands down.

Debbie- :yay: on going to the gym!! Keep it up. Thanks for the review on Zohan, it looks hilarious in the previews. I guess we will wait for the dvd.

Jen- 7 picnics in one day, that's a lot of burgers and dogs. Hope you hear something soon. :wizard:

Kristine- Welcome back. I'll have to check out your trip report for updates. I enjoyed reading all about your adventures!

I am positive I left someone or somethings out. :wizard: and 's all around.

does anyone know if gardengrocer charges for shopping I see they charge 12 for delivery
I see that wegoshop charges 17 plus delivery how much is their delivery fee

GLYNIS UPDATE

Just talked with Glynis. She just got home and will be on later tonight or tomorrow. She is fine. I didn't keep her on the phone so that she could handle stuff in her RL to get her to all of us sooner.

That's a relief. I'm glad she is safe :thumbsup2

I don't see how you missed anyone or anything, Robyn! :)

I figured it was quite close to you, and knew if I needed help I could call you. Many thanks for confirming that assumption. ;)

So you will have to let us know when you are headed our way!!

The charge for wegoshop is based on the dollar amount of groceries. You pay no upcharge for the groceries themselves. They shop at the store of your choice (or theirs if you don't specify). They give you the receipt so that you know that you paid exactly what they paid. You then pay the delivery fee. I believe it was a $17 delivery fee for an order up to $100 and $22 for $100-$200. We got $150 worth of groceries. She got exactly what we wanted and we even got an extra box of cereal because there was a sale 2 for the price of 1 so they picked up the free box for us.

I believe that gardengrocer you end up paying a premium for the food as well but the delivery fee is less.

I liked knowing exactly what I was paying for which is why I chose WeGoShop.

Thanks for the update on Glynis.

Your ADR's look great Terry. Maybe we can meet up for a quick hi/bye either the 5th or 6th. We are at AK on the 5th and Epcot on the 6th.

Hi Robyn!

Glad John is feeling better, Heidi.

Anne Marie - the girls look gorgeous! What nice trophies they got!

some weekends it does not pay to get out of bed...I am actually thinking of staying in bed next one.

We still have Mr. Ferret and I was trying to be nice to my family and make them cinnamon rolls this morning and my oven had a fire:rotfl2: I know I shouldn't laugh but we put it out with kitty litter and Jim's cleaning the litter out right now. The cobbler I made a couple of nights ago obviously left some combustible cherries so I could remember it.

But Kevin did finish the closet project, so I can finally get that organized for the boys! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the wonderful ditto-able post. :goodvibes

How was YOUR weekend?

And, thanks for the Glynis update, Vicki!

Good gracious Theresa...God obviously knows you have a sense of humor! Enough is enough!!!

great news

They look good, Terry! :thumbsup2

Thanks Elin, we went back and forth on doing the deluxe or regular dining plan and trying to coordinate being able to attend events for the Mouse Fest, so I think the deluxe plan won for us hands down. Plus, I wanted to do a few more character meals. You cannot even believe how many lunches we spent on this meal planning!!! :lmao:

Our cruise portion is already paid for. Now we hopefully will get good flights on a ding with SW. We got a fantastic deal staying at Pop. I will buy this summer my park tickets, everything is falling in place.

We have shirts that we can wear again, plus will make a few more.
