We are home and got the 1st bedside tables (the solid cherry). I'll have to get new knobs as the ones in our room are blackish pewter color- not shiny. Chair and ottoman will come Thursday, the 2 tables on April 17th,and the bed May 7th. Yippee!

We dyed 4 dozen eggs :scared1:....what a mess. After I lectured the eggs to tone it down..not to spill..no messes etc etc etc...I dropped blue dye all over my dish washer, my kitchen rug, the wood floor...what a mess!!! Thank god it seems to have come out of everything except my hands...they have all picked out what they believe is the winning egg...we play an easter egg battle game.

Oh No BLUE HANDS!!!!!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao:

Terry- Can I come along on your summer trip?

I cannot wait to see this place in person. The pictures are fantastic.

This would be the kind of place I could see a bunch of us renting for a week. For that time frame it was $1,800 for a week.

Hope all of you are doing well. It has been a crazy few days around here. My car almost got hit the one day as I was driving home from work, with a mattress that flew off the roof of a car.

Today I went up to my Grandma's and helped her get ready for Easter dinner tomorrow. Tomorrow we will be going up there for dinner.

Here are some more Flower and Garden Show Pictures. They are available at http://www.wdw magic.com/epcot_flowerandgarden_festival.htm remove the space between wdw and magic, then cut and paste into your browser. I wish I was going to the Flower and Garden show, but I am not.

I have been to Kennedy Space Center a few times, but not for a few years. My friends Jen and Sam actually got married in the Rocket Garden and had their reception in one of the buildings. Sorry I can not recall which building. It was gorgeous and a neat place for a wedding for two engineers graduating from Embry-Riddle. It is a neat and very informative place and you could spend more then one day there.

Make sure you are checking out the KSC Visitor's Complex site and not off the general NASA website. The Visitor's complex site is much easier to understand IMO. It gives a much more accurate picture of what is there.

Glad you managed to miss the flying matress!!!

Thanks for the great link. The first week of May would be a great time for you to come see the Flower Fest!

I never have anything worth adding to the "What's for Dinner" conversation around here, but Kyle and I just made the most wonderful Penne Alla Vodka, which we threw together based on several recipes to make it what we'd like. I'm stuffed! :cloud9:

Back to Xavier basketball....

Denise your bedroom furniture looks beautiful!

Elizabeth, Marci, & Deb hope you all feel better soon :wizard:

Kristine you really like blue dye :rotfl:

Bernadette love the picture of Emma & the colored eggs :goodvibes

Lindsay glad to hear Jonathan made it home safely.

Jen sounds like you had a great day shopping!

Elin :wizard: for Kristin. I hope she does not stress to much about learning her lines.

Becky glad the mattress did not hit your car

Robyn hope Emma is feeling better :wizard:

Debbie enjoy your weekend with the family!

Jennifer your dinner sounds yummy! We are having pancakes for supper :rotfl:

Amy your mother's cookies sound wonderful, I would love to see pictures as well :thumbsup2

:wizard: & to everyone I missed!

After work I went to the mall to get the oil changed in my truck & had to wait almost 2 hours :headache: At least I was at the mall, so I walked around. After I left there I went to the grocery store. I ran into some friends & they were stocking up on a few groceries. Why? Well they are loading up the camper & heading for Disney tomorrow! Their dd will be participating in the parades. They are staying at Ft. Wilderness. I asked them if I could come along :rotfl:

would this dress be formal enough or not?
edressme_1994_2646229.jpg

i got a HUGE surprise yesterday. i weighed myself and i lost 2 pounds. 6 pounds total since i started at the end of January. being sick and losing shocker helped with about 3 of those pounds :rotfl:

Karen, I think that dress is beautiful -- and very appropriate for formal night!

Bernadette - Good luck with the Space Center plans. Maybe one of these days I will make a plan to venture off of Disney property. Maybe. :rolleyes1

Janet - I love pancakes for dinner! DH grilled turkey burgers. It's always a hard decision the day I go to the grocery store because we have 7 or 8 things to choose from! :rotfl2: By the end of the week we are eating whatever is left in the fridge.

My mom called today to tell me there is something weird on her mammogram so she has to go for a consult with a surgeon on Wednesday. If you all could spare some PD for her that would be great. There is no history of breast cancer in our family at all, but it is still a concern.

Deb, I think you were correct about the sore throat resolving. It isn't quite as sore as it was, but now I have that "tickle" that keeps making me cough. I have some Nyquil but it's the "on the shelf" kind, not the "hidden in the pharmacy" kind so I am not sure it will help.

DS and I watched the Charlie Brown Easter video. Now he is off doing something in his room. DH is supposed to be sleeping but he is watching "The 10 Commandments". He watches it every year. I think his mom used to watch it so he has some sort of sentimental attachment to the movie.

Elin - That is so CUTE! I hope you have a wonderful day in Richmond! :goodvibes

Thanks, Elizabeth. I know we will have fun... I bought a spiral ham, scalloped potatoes, carrots, green beans and salad. We ought to be well-fed, and I ought to know Portia's lines from the last 1/3 of "Merchant of Venice when we get home tomorrow night! :rotfl:

Emma and I were going to meet up with a girl from her class and her mom to see Horton tonight but she has been fighting a cold all week. Last night it turned into a nasty cough and she has done nothing but lounge around all day. So no Horton for us.

I made cupcakes for tomorrow that I need to frost. Eric is on his 2nd dump run today. He managed to get rid of our old dining room furniture and our old grill. I still need to make my way to the bedrooms to put away the piles of laundry. At least it is clean!

Hope Emma gets to feeling better soon. :wizard: Yay for getting rid of stuff!

When I tried to get a quote from Alamo it came back that I was requesting for hours that the facility wasn't open but it wouldn't tell me what the operating hours are. I'll have to try again. It did say something different about drop off giving the impression that you could still drop it off even if they weren't open.

Huh, that's odd. I didn't even know you could use Alamo from there - I thought it was just National. If you're thinking Alamo, maybe look at the Car Care Center, too?

Those pics of Emma were super cute! I'm looking forward to meeting her. :goodvibes

Dadboss had booked a flight on SW out of Midway for Momboss, but he said she would have had to DRIVE to Chicago? Then something else changed and they had her going from Madison to St. Louis to DFW on American. So I'm not sure now what her itinerary is supposed to be. Hopefully she will get back home today. Princess is very excited about Easter, even though she isn't sure WHY she is excited. :rotfl2: She was VERY pleased with the 2 Wiggles DVDs we gave her.

I managed to shower, so now I am headed out for groceries. DH offered to come with me, but I don't think that would help. I'll go by myself and he can help me unload the car when I come back.

In case anyone was wondering, Super Target is closed tomorrow. DH is on a route with one, so he gets to skip that store tomorrow.

Sounds like they're trying to route her through American hubs. I told Jonathan I thought that was the one thing he had going for him - it would behoove American to get their DFW flights off the ground, since they could take a lot of people and route them to their original destinations through DFW. His flight had some kind of "priority" placed on it, and I'm willing to bet that had a huge part in it. There was hardly anyone at the luggage carrousel claiming bags, which leads me to believe it was mostly people trying to make connections.

Yay for DH getting to skip a store! Are a lot of the grocery stores open, too?

I just dropped off my Peg Perego stroller at the consignment shop but I'm thinking I shouldn't have left it there. She told me Peg Peregos don't sell well for her-it is a "high end" consignment-she only takes brand name clothes. Then she told me the Peregos have wheel problems.:confused3 Then she thought the handles were shakey-they adjust to make them taller. She asked me if I was local so I could come get it quickly when she wanted it out of there. I'm thinking I should have just given it to my niece rather than let her put some really low price on it and then only getting 50%. She said she'd email me right away with a price but of course she hasn't:headache:

It looks brand new. It retails for $340 now and I have the $30 rain cover for it too. I'm really disappointed.

How odd - granted, I don't know my baby stuff, but aren't Peg Peregos really high-end strollers? Glad to see she gave you a better quote than you were fearing.

Yikes - glad you are safe!!! Enjoy your Easter tomorrow.

So...are you going to share the recipe?!?

Looks very pretty, Karen. Congrats on the weight loss!

Lots of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for your mom.

Jonathan has this movie on, too. We were just discussing why this is always on Easter weekend. It really has NOTHING to do with Easter. Jonathan said Jesus was celebrating Passover, but I think that is a huge stretch!

We were also reminded of how "cheesy" it really is. :goodvibes

Elizabeth prayers for your mother

I am watching the Ten Commandments as well & yes it was one of my mother's favorites :goodvibes

I am feeling really bummed. We were suppose to leave Monday to go to Ky. for the week. I just spoke with my uncle & he is to ill :sad1: He had triple by pass surgery & is very weak, so I do understand. I am just worried that I will never get to see him again & this makes me very sad.

I swear I feel like I just keep falling deeper & deeper into depression, something has got to give here. One minute I am up, the next I am down, frustrating.

Elin enjoy tomorrow, sounds like you are all set!

Lindsay if I did not have to work tomorrow, trust me I would be seriously thinking of joining them. They have a very large RV & one more person would not make a difference. It will be interesting to hear how much fuel cost them :scared1:
