CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 3/16/08-3/22/08

I know we don't like to mix Walgreens talk here, but the flameless candles are a money maker at Walgreens this week. They are on sale for $5.99 and there is a $5 printable coupon. You can send in for a $2 rebate with Walgreens monthly book. So you make $1.01. Limit is 3.

Maggie

Thanks for this! I did bump up the "what are you buying at Walgreens this week" thread too :thumbsup2

I'm not sure what the deal is over the quarterly bucks. Why does everyone expect them to be out now? I imagine that quarterly means every 3 months. So shouldn't quarterly bucks come out after the end of March???

:teacher: (Yes, I teach math.)

Maggie

The CVS Quarter was over 3/16/08. They are now into Spring Spending and that ends 6/16/08. Would make sense if they followed a normal quarter, like most ppl do lol. I was just alittle worried about not getting mine this time because back in the Fall I believe i got them the very next day. But it's official I called the 800 # and they will start printing April 1st.

lol I love Math too...:teacher: (accounting clerk here)

I bought the Listerine Smart Rinse for 2.99 and i also got the rebate form to mail in - but my receipt shows my oop for less than 1.00 - do they look at that or should i just highlight the 2.99 price?

thanx

lisa

Got an email today with links to two coupons:

Save $5 on an 6x8 photo book
http://cvs.p.delivery.net/m/p/cvs/off/offerprocess.asp?mid=1715749679&cid=13869212904&p=0320_photo

Save $3 on Viactiv Flavor glides
http://cvs.p.delivery.net/m/p/cvs/off/offerprocess.asp?mid=1715749679&cid=13869212904&p=0320_viactiv

Does anyone know how much the Viactiv flavor glides are?

I have a "blanket" letter I send with rebates explaining that x amount was in ECB's which is the same thing as money but a store specific money coupon vs. actual cash. I haven't had an issue getting full compensation back from companies with it.

Did you get a CRT for $10 off 24/7?

If yes, here's a great deal for this week only:

24/7 Scrub $15.99
-$5/15
or
-$3/15 Beauty
-$10 CRT
99 cents or $2.99

earn $5 ECBs

Just wanted to report that this is a dream transaction if you got the $10 CRT coupon. Store told me to use both the $5/15 and $3/15, they are non-competing coupons.

$15.99 24/7 Scrub
4.50 (3)Hershey's Reese's Miniatures
$20.49

-10.00 CRT
- 5.00/15
- 3.00/15
- 1.50 mfg. on 3 bags of Hershey's Easter candy

99 cents, no ECBs used, earned $5 ECBs

If anyone gets a CRT that doesn't expire until 3-30, wait and do this that day because you will earn $10 ECBs instead of $5:cool1:

My 10 CRT expired 3/17 do you think they would still take it?

I just came from CVS and no quarterly bucks yet. No kids mouthwash either. It figures the one thing I really want none of the stores around me have. I think we might have to take a little CVS road trip tonight.

No kid mouthwash at my place either. I was there yesterday and I went back today because they get their truck on Weds AM. The mgr aid he has never even seen it before!! They were half done unpacking. We'll see if it shows up. I did finally get my lipsyl that is on the monthly. I like it very much! AND I transfered a Rx and got my $30 gift card. Very fun!!
Well, I went today looking for quite a few items and the mouthwash was one of them. I had been to 3 stores and nobody had it. Found the manager roaming the aisles and he said he hadn't seen it and even went in the back and looked. As I was checking out, I was gong thru my coupons pulling out the ones I didn't use (Russel Stover and smartrinse) and commented that I wished they had the free kids mouthwash and cashier tells me they do have it. And I'm like "no, I just asked the manager and he checked, you don't have it" and she says she has all of it behind the counter and do I want berry or mint and proceeds to pull out dozens of bottles of it. I asked her why it was back there and she had no idea, said that's where they were keeping it. I told her she better clue in the manager cause he had no idea.

So my transactions are too lengthy to list but I'll try to do a summary.

Trip one:
2 coke 12 packs
2 glade sprays
2 dove shampoos
1 dove lotion
1 dove body wash
5 24/7 deodorant
1 viva 8 pk
1 bic soleil
1 bic soleil refill
2 smartrinse

I had a coupon for every item except the coke. It was $53ish before ECBs but after coupons. After $40 in ECBs it came to $10.31 which I paid out of pocket.

I drove off and realized that the dove shampoo didn't ring up bogo and didn't credit me for the buy$15 get $5 ECBS so I had just paid $10.58 for 2 bottles of shampoo(well, not really after coupons, etc but still!). So, I stopped at the next CVS in my path and returned the shampoo for more than my last transaction...I got back like $11.31 or something. Then I bought the correct 2 dove shampoos with another coupon and paid $2.34 out of pocket and this time it did generate the ECBs. All in all, my net out of pocket for the day was $1.61 and I'm down $15 in ECBS....started with $40 this morning and now I have $25 in ECBs, but I also have all the stuff I listed above so I think this was a great CVS day!

Sorry it's so complicated, just thought I'd throw my experience out there in case it helps somebody.

Toothpaste for size comparison. They are by the Ben Gay stuff and are in a little cardboard holder:

I found these hanging on a plastic strip, with the stupid tabs where if you try to put it back everything falls, in the same aisle as, but far away from, the other patches.

Yes Poly, in Bristol- they had lots!!:goodvibes

It won't scan, but the store might push it through - ask them.

Thanks for those good vibes . . . Tote bags, tote bags, I'm so happy that Hamden and Cheshire are finally like Bristol and Minnesota (Hi LJ) -- It's fun to be part of the club!

I was inspired by a previous poster who had written that they did an entire transaction without buying a single thing that generated ECBs, and I needed milk anyway, so here's mine (seems like I've turned to the darkside as many items were not even on sale:scared1:):

1 Smartfood popcorn, $2.49 (regular price, but oh so yummy)
2 Gallons Garelick Skim Milks $3.79*2 (regular price)
1 Dunkin Donuts Coffee, $5.99 on sale --figured DH would enjoy
1 Charleston Chew candybar (regular price, also oh so yummy)
1 Tote, $1.49 on sale (best we've got here is 50%off)
Less $5/$15 CVS ()
Less $1 tote accessory coupon from previous tote purchase ()
Less $12 ECB
oop = $0.34 and absolutely no ECBs printed out. But, alas no CRTs either.

Hi!
I don't have the monthly book and I looked in the ad and on the first post and can't find my answer so could someone please help me out. How many glade spray deals can you do get with the $1.00ECB back? I did one deal but the bottom of my receit does not say limit reached. And how many of the Glade flamless candles can you buy and get a $2.00 ECB. I promise this is my last question and you people have been the Best, how many pain ppatches can you get and how many ECB's do you get back? I lost my monthly book and these all must be monthly deals. I am newbie to all of this but am starting to catch on.
Thanks,
PammyPoppins

It's 5 on Glade, so that would be 10 cans. I wonder why it says it's reached for you? Mine doesn't (I bought 2 cans, received $1).

It's limit 5 for all the items you asked about. You get $2 back on each pain patch.

Thank-You so much for the reply. It says the limit is not reached but I did not know how many I could get. Thanks for the great information, now I can go back to CVS.

HOw many photos does the Photo book hold?

Thanks! The only thing I like better than Playskool totes is photo books!

$12.99 photo book
- 5.00 coupon
- $2/10 CVS Brand CRT
- $3 earned ECB (March monthly)

= $2.99 photo book YAY!!:cheer2:

Well, this was a first for me today......I had 2 items (Embrace razor and Soliel blades). I had one manufacturers coupons for each item. I hand over 3 seperate ECB slips to pay and the cashier says "I'll tell you right now, you aren't going to be able to use 3 of these for only 2 items, the system won't accept it." So I say "I thought these are supposed to be the same as cash?" So she says "Well, I'll try to scan all 3 of them but it's not going to work." Needless to say, the register accepted the 3 ECB slips. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Note to self: Avoid that cashier at all costs next time. :rotfl:

I read that this use to be the case but that corporate CVS "fixed" the problem. So she was probably talking from previous experience. She just learned something new. ;)

Sorry I misread that - glad you can go get more. I only had one coupon, but I've been buying Oust at Walgreens this week so I don't really need any.

HOw many photos does the Photo book hold?

I want to say 52, but they would be really small. I try to keep mine at 28 (usually 2 or 3 per page)
