Could this be our last trip to the World for awhile...Final Plans 9/11

Everyone's trips are getting so close! I leave this time next week!!!! I'm so sad that I will miss you Kathy! I'll be at the Orlando airport for about 1 1/2 hours next Wednesday.. :)

Jill, I'm equally sad that we will miss you. Hopefully one day I the not too distant future.

Cynthia, I would be freaking out if I had a work trip this close to leaving on vacation!! Congrats on the upgrade!

Jill in CO

I would be too! Just thinking of having to do laundry before I packed...UGH.

Whoo Hoo single digits!! :cool1:  :dance3: :jumping1:

One week from tomorrow we will be at our happy place.

Well, I wanted to post what we think are our final plans now because I am determined to finish my Girls TR from June by Monday, if not sooner. I hope to do part of the final updates tomorrow if work allows me and then on Monday. Saturday will be spent cleaning the entire house while Mark is umpping Fall baseball and then Sunday we are going to Milwaukee to go to the zoo and have lunch with some dear DIS friends (although they are very rarely on the DIS anymore)...we try to go to Milwaukee once a year to see them.

So here are our final plans...subject to change, of course. :lmao::lmao::lmao: If we have not talked and you plan on being at the World as the same time as us, please stop us and say hello.

Friday, September 19 -- Arrive Orlando around 2:10 p.m.; pick up rental car and check in at resort. Room, hopefully by this time will be ready and we will dump luggage, have Garden Grocer order delivered and grab a bite to eat at Mara. Then we will head to the Studios for our AP's and then meet Cynthia and Jeff (eandesmom) at the Tune Lounge and hopefully the rain will stay away and we will be watching the Frozen Fireworks.

Saturday,, September 20 -- Breakfast at Kona in the morning; pool until about 3:30; dinner at Olivia's and then go to Magic Kingdom where they have EMH's until 1 a.m. (FP+ selected for Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder and Mine Train)

Sunday, September 21 -- Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare (new for us); then to DTD to do some shopping and then back to the pool. We will head to Epcot around 4 p.m. for our FP+ and our dinner at Rose & Crown (FP+ selected for Soarin', Spaceship Earth and Mission: Space). We are also hoping to run into another DISer, Judy and her family (her girls are performing at House of Blues this Saturday).

Monday, September 22 -- Breakfast in the room and pack the car; drive to the Studios where we will be having a DIS meet that I've been waiting for years for...we will be meeting that's nice (Tim) and his beautiful family.. We have 3 FP+ selected that we will do with them...Toy Story, Tower of Terror and Star Tours. Right before our FP+ for Star Tours, Wendy (teekathepony) and Johnny will be meeting us and we will all ride together. I am sure that Mark, Tim and Juliana will be hitting up Rock & Roll Roller Coaster. I will stay with the littles if Mel (TIm's wife) and Tim's mom want to go too. I am sure we will do some Frozen stuff.

Then we will drive to the Beach Club for our ADR at 3:00 (actually, we may just go to the Boardwalk and park there since we will be going back there after our ADR to check in for the next four nights and just walk to the Beach Club...it will depend on time). After checking into the Boardwalk, we will probably just hang at the pool and possibly eat on the Boardwalk or just grab food at the pool.

Tuesday, September 23 -- we are meeting Tim and family for a mega group breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8 a.m. Yes, my favorite time...an empty Main Street. We then have FP+ for Anna and Elsa, Buzz and Mine Train which we will do with them. At this point, Tim says they probably aren't going to do the Halloween Party. Therefore, I made an ADR this morning for Be Our Guest when I saw it pop up. I wanted Kona but there was nothing available until very late. Tim said that perhaps we could meet them at BLT where they are staying at watch Hallowishes from there with them.

Wednesday, September 24 -- We will have breakfast in the room and then head to the Animal Kingdom where we are doing the Backstage Safari. After our safari, we will go to Flame Tree for lunch and then do our FP+ for Festival of the Lion King, EE and Finding Nemo (I will do a walk on for Dinosaur). We will then go to the pool for a bit perhaps and then head to Epcot to experience our first Food & Wine by grazing.

Thursday, September 25 -- breakfast in the room and then head to the Magic Kingdom for Extra Magic Hours. We have FP+ for Be Our Guest for Lunch and then FP+ for Pooh, Big Thunder and Splash Mountain. We will then head to Epcot and spend our time in World Showcase and hae dinner at Nine Dragons (again new for us)

Friday, September 26 -- breakfast at 7:30 at Whispering Canyon Café (I still couldn't get Cinderella's Royal Table which I wanted to try) and then head to MK where we have FP+ for Buzz Haunted Mansion and Pirates. We have lunch at p.m. and then will pass out a balloon to a child in memory of my dad and then start our drive to Marco Island for nine days. Nicki and I talked last night and will be talking tomorrow and we have most of our plans decided of where we are eating, etc.

We did cancel our one signature meal. If Mark's severance check comes before we leave (final paperwork was signed late last week), we will try to rebook it.

So that's it.

Thanks for joining and I hope you'll all join the TR when we get back. I'm sure we will have lots of great photos to share of DIS meets and adorable kids (yes, Tim, your kids are adorable...they all take after your lovely wife).

Hi Kathy,

I've never posted on one of your trip reports, but I keep seeing you around the Dis and thought I'd say hi. :) We will be at the YC from Sept 24th to 28th. We plan to spend some time at F&W on Wednesday and Thursday evening, then hit MK on Friday, Sept 26th. We are going to try and make rope drop, a few morning fp's, lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, and then out of there after lunch.

Maybe we'll see you around. :goodvibes

Lovin' seeing all of the plans laid out in one post. It sounds like this trip is going to be filled with lots of fun and full of Dis meets. :thumbsup2 I wish that I were doing some shopping at DTD right now. I told John yesterday that I need to go back before Christmas because I need another set of Christmas ornaments. Yeah, like that's the only reason that I need to go back. :rotfl:

I hope we do.

Sounds like a great trip! We will be in MK on Sept 25th as well hoping to make rope drop for EMH.

I hope you do; you get so much done at rope drop.

Have a safe and wonderful trip!

You too; and please stop me if you see me, Jen.

This time next week you and Mark will be leaving on a jet plane (hopefully almost landing to hop the fake monorail)

Woo single digits!! :banana::banana:

Your final plans look great! I hope that the weather behaves for you, but I'm sure you will enjoy yourselves either way :) I can't wait to read the TR when you get back!

I cannot wait! I know I was just there in June, but it seems like forever ago.

Woo single digits!! :banana::banana:

Thanks, Krysten.

I hope so too; but even if it rains, we will be at Disney and I will be happy!

I just cancelled Whispering Canyon for breakfast; Mark wants to try Grand Floridian Café after Brenda's (emmysmommy) stellar review He had me cancel Nine Dragons after I shared the F&W menus with him. And he had me cancel Be Our Guest for dinner because he said we were doing lunch. Instead he had me book Liberty Tree Tavern for a very late lunch because he really likes that place.

Don't be surprised if there are more changes in the TR. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Just catching up again. And I just wanted to say - great final plans when I read your changes! Sounds so familiar.
But you have a great trip coming up! Cannot wait to read about it. :thumbsup2

I know you are so excited! I can't wait to hear what you think of the BW! We have not stayed there but love the lobby.

Kathy,

I am so excited for you! I hope you enjoy every single moment of this trip and it is the best one ever. :) After the year you've had, you both deserve it, and so much more.

Your plans look fantastic even if they keep changing! Have a great weekend and if I don't realm to you before I leave, have a wonderful trip!

:thumbsup2 for changes! LOVE GF cafe, mostly because it is more serene. And YUMMY food!!

I can't believe I somehow missed your entire PTR! Ive read it all now and I'm sure you're extra excited with less than a week left.

I'm so excited you guys are doing the Backstage Safari. I did it last September and got to go in the elephant barn and feed a black Rhino in their barn! :goodvibes I think you guys will really love it.

Of course final plans are always subject to change! :rotfl2: I mean, we need some flexibility, right?

Plans look great! I love breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, it's always been my favorite. They have the strawberry soup, which I love.

I'm excited to see how you feel about Nine Dragons. I haven't eaten there in quite some time. And not because I don't think I'll enjoy it, it's just there are other things that always get selected instead.

Cynthia, I would be freaking out if I had a work trip this close to leaving on vacation!! Congrats on the upgrade! Jill in CO

No upgrade on the flight home but at least I was able to get on an earlier flight. Which is good as I needed that extra sleep to deal with the temporary panic induced by realizing my debit card was missing.

I would be too! Just thinking of having to do laundry before I packed...UGH. One week from tomorrow we will be at our happy place.

Ugh on laundry is right, I have so much to do and am so grateful another parent offered to do pickup from Eric's weekend scouting event. A 2 hour round trip wasn't fitting well into my plans for tomorrow :)

Plans look good!

Our forecast is starting to improve :)
