Yay Me! I finally got the hang of this!

I went to another CVS, and shopped... and apparently I learned that there is a limit to how many coupons you can use in one transaction. I was able to use 11 coupons before it stopped me. I was going to have another really low OOP again... but the register stopped taking my ECBs... It kept flashing the cashier that I was only allowed to use ECBs $4 and under. So in other words my $8.59 ECB would not go through. Even the Manager could not over ride it. The manager offered to split my transaction, but I thanked her for her trouble and told her it was fine... and I paid the $26.40 OOP. Bummer because I had over $20 in ECBs but their amounts were higher than $4 and just would not go through on the register. I did end up saving $22.03 on that transaction... I could have been a $40 plus savings... but I learned an important lesson... Split those transactions! lol Now I have over $40 in ECBs! woohoo!

I thought there was no limit on ECB's? since they are supposed to be like cash? anyone

Thanks is what I said to the cashier, and manager... and they said that is correct. This is why teh manager was trying to over ride the register. It appears that the register would not allow her to do so. The manager was puzzled too.

Can you do the Russell Stover deal more than once? Does the BOGO coupon mean you can just pay for one and get the $3 in ECBs?

I don't know why I didn't notice this one before!

There is a limit of 5 on this deal. With the BOGO coupon you pay .29 cents for 2 bags and get $3.00 in ECB back.

I stopped in at a store to get one Dove Body Wash to finish up my Dove deal (and my mom wanted Dove body wash for her Easter basket). I went to the Lypsyl aisle just to see. The girl was putting out a BRAND NEW BOX OF THEM! Woohoo! I grabbed the 4 that I needed on that card and went to check out. Only got $5.98 ECB. Dammit. I think I must've already gotten 3 on that card instead of just the 1 that I had written on my note card. Need to go through my stash and count the Lypsyl. Not sure whether or not I will take it back.

Great last minute deal for this week if you have the coupons:

14.97 3 Children's Benadryl (on sale this week for $4.99)
(plus any free after ECB item or small filler)

-5.00 $5/15
-5.00 mfg. coupon (was for three Children's Tylenol/Benadryl/etc.)
-1.00 CRT for Benadryl (if you have it)

earn $3 ECB

I bought the strips and the measuring spoon types because they are convenient to bring somewhere or keep in my purse, it's kind of a splurge, but $1 for three after ECB is an incredible deal.

How can everyone tell that the Listerine Smart Rinse is for kids? I just assumed it was by the way it looks. DBf disagrees- he points to the fact that it does not say "kids" anywhere on it. He likes it. So, anyone know for sure?
:confused3

I think the Berry flavor is more appealing to kids but on the back it says ages 6 and up!

I just assumed it was, but he's right, it does not say for kids anywhere on it - smart marketing!

I'm going to use the smart rinse myself once my current bottle of mouthwash is empty! The "regular" stuff makes my mouth feel too tingly. It'll be a little weird not having the minty taste when I use the berry kind though.

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the replies. I hate when he is right and I'm wrong:headache:

By the way, where did you go to eat? If you don't mind saying...
(I hope I did this quote right, it is my first time trying this)

We ate at Enotria's in forest hill. It was good until my daughter (2yo) was up half the night with a bad stomach, which she now calls -- big burps.

Although, I did wonder whether CVS would have anything to help her bad stomach. :rotfl2:

Just wanted to thank both stitchlovestink and clarabellecowfan for all the awesome local CVS advice. You have been a great help, this is so much fun!

I'm curious how long CVS has been doing their ECB program?
I was never a big CVS shopper, but stopped in on occasion and I'm sure I threw away many a receipt with one attached. lol

Quite some time....I've been posting these threads for over a year now :scared1:

It was only a little over a year ago when people had to wait for 48 hours after a purchase for an ECB to print, then some of the weekly deals started printing right away, but not all, and the monthly deals printed 2 days later.

It was really weird and hard to remember and you'd pretty much have to go back in and buy things to see if you got your ECBs.

Forgot to say that I never got any ECBs or didn't know how to get them or never knew what to buy.
