Youngest DS and I have had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Dan at WDW on several occasions. He truly is a GREAT person!

I love DAN!!!!! He is such a wonderful person and just so caring. He was really there for me when my DS was an infant and very sick. Also, when we were in a very bad car accident he was there for me with well wishes and support. He is a huge asset to the DIS!!

Dan and I banged heads years ago on a political thread! But 'God bless everyone' we settled that long ago. I admire him for his dedication to Disney World and his kindness to so many over the years. He's a nice guy.

I'd vote for a Dan Day. Robo, I'm not so enthusiastic about but that's another story.

I have yet to run into anyone who does not like Dan. I had the pleasure to have lunch with him in the Magic Kingdom last year and he's just as nice in person. He's been spending more time in the Photo and Resort boards these days, but still pops on over here to the CB once in a while. I'm in favor of a Dan Murphy Day on the Dis!

Well, I drove over 4 hours to have dinner w/Dan.

And I used to be on Dan's speed dial. He used to call me to say "hey, what's up?!" And I used to see him on the CB everyday.

I don't see him around here much anymore.

If you don't know him, think of Sully without all the blue fur...that's Dan.

I know I always read whatever it is when I see his name anywhere here on the DIS. Usually find myself smiling by the time I'm done reading it. I must confess I've gone into the monorail pics thread many times, just to take the trip on the MK monorail loop Dan put up there. I get all giddy with anticipation every time when we pull up to the Poly. Some days I really need to ride that monorail!

My kind of funny story about Dan is that we actually saw their paver brick in the walkway when we were making our way from the TTC to the Poly on our last trip. We actually stopped because younger DD noticed her name, Natalie, on a brick. We were actually back several months before Dan posted something about their brick here on the DIS & I smacked myself in the head when I read it -- of course, Murphy! It never even occurred to me that the brick we were looking at was from the very same person I "know" from the DIS!

Dan is the greatest! Back in '01 my sister and I were in Chicago at the time they were having a DIS meet up there. We went and got to meet Dan. He gave me not one, but TWO "Chicago Mickeys". They hold a place of honor in our Disney room and go on trips with us to WDW on our backpack!

I vote yes for a Dan Murphy day on the DIS!
