CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 3/16/08-3/22/08

:) Thanks for all the help with CVS! I went today and got 3 dove shampoo and 3 dove conditioner. I used $5/$15, 3 of the $3 off dove coupons and paid 1.89, got back $5 ecb's! And I left with $32 worth of shampoo/conditioner. It helped that the store (Fallston) I went to had slightly higher prices for the shampoo/conditioner. Some was $4.99 a bottle and the pro-age was & 5.29 a bottle. So, I only had to get the three sets to do the Dove deal.

Question:
I noticed some others from Harford Cty, Md. Have any been to the Edgewood CVS? They told me they would not take the internet bricks coupons. Thanks for any input!

Hey! We're in Bel Air. I haven't been to the Fallston store but the ones in Forest Hill and Bel Air (24 hour store) both take the internet coupons.

Howdy neighbor. :yay:

I stopped by CVS on my way to work this morning. Here is my order:

$2.50 Dove Nutrium Bar soap 2 pk.
$3.99 Dove Cream Oil Body Wash
$3.99 Dove Cream Oil Body Wash
$4.99 Dove Moisture Shampoo
$0 Dove Moisture Conditioner (BOGOF)
.99 Glade Spray Clean Linen
.99 Glade Spray Clean Linen
.99 Glade Spray Powder Fresh
.99 Glade Spray Powder Fresh
$6.49 Viva Paper Towel 8 pk
$1.49 EOB Bobby Pins (for Easter Basket) (50% off)
-$2 Dove Cream Oil Body Wash Printable coupon
-$2 Dove Cream Oil Body Wash Printable coupon
-$3 off 2 Dove Shampoo
-$1 off 2 Glade Spray Printable coupon
-.99 Glade Spray BOGOF coupon
-.50 Viva paper towel printable coupon
-$2 ECB
-$15 ECB
Subtotal .92
Tax .78
Total 1.70

I got back $5 ECB for the Dove, $2 ECB for the Glade Sprays, and $1 ECB for the Viva paper towels.

I know I sunk a few ECB into this order. But my dad REALLY likes the Viva Paper towels. So I try to get those whenever there is an ECB deal even though it wasn't the greatest deal.

Mine didn’t work last night. I had 17 items (8 of these .50 cent candy which I had by 2 get 2 coupons for) and 7 coupons and it stopped accepting coupons. I still had a $5 Glade coupon and a 4 off 20. (The email switch one) I was using my aunt’s card and have never used this before on it. I also still had $22 ECB and it wouldn’t take them either!! By now the line was huge behind me. My bill ended up being $35, she gave me a CVS gift card with $10(??) and I received $23 in ECB. Then she rang up the mop I needed and I used the ecbs for it, leaving me a $5 one.
I thought I could have one coupon per item. But I think the whole system was messed up. It took forever to ring up the original 8 as well. have no clue why she gave me a $10 gift card. Either she gave me an extra $1, or the $4 embrace coupon didn’t work either. I would have to look at the receipt again.

This was a brand new store. It just opened last weekend. Originally I had planned to use the $10 of 20 coupon I had received in the mail (only for this store), but I gave it to DH after I discovered they had an Embrace!! So he got that, a lipstick, and some glade. So he took the 10 of 20 since the 4 off 20 had my aunt’s name on it. Now I have a like $45 ECB to use, but I have till April.
This store is about 20 minutes away. I wouldn’t go there normally. It’s a very large store and set up weird. The crappy thing is that for some reason the photo machine wouldn’t read our card and I have a free 25 print coupons available, but only at this store. The pictures came up find on the card on our home computer. I am debating where to go back to this one just for that reason.
They did have 2 of the Life Fitness Patches. And I found 2 Embraces there. I have yet to find the lib balm and the baby bags.

I think something was really messed up there because mfg. coupons never counted - so even if they've changed the register system regarding the number of items vs. CVS coupons, it shouldn't have mattered.

I have had major trouble with a set of coupons from CVS that were mailed to me by them and also with a $2/10 that was available in the store. What happened with them was that once they were used, it wouldn't take ECBs or anything greater than the amount of that coupon after it was scanned. The trick for those is to give them last - most of these were $3/15 so you had to watch the screen and when you were down to $3-something, you gave them that coupon and it still worked.

I know this doesn't explain what happened to you though. I'm hoping it was just because it was a new store.

Where are you getting the $5 glade coupon? I have a $3 MQ but have not seen a $5 one.

Yesterday while standing in line at CVS to turn in prescription a young woman behind me told her DS to go look in the next aisle over for a clear bag with red handles for her. I knew she was one of us. When I asked her she says she posts sometime but mostly lurkes. So if you are lurking now, Hi it was nice to meet you. :wave2: I have also met a lady from HCW at CVS in the week I have been here in MD.

Thanks! Now I know what to look for.

I got a coupon emailed to me today for a free CVS brand hand sanitizer. I wish I could link it, but it has my name on it and says it's only good for the person it was sent to.

I tried to se this but the system would not take it.

I am going to try getting the coppertone using the 3 off 15 coupon and also try to use and expired ECB with it. Hopefully my plan will work---if not oh well--I need the sunscreen for my WDW trip in May.

Just wanted to report that this is a dream transaction if you got the $10 CRT coupon. Store told me to use both the $5/15 and $3/15, they are non-competing coupons.

$15.99 24/7 Scrub
4.50 (3)Hershey's Reese's Miniatures
$20.49

-10.00 CRT
- 5.00/15
- 3.00/15
- 1.50 mfg. on 3 bags of Hershey's Easter candy

99 cents, no ECBs used, earned $5 ECBs

If anyone gets a CRT that doesn't expire until 3-30, wait and do this that day because you will earn $10 ECBs instead of $5:cool1:

:confused3

The registers are giving CRT coupons for $10 off a 24/7 skin product (not everyone gets one). This week you get $5 ECBs for any purchase of 24/7. The lowest priced product is a scrub for $15.99.

The week of March 30th the sale is $10 ECB for any 24/7 product, plus the $5/15 and $3/15 beauty coupons are still good at that time.

Some people might get a CRT that doesn't expire until March 30th (or later), so they should save their coupon and use it for that sale because it's $10 ECBs instead of $5 ECBs. That didn't work for me because mine expired on 3-23-08.

It's a money-maker deal because of the $/$$ coupon that can be used with it and the ECBs earned.

Oh i hope i get the crt for the 24/7 as my mom wants to try that stuff!

I'm debating if i should go and make yet another CVS run - i just got coupons my mom mailed me.

(2) 2.00 off Bic Solei
and lots of coupons for the Dove!

also another Glade bogo coupon and the 1.00 off of two printout.......

i know this has been asked but for the Dove, the shampoo is bogo so does the "free" one count towards the 15.00 purchase? I have a 3.00 coupon off 2 shampoo's plus i have a bunch of 2.00 and 1.00 coupons off other Dove stuff. Is any Dove products excluded?

thanx

The free one doesn't count.

In general, If its a CVS BOGOF, it won't count towards the ECB deals. If you have a BOGOF coupon, then it will count.

I'm so annoyed, mostly at myself. I stopped at the grocery store on my way home this evening. I used the restroom. I came out to wash my hands and set my coupon box on the edge of the other sink. There were NO paper towels, so I had to go back in a stall and get some TP to dry my hands. As I come out of the stall, I see the box falling.....

Yes, you guessed it, they ALL came out! All my hard work!!!

There are some clumps that are still in order and didn't spill totally....but now I have to go through everything and make sure it's in order! ARGH!

My 2nd worst nightmare! I put a headband thingy around mine because it happened to me too. I thought you were going to say you left it in the bathroom! I wrote my name and phone number all over mine because leaving it somewhere is my 1st worst nightmare.

Is any Dove products excluded?

Scan the items, if they ring up at the prices in the ad they are included. Some of the bonus packs from January are ringing up for a few cents less and they won't count, but if they ring up at $3.49 for the deodorant and $6.99 for the lotion, they count. Some other products are on clearance and aren't marked everywhere, so I would scan everything.

If you have a magazine coupon for $1.50 off a creamy oil lotion, it will only scan for that exact product, but people are saying that the $2 online coupon for creamy oil body wash includes other body washes.

Ok, I've just gone and got a hair scrunchy and put around it!!! I wish I'd done that before now! Thanks for the idea!!!!

Got the e-mail with the $5 off photo book coupon and free CVS hand sanitizer (but mine required 1 $10 purchase, which is fine, good excuse to purchase enough to use the $5/$15), so thought I'd do a little run after dropping 1 kid off at a friend's house the other at dance:

2 Life Fitness Patches, $1.99 each (1st time finding these, they were hung up in a completely different aisle than the Life Fitness vitamins or the BenGay)
1 Listerine Smart Rinse, $2.99 (I can never get printables to work when you have to download printing software, I like when someone posts the pdf instead; oh well, still free after ECB)
1 Crest Pro Health, $3.99 (don't need more toothpaste, but I needed to get order over $15 and had a free toothpaste coupon from a previous mail-in promotion)
1 Smartfood Popcorn - YUM - not on sale, no coupon, $2.49
1 CVS Hand sanitizer 0.17 oz, $1.79
1 Playtex Tote bag, $1.49 (this is my 4th, I buy 1 @ a time to use the $1 accessory coupon)
Total was nearly $17
Less $5/$15
Less $3.99 Crest Pro Health man.coupon
Less $3 Life Fitness CRT
Less $1.79 CVS e-mailed coupon for sanitizer
Less $1 Playtex access. man.coupon in previously-purchased tote
Total came to $1.97 and cashier rounded down so I could use a $1.95 ECB
(was getting ready to grab a candybar when she said it wasn't necessary)
OOP = $0.00 (after $1.95 ECB), got back $4ECB(LF patches)+$2.99 (Listerine)

My only problem is that we have no scanners here! Thanx for the info.

Oh my gosh, I thought you were going to say it fell into the toilet or sink :scared1: Ugh, I totally understand your unhappiness having to reorganize it -- mine has on more than one occasion spilled out inside my bag and onto the car floor.
