"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Question for those who have attended parties this year (sorry if this has already been covered, I couldn't find an answer): do the trick-or-treat trail stations close promptly at 12, or do they remain open for a while after 12? I prefer to hold out as long as possible before taking on the candy weight, but don't want to miss out completely!

I haven’t tried it, but I would imagine it’s like the ride lines…if you’re in a line at midnight, they let you finish thru that trail. But I don’t think they will let you in a new line after midnight.

Trick or treating near the end also has the advantage that CM’s want to get rid of the candy in their bins. I’ve had my bag overstuffed more than once! lol

What astonished me Monday night during the deluge were the masses of people who had no rain gear at all.

But to be fair, once you are soaked why bother putting on rain gear. If you're on an uncovered outdoor ride when the skies open, you are coming off dripping. Not really a point to putting on a poncho after that.

Per the rain, it’s just water, I’m not going to melt. DH and I both detest umbrellas, and have a bad track record for both remembering to bring ponchos and then being willing to put them on. They flap around in any kind of wind and tend to annoy us, although not as much as umbrellas, so we often just get wet. We’ll dry. No biggie.

Then again, we don’t wear or bring much to the parks that would get damaged in the wet, even on Halloween party nights. A ziplock to keep candy dry is about the most adverse weather planning we usually bother with.

We will have ponchos with us, but they will kind of ruin our costumes.

If it's super rainy, we will switch gears and concentrate on trying the party food where we can sit inside, and then ride Small World over and over if we have to.

Hoping for decent weather for my party on the 21st. One good thing is that an umbrella is actually a big part of my costume so at least I'll have that covered.

I went into the Guest Services at HS this morning and was offered these options after the CM scanned my magic band

Thank you! I was wondering if anyone had gotten any compensation. We haven’t been in the parks yesterday or today but we’re going to MK tomorrow. Guess it’s worth stopping in. We’re APs so don’t need a ticket & we’re kind of over the parties, but a gift card would be good.

We were at the party on Sunday night. The rain did stop around 11:30. We ended up going on a few rides and candy stops that last half hour. So disappointing on the parades, shows and fireworks. We felt the first few rain drops and I saw the rain coming and we ran into the restaurant and watched the fireworks through the window. We stopped at guest relations on our way out and the line was hours long so we left but a guest relations manager told us to stop by guest services on Monday so we did. We are passholders as well so took the $75 gift card. I was hoping to be able to come back to a party but the only thing that worked out was in October and I didn't want to pay another $75 for the higher ticket. I still had a great time but have been to numerous parties, but my friend had never been and she missed everything. We attempted the 1st parade but the best parts were missing and it was slow going. Maybe next year.

I'm glad to know Disney does offer compensation if the party is a majority wash-out.

Is it though if you typically go during hurricane season? There's a reason why it's one of the few remaining slow seasons Disney World actually experiences and the prices reflect that. June through September are the wettest of the year (and hottest and muggiest).

Great graphics! Saving these for future use. We went last year late September ... our trip ended up sandwiched between two hurricanes, but thankfully no rain during MNSSHP. Then in March, great weather overall but massive downpours during our HS After Hours ... Now trying mid-Oct ... right where all of your bands "cross" into more level territory ...

Stopped by guest services at MK on my way into the park this morning. Got a $75 gift card compensation for Sunday MNNSHP. Very easy. I was offered rebooking another Halloween party, park hopper upgrade (I already have AP) or the gift card. It was very easy and CM couldn’t have been nicer.

Is there ever an opportunity for same day ticket purchases for the party on sold out dates?

I've read very sporadic reports of it, but I would not count on it.

YES - absolutely. I’ve had success every time - the latest was for the Sept 5th sold out party. I went to Guest Svcs about 8 times over 2 days and got one on Sept 2. However - please note that I travel solo and only need 1 ticket.

My husband & I were at tonight’s party. We started seeing lightning about 9:15, but no rain. We had no interest in the fireworks & we’re making our way from tomorrowland as the fireworks were about half done. As we left the Tomorrowland terrace area, it started to drizzle. It started raining big drops by the time we were at the end of main street. Came down hard as we got to the monorail station. And then, the torrential rains started. We’re sitting on the monorail at Contemporary right now. We were held at MK for about 10 minutes after we boarded & now being held at CR. They have no timeline for when we can continue. The CM announced if anyone wants to get off, use the rest room or get a drink, we’ll still be here. Also if we want to get off & get a ride share. Said they’re working on getting busses but they have no idea how long that will take or when the monorail can resume. I’m just glad we actually got out of the park & have a seat in the monorail.

We left the park about the same time, we got on the monorail…but we were very unlucky in so far as we gave up our monorail seat to go to the bus, and before we left the station, the announcement came on that the monorails would resume.

We should have just gotten in line, but no, we thought the bus to Poly might be better. Well, it wasn’t. So, we went though security again, ( I use an ECV, AND THE Poly bus line already had a few ECVs in it.) and this time we got in the ferry line, and we arrived to our room around midnight!

DCL collected our luggage at 6:45 the next morning. We were very tired on Monday, but it’s been a great Wish Halloween cruise!

We stopped in Guest Services in MK @8:55 yesterday morning, no line. Saw a CM immediately, she said they normally offer the 1 day park hopper, but she didn’t think we’d want that, since we have APs. She offered the $75 per person gift card which we were happy to accept. She put both of ours on 1 card.
