Robo has just posted a wonderful thread on the Theme Park BB about how great Dan Murphy is and what an asset to the Dis. Got me thinking. Dan Murphy deserve a Dan Murphy Day on the Dis, where people can thank him for his always positive cheery posts. He is always generous with his knowledge and good wishes. Lets let him know he is loved. Hey Tag Fairy how about an extra special tag for Dan???

Dan has always been very friendly and kind to me on the DIS and I have always enjoyed his posts.
He seems like a great guy and a wonderful family man. Gotta love those pics of his cutie grandson! I especially enjoyed the ones where the little one was trying to get his grandma's figurine while she was talking, lol.

Who is Dan?

Right after I started comming to the DIS, I remember a Dan Murphy starting like 20 to 30 new topics on the community board. The topics were all started within minutes of each other and were kinda weird questions.

That's why I remember this name.

Alot of posters were like HUH? I guess it was very out of charachter for him. Other than that I really don't remember seeing his user name much on the Community Board.

Is this the same guy you're all talking about?

Dan is the best!! Back in the days when we DISers tied simple lime green ribbons to our back packs, he was the first one to ever approach me in a park. It was closing in Epcot (11/00) and we were all walking toward the exit, on the bridge between France and UK.

I saw him again at a meet at DL and he gave me a little Chicago Mickey! I just ran across it this weekend in a box of stuff I had moved out of our office!

I miss him around the CB!!

I mostly lurk these days, but way back when (like 1999) when I was planning our first trip to WDW he was so helpful and really made me feel like a part of the group. He also has a great memory and remembers everyone!!!!
