Well we got through our dinner unscathed. :worship:

Dinner was nice & both moms were fed & happy.

We came home, dyed eggs, & watched Peter Cottontail. The kids just ran upstairs so they will get to bed before the Easter bunny comes.:goodvibes
They were so sweet to each other today it made my heart melt. Sometimes they can be so mean to each other & other times they are angels. Today was an "angel" day so I enjoyed it as much as possible.

God bless all my DDA friends & hope you enjoy your Easter day.:grouphug:

So glad it went well! Sounds like a great day. Many blessings to your family as well.

I think I'm going to start getting ready for bed. Still pretty tired (have no idea why!) and since we're going to try to catch one of our churches early services tomorrow, it will be good to be rested. Parking is always so crazy on Easter Sunday!

I love Tuna noodle casserole! I never get to make it though, I am the only one who will eat it :sad2:

I had a teeny bit of it. Then I fed my begging cat some too:rotfl2:

Any of you watch the Recipe Showdown on The Food Network? I think the one I watched a couple of nights ago was interesting....comfort foods...they all seemed to much work to be comforting:rotfl: But the french onion mac & cheese sounded good.

Elizabeth prayers for your mother

I am watching the Ten Commandments as well & yes it was one of my mother's favorites :goodvibes

I am feeling really bummed. We were suppose to leave Monday to go to Ky. for the week. I just spoke with my uncle & he is to ill :sad1: He had triple by pass surgery & is very weak, so I do understand. I am just worried that I will never get to see him again & this makes me very sad.

I swear I feel like I just keep falling deeper & deeper into depression, something has got to give here. One minute I am up, the next I am down, frustrating.

Janet, I hear ya on that. I am so sick of this winter we have been having. All I want is some time alone away. That is why I am looking forward to the two and half days away in June. What I really want is a trip to Disney but that just will have to wait till the trip in December. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Rees had his IEP for the 2008-09 school year yesterday, and the school ONCE AGAIN is just going overboard to make sure he has EVERY resource possible and whatever he needs. :yay: And his new wheelchair should be here in the next 2 months. It may not arrive in time for our trip. If now, we will just rent one for the week.

I'm glad they are being proactive. Hunter's chair came quickly once it was ordered :wizard: that you have the same luck. Did you end up with the convaid cruiser?

So, we had a minor miracle here last night. I haven't posted it outright (since you never know who else is reading our thread), but Jonathan has been working in Chicago for the last month, and was slated to come home last night. Of course, thanks to Kristine's post and another friend on the DIS, I knew that conditions were really bad, and getting worse.

Amazingly, he did make it out of Chicago last night, and was only about a half-hour late arriving home. :woohoo: He said so many flights around his on the board kept getting cancelled or delayed, but for whatever reason, his flight remained "on time." I'm just so thankful that he's home, and safe. :goodvibes

(So Elizabeth, there is some hope for Momboss!)

I'm glad he made it home safely

I just sent out 80 some resumes right before i left for colorado..I sent to all schools within 45 min from my hosue in all directions! I have 2 interviews set up!

:cool1: :cool1:   Hopefully you'll get even more interviews and a full time job :wizard:

that sounds like a lovely time....I have been around rodeos most of my life...but I still wouldn't be able to tell if the hat is right:rotfl:

We went and spent some of the girls gc's at different spots today and then headed to the zoo. As we were headed out I started feeling rotten...at first I thought it was just a bad IBS episode but I do believe I am SICK.

:wizard: :wizard: I hope you're feeling better before tomorrow:wizard: :wizard:

I love Tuna noodle casserole! I never get to make it though, I am the only one who will eat it :sad2:

I make chicken noodle casserole as that gets eaten here much better than tuna noodle.

I am feeling much better though I'm pretty tired here. We're just waiting for the bunny to come as the kids are pretty restless tonight. We're really looking forward to the treasure hunt tomorrow. I've made the clues and attached map pieces to each clue. Once they find them all they can assemble the maps and find their treasure chests. of course they'll still need to complete a word scramble to find their keys :rotfl:

The prep work is moving along though the dust is horrible. I had to run errands this afternoon and someone opened my bedroom door. Chris was sanding drywall and the dust filled our room. I was so upset when I got home as I have a dust allergy. We had to completely clean our room and wash the bedding (actually we are still doing that). That really put a damper on progress. Once the room was cleaned we wrapped the kids presents in gold paper and loaded the chests. That was actually a good way for me to calm down.

I think I'll try a pair of the Cleo Crocs. The only color is available in my size is touqoise. Not my favorite, but they will be less than $20.

Deb sounds like a great way to prolong the fun tomorrow.

Sounds like you are getting alot accomplished.

So I finally decided to buy the Cleos and my size was gone. It was there 1/2 hour ago, but gone now. I ended up buying a pair of the Pearl Mary Janes. I know that I like that style :goodvibes

If anyone wants the $10 off deal I can forward the email. It is good until the 24th.

Oh, Kristine? I have decided I am coming to Chicago and you and I are going on a field trip! All the other DDAers are invited, too! :)

http://www.allcandyexpo.com/

I just saw this on Food Network. I decided to Google it. It only costs $35 to register! :scared1: And LOOK at all the incredible STUFF! As far as I can tell you can SAY you are a buyer without having to PROVE it. I can say I own vending machines - who are they to argue? :confused3

Anne Marie - Glad your dinner went well!

Jen - Good luck with those interviews!

Lindsay - No clue on the hat. DH's friend who passed away loved cowboy hats, but he is the only person we knew who really wore one.

Deb - Good luck with your Crocs!

Theresa - I hope you feel better soon! Way too much good stuff to eat at Easter for you to be feeling sick! I have caught a couple of the recipe showdowns. They always pick the one I DON'T want to taste. So we haven't made a special trip to Friday's to taste them!:rotfl2:

I'll go to Chicago for a candy feast!!:goodvibes

Girls just went to bed after we watched Narnia and then most of the Original Willy Wonka.

I was on the budget board and sometimes that board is not so budget:rotfl: There are people talking about Easter costing them $200+.....ours cost us under $50 including two new outfits and two dvds. Bless people's ideas of budget.:lmao:

I think I'll try a pair of the Cleo Crocs. The only color is available in my size is touqoise. Not my favorite, but they will be less than $20.

Where are you buying them from?

After work I went to the mall to get the oil changed in my truck & had to wait almost 2 hours :headache: At least I was at the mall, so I walked around. After I left there I went to the grocery store. I ran into some friends & they were stocking up on a few groceries. Why? Well they are loading up the camper & heading for Disney tomorrow! Their dd will be participating in the parades. They are staying at Ft. Wilderness. I asked them if I could come along :rotfl:
Wouldn't that be fun!

i got a HUGE surprise yesterday. i weighed myself and i lost 2 pounds. 6 pounds total since i started at the end of January.
:woohoo: Congratulations!

My mom called today to tell me there is something weird on her mammogram so she has to go for a consult with a surgeon on Wednesday. If you all could spare some PD for her that would be great. There is no history of breast cancer in our family at all, but it is still a concern.
:wizard: Good luck to your mom! DH told me his sister had a bad mammogram and she's already had one breast removed.

Huh, that's odd. I didn't even know you could use Alamo from there - I thought it was just National. If you're thinking Alamo, maybe look at the Car Care Center, too?

Those pics of Emma were super cute! I'm looking forward to meeting her. :goodvibes

How odd - granted, I don't know my baby stuff, but aren't Peg Peregos really high-end strollers? Glad to see she gave you a better quote than you were fearing.
National & Alamo are owned by the same company now.

Emma will probably be pretty quiet when she first meets you but watch out when she warms up to you.

Maybe the customers will like the Peg Peregos better than her? I used the place a few years ago but lately I've been giving all my stuff to my niece. I don't think this woman was the same one from then but she did have my name in her computer.

I am feeling really bummed. We were suppose to leave Monday to go to Ky. for the week. I just spoke with my uncle & he is to ill :sad1: He had triple by pass surgery & is very weak, so I do understand. I am just worried that I will never get to see him again & this makes me very sad.

I have Mon-Sat off & nothing planned now. Maybe the boys & I can go do something & I will probably pop into work & see if I can do anything there. If I had the money I would be on a plane to Disney :rotfl:
Maybe you could start packing.:rotfl: I had Emma try on a bunch of stuff today. We have 7 short & T outfits picked out and a skirt & polo, & a few sun dresses. Now I'll have to cut back while she isn't watching.

He gets to play JR!
How fun!!!!!

I do believe I am SICK.
:wizard: Hope you can get rid of that quick!

Well we got through our dinner unscathed. :worship:

Glad dinner went well and you had an "angel" day. None of that here and they weren't even together very long.

Enjoy the day with your family tomorrow!

April 8 is one of them..and then "sometime in April"

The "sometime in April" one is with a district that I interviewed with last year--and she remembered me!
:woohoo: What great news!!!!:wizard:

I love Tuna noodle casserole! I never get to make it though, I am the only one who will eat it :sad2:
Me too!!!

I am so sick of this winter we have been having.
Me too!

Happy Easter!

Theresa I know a lot of us have been in a funk lately, hopefully all will be better us soon

I am sorry for your uncle....and I understand the funk...I know what mine is and if it doesn't resolve soon I may just break.

I'll be praying for you.
