Heidi-glad to hear John is feeling better...sounds just about right that he would be doing lots of yard work yesterday.

Elizabeth-no Mr. Ferret doesn't stink but there is a reason that I've been stonewalling Abi about getting a ferret...he is not a pretty thing:rotfl:

Heidi - could you please point me to the what's for dinner thread?

Janet - I think it was you who made swedish meatballs in the crock the other day. Would you share your recipe please?

ETA: I found the WFD thread.

Amy its fine that Alyssa is in her pj's, they are comfy and besides she's young yet.

Well we never did get the storms they were calling for. Of course now that I have posted, they'll start.

Yeah, and Elizabeth admitted a little while ago that she's still in her pjs. ;)

I think we got your storms. I hope they pass by morning, so we have swim lessons!

Becky my weather bug was just flashing. Thunderstorms now through 11:00 tonight. Nothing severe though, hope you get some rain.

Still no rain here. Although it was raining near Hershey, but none here. They are calling for rain on and off this week, so hopefully we will get some.

I should get to bed. But I probably will not for awhile.

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend. We finally left here about 5:30pm on Friday after a ton of drama. One of the boys, the little one, woke up from his nap with a fever of 104.5 :scared1: I have never in my life had a kid have a fever that high. I called his dad, who then told me "Oh I'll call his mom and have her get a dr appt for him" He then hung up so I had no idea whether or not he was coming over here like he should be. Then Hayden proceeded to throw up. So as I am trying to clean him up and cool him down the other kids are going bonkers as they were awaiting snacks and drinks. It was now about a half hour later and still no dad, they live 2 streets over so he should have been in here in less than 10 minutes. I called the house and got no answer. :headache: Eric called grandma and amazingly 10 minutes later dad shows up. He really had no intention of coming to get his child because mom ended up here about 40 minutes later to pick the boys up, dad never called to let her know he got them. It was extremely infuriating.

But anyhow, after the kids (all of them were gone by 3:45) left I ran around here and packed. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute! I'm sure Elizabeth would be so proud ;) We finally headed out by 5:15pm. We had to deliver the cake.

We made a quick stop at the liquor store for some

We were officially on the road by about 5:40 and made it to the lake by 9:40. We had to stop for a bit, as Miss Lucy was a bit cranky and needed to stretch. The ride there was fine until we were about an hour away from the resort. Our route became a 2 lane winding road through the mountains in the middle of nowhere in the dark. I was doing the driving as Eric was working on homework. I don't do well at night in familiar surroundings so it was a bit intimidating but we made it safe and sound.

Once we were unpacked and in pj's we settled in. The kids all camped out in the living room.

Us adults got comfy for what would be a long night of cards and beer. I must have in the long harrowing call ride forgotten that I was 1) extremely tired, and 2) not young anymore. 9 beers, a 4am bedtime and a 7am wake up call makes for a not so pretty picture the next morning! It was an experience I look forward to never repeating again in the rest of my life.

The kids headed out to leave corn for the deers.

After we ate breakfast we hung out for a bit and then the kids wanted to hit the lake/beach to swim and play. Getting 14 people packed and out the door is a not an easy task but we managed. We spent an about 2 hours at the lake.

And Lucy loved the sand, much to my surprise!!

After swimming we came back to the house and just hung out. We played some more cards, no beer this time. The kids then wanted to go to the playground so my one girlfriend and I took the 7 older ones.

They played for about an hour before we headed back for dinner. After dinner we got the kids settled in and they watched Camp Rock while us adults played cards some more. We were also attacked by bugs, the amount of them that found their way in was amazing. We had to be quite the scene swatting bugs away as we played.

This morning we woke up, packed up, cleaned up the house and got everyone fed before we hit the road at 11am. We enjoyed ourselves so much. The 2 other couples that we went with are my best friends from before we all had kids. We used to get together all the time but since the kids have came we see each other on birthdays and around Christmas. We have always wanted to get together to just hang out but trying to fit it into our crazy schedules has proven very difficult. It was just like old times which is a good feeling.

Also, change it to something other than just a word. You want a mix of letters, numbers and/or symbols. That makes it more difficult for anyone to hack it. Such as DDA4life

That is what I did. But what concerns me is that if they had my password for email they also had my AOL login. I am wondering what all that would allow them to do!

Robyn, that cake is amazing!!!

Your weekend sounds awesome. What great pictures of the kiddos, especially Lucy smiling in the sand.

9 beers?!! I can't remember the last time I had a taste of alcohol. Someone on the WFD thread posted a picture of her pitcher of sangria and I was salivating! :teeth:

Hey Miss Vicki!

Were you able to find the baby car decal this trip?

Thanks! :)

oo i had a glass of sangria at olive garden tonight--yummy!

I am going to try to go to bed early. I have to teach at 10:00 this week and I have some leftover compositions from last week that I want to finish before I start a new batch of students tomorrow.

Theresa - I hope and pray that you are out of bad luck!

Amy - Pack that bag! ;)

Glynis - If you come on here tonight... :wave2: We have been worried about you. I hope you had a wonderful trip. :goodvibes

Theresa- Sorry to hear about the fire. When it rains it pours. Glad you are all safe.

Vicki- Thanks so much for the update on Glynis! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Amy- Seriously the closet can wait! :goodvibes Cute pics!

Elin- Hope the weird emails stop. You've got my number if you get lost. ;)

Tammi- Hi!

Robyn-I agree on everything...and am now off to find a picture of those sangrias:goodvibes

No, I was not able to find a baby. However, since he will not always be a baby, I did buy you a little boy decal for him. I was afraid that if I didn't get it now, that they might be gone the next trip as well.

Thanks! :goodvibes

The closet is done. :thumbsup2

Besides, the most important thing to take to the hospital is the camera. And my make-up bag...which is packed. ;)

Thanks, and it was so easy to do that horse! I think I'll be doing something similar for Lucy's cake this weekend.

Like I said 9 beers and I were not a pretty sight. I have not had that much alcohol since I can't remember when. I saw that pitcher of sangria and that looks much more my speed.

Rude! :rotfl:

Was it peach? Yum!!!

You know who has awesome sangria? Hooters!!!

Hmm, Eric always says they have the best wings. Maybe I'll have to drag him in there one day.

Awww, thank you very much! But I do hope he stays a baby for a while. I think that's how Kevin talked me into #3 so easily...Matty grew up way too fast for his own good! :goodvibes

I hope he stays a baby for a long time as well. However, I was afraid you'd end up with decals for a family of 4 and then you wouldn't be able to use them at all. They do grow up way too fast.
