Could this be our last trip to the World for awhile...Final Plans 9/11

Ugh! Hope you find/found your debit card!

Jill in CO

Love all the plans and jealous as all get out.

Love the changes and the GF cafe was great for dinner but I hope it as good for breakfast. Sounds like Mark is letting the GF grow on him. ;)

Sunday we are going to Milwaukee to go to the zoo and have lunch with some dear DIS friends (although they are very rarely on the DIS anymore)...we try to go to Milwaukee once a year to see them.
Tell them I said hi. :wave2:

Saturday,, September 20 -- Breakfast at Kona in the morning; pool until about 3:30; dinner at Olivia's and then go to Magic Kingdom where they have EMH's until 1 a.m. (FP+ selected for Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder and Mine Train)
Wonder what the Poly is gonna look like?

Sunday, September 21 -- Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare (new for us); then to DTD to do some shopping and then back to the pool. We will head to Epcot around 4 p.m. for our FP+ and our dinner at Rose & Crown (FP+ selected for Soarin', Spaceship Earth and Mission: Space). We are also hoping to run into another DISer, Judy and her family (her girls are performing at House of Blues this Saturday).
We were going to head tO Epcot too, but this is our only chance o catch the Frozen fireworks. :coffee:

Monday, September 22 -- Breakfast in the room and pack the car; drive to the Studios where we will be having a DIS meet that I've been waiting for years for...we will be meeting that's nice (Tim) and his beautiful family.. We have 3 FP+ selected that we will do with them...Toy Story, Tower of Terror and Star Tours. Right before our FP+ for Star Tours, Wendy (teekathepony) and Johnny will be meeting us and we will all ride together. I am sure that Mark, Tim and Juliana will be hitting up Rock & Roll Roller Coaster. I will stay with the littles if Mel (TIm's wife) and Tim's mom want to go too. I am sure we will do some Frozen stuff.
Mel's mom is the one who is coming…. (just so you know ;) )

Did you just call me beautiful?

Tuesday, September 23 -- we are meeting Tim and family for a mega group breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8 a.m. Yes, my favorite time...an empty Main Street. We then have FP+ for Anna and Elsa, Buzz and Mine Train which we will do with them. At this point, Tim says they probably aren't going to do the Halloween Party. Therefore, I made an ADR this morning for Be Our Guest when I saw it pop up. I wanted Kona but there was nothing available until very late. Tim said that perhaps we could meet them at BLT where they are staying at watch Hallowishes from there with them.
Sounds like a plan!

Wednesday, September 24 -- We will have breakfast in the room and then head to the Animal Kingdom where we are doing the Backstage Safari. After our safari, we will go to Flame Tree for lunch and then do our FP+ for Festival of the Lion King, EE and Finding Nemo (I will do a walk on for Dinosaur). We will then go to the pool for a bit perhaps and then head to Epcot to experience our first Food & Wine by grazing.
After Mel & I goto dinner at Narcoosee's, I think we are heading to Epcot to hang out for a while. I think there are EMHs. :confused3

Thursday, September 25 -- breakfast in the room and then head to the Magic Kingdom for Extra Magic Hours. We have FP+ for Be Our Guest for Lunch and then FP+ for Pooh, Big Thunder and Splash Mountain. We will then head to Epcot and spend our time in World Showcase and hae dinner at Nine Dragons (again new for us)
I'm not sure what we are doing before we head out. We might end up here. :confused3

Friday, September 26 -- We have lunch at p.m. and then will pass out a balloon to a child in memory of my dad and then start our drive to Marco Island for nine days. Nicki and I talked last night and will be talking tomorrow and we have most of our plans decided of where we are eating, etc.
Still love that tradition. :goodvibes

Thanks for joining and I hope you'll all join the TR when we get back. I'm sure we will have lots of great photos to share of DIS meets and adorable kids (yes, Tim, your kids are adorable...they all take after your lovely wife).
:lmao:

You're on a roll. :sad2:

Your plans look great Kathy! Yay for more DIS meets! I am sure you are going to have a blast!

So no Nine Dragons? I was looking forward to your review of that since I have never eating there.

One of these days I would like to get around to eating at WC for breakfast. I need to try it, but I know that breakfast at the GF cafe is also supposed to be super yummy! Hmmmm - ideas for next month!

I just cancelled Whispering Canyon for breakfast; Mark wants to try Grand Floridian Café after Brenda's (emmysmommy) stellar review He had me cancel Nine Dragons after I shared the F&W menus with him. And he had me cancel Be Our Guest for dinner because he said we were doing lunch. Instead he had me book Liberty Tree Tavern for a very late lunch because he really likes that place.

Don't be surprised if there are more changes in the TR. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Can't blame you and Mark for cancelling Nine Dragons or BoG for dinner; I would have done that as well. But I still can't get you into Whispering Canyon... LOL... Looking forward to how you end up liking Grand Floridian Cafe. I have heard many good things about it. I also share the opinion of Mark concerning Liberty Tree Tavern; It is one of the few TS restaurants I like in the MK and enjoy their lunch much more than the dinner.

Have a great time in a few short days from now. :thumbsup2

Just catching up again. And I just wanted to say - great final plans when I read your changes! Sounds so familiar.

Thanks, Karin; we are a changing group.

But you have a great trip coming up! Cannot wait to read about it. :thumbsup2

Thanks; we are getting very excited.

I know you are so excited! I can't wait to hear what you think of the BW! We have not stayed there but love the lobby.

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Lori, excited is an understatement. Mark needs this trip badly. We stayed at the BW in December and that is why we are going back...we really loved it (except the scary clown pool).

wow a lot of changes... sounds like good changes though! I am so excited for F&W this year!!

Yes; there are a few changes. But since it is the only time we will probably do F&W, I was happy to make those changes for Mark.

Your plans sound great! I hope ya'll have a great time and I can't wait to hear all about it when you start the trip report. Lots of pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: to you!!

Thank you so very much for all the pixie dust and for reading. :goodvibes

Kathy,

I am so excited for you! I hope you enjoy every single moment of this trip and it is the best one ever. :) After the year you've had, you both deserve it, and so much more.

Tracy, thank you very much. I truly appreciate it. I am sending you a huge  as I know it has been a rough one for you too.

Your plans look fantastic even if they keep changing! Have a great weekend and if I don't realm to you before I leave, have a wonderful trip!

Jill in CO

Thanks, Jill. You have a great trip too!

:thumbsup2 for changes! LOVE GF cafe, mostly because it is more serene. And YUMMY food!!

I have to admit that breakfast at WCC was very calm, but I am looking forward to trying GF.

I can't believe I somehow missed your entire PTR! Ive read it all now and I'm sure you're extra excited with less than a week left.

very excited...three more sleeps before we hit the airport.

I'm so excited you guys are doing the Backstage Safari. I did it last September and got to go in the elephant barn and feed a black Rhino in their barn! :goodvibes I think you guys will really love it.

Wow! I won't tell Mark about feeding the Rhino in case we don't get to do that, but I think he is really, really going to enjoy this.

Of course final plans are always subject to change! :rotfl2: I mean, we need some flexibility, right?

What would life be without some flexibility?

Plans look great! I love breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, it's always been my favorite. They have the strawberry soup, which I love.

I will tell Mark about the strawberry soup...he would probably like that (me...not so much).

I'm excited to see how you feel about Nine Dragons. I haven't eaten there in quite some time. And not because I don't think I'll enjoy it, it's just there are other things that always get selected instead.

That is one of the ones we cancelled Danielle. I was looking forward to Nine Dragons too (Nicki goes twice a trip as they really enjoy it). But Mark really wanted to experience more F&W so I gave in to his request (I don't make a habit of that though).

No upgrade on the flight home but at least I was able to get on an earlier flight. Which is good as I needed that extra sleep to deal with the temporary panic induced by realizing my debit card was missing.

Too bad about no upgrade, but glad you got an earlier flight. Did you find the debit card?

Ugh on laundry is right, I have so much to do and am so grateful another parent offered to do pickup from Eric's weekend scouting event. A 2 hour round trip wasn't fitting well into my plans for tomorrow :)

I've got Mark doing our last minute laundry now that I have to go to Apple tonight to get my phone fixed and tomorrow night is my pampering night.

Plans look good!

Thanks!

Our forecast is starting to improve :)

Yes it is! :yay::yay::yay:

Love all the plans and jealous as all get out.

I wish you were going to be there, Pat. :(

Love the changes and the GF cafe was great for dinner but I hope it as good for breakfast. Sounds like Mark is letting the GF grow on him. ;)

Yes, he is scaring me a little bit with two meals at GF this trip.

You're almost there...just a few more days of work to get through!

Fingers crossed for you that the severance check comes in so that you can rebook your signature dining!

Safe travels and looking forward to the TR.

Wonder what the Poly is gonna look like?

It didn't look good last time we were there.

We were going to head tO Epcot too, but this is our only chance o catch the Frozen fireworks. :coffee:

I understand they are fantastic.

Mel's mom is the one who is coming…. (just so you know ;) )

Ooops....sorry Mel's mom.

Did you just call me beautiful?

I most certainly did not.

Sounds like a plan!

And a darn good one if I do say so myself.

After Mel & I goto dinner at Narcoosee's, I think we are heading to Epcot to hang out for a while. I think there are EMHs. :confused3

Yes there are; perhaps we can have an adult beverage without the kids around.

I'm not sure what we are doing before we head out. We might end up here. :confused3

Perhaps "here" is when you should hit AK?
Friday, September 26 -- We have lunch at p.m. and then will pass out a balloon to a child in memory of my dad and then start our drive to Marco Island for nine days. Nicki and I talked last night and will be talking tomorrow and we have most of our plans decided of where we are eating, etc.
Still love that tradition. :goodvibes

Thank you Tim.

:lmao:

You're on a roll. :sad2:
You know I love you. And just to show you how much, I'm going to share "THE" picture. I held off all the way to the end...you should be proud of me.

I hope it is...we are so ready for it. I'm sure there are other reasons you want to go back; but, if you are looking for ornaments, let me know if you want me to pick them up.

Oh yeah, there are tons of reasons that I need to go back. We actually thought about not going to Tennessee for Thanksgiving and going to Disney instead. With the drive being so long, we wouldn't have much time there though. Thanks for the offer to pick up the ornaments for me. The ones that I want are in the long plastic sleeves so they wouldn't be very easy to ship though. :sad2:

Your plans look great Kathy! Yay for more DIS meets! I am sure you are going to have a blast!

Thanks, Mary Ellen. This trip is turning out to be exciting.

I was looking forward to trying it; but I understand Mark wanting to do F&W since we may never be back for it.

One of these days I would like to get around to eating at WC for breakfast. I need to try it, but I know that breakfast at the GF cafe is also supposed to be super yummy! Hmmmm - ideas for next month!

We really enjoyed WCC in December. But Brenda tends to get my husband to switch things around (even when she's not here).

I also share the opinion of Mark concerning Liberty Tree Tavern; It is one of the few TS restaurants I like in the MK and enjoy their lunch much more than the dinner.

I really like BOG for dinner...we've had three good experiences. And we did go to WCC in December...remember you were probably passing us in the lobby? But Mark is up to new things these days.

Have a great time in a few short days from now. :thumbsup2

Thank you; three more sleeps!

You're almost there...just a few more days of work to get through!

And boy are they piling it on me!

Fingers crossed for you that the severance check comes in so that you can rebook your signature dining!

It sure would be nice; but it won't be the end of the world. Mark probably won't let me rebook it anyway if he falls in love with this F&W stuff.

Safe travels and looking forward to the TR.

Thank you very much. :goodvibes

That would have been fun...you could have seen the Christmas decorations.

Checking in to say I'll be reading this one, too.

And catching up, too, of course, as I never seem to catch these early enough to read from the start. You'll be in the World on my birthday I believe! (The 22!) Have a drink for me? (I promise I'm over 21. In fact, I'm about to be 30.)

Thank you. As I always say, better late than never.

I will have a toast for your 30th! Oh to be 30 again. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

want to wish you both a very happy and relaxing vacation! you deserve a magical trip!

been so crazy here with back to school, haven't had time to get caught up on your plans :(

know you will have a great trip as always!

safe travels pixiedust:

It didn't look good last time we were there.
As long as they serve me my tonga toast and pressed pot I really don't care. :rotfl2:

I most certainly did not.
You sure? I think you might have.

Yes there are; perhaps we can have an adult beverage without the kids around.
We'll have to run to WS to get Melody a frozen grey goose slush.

Perhaps "here" is when you should hit AK?
We have no idea what we are gonna do Sunday before DHS and Thursday. We also might change our Wednesday 'day' around. It might be a game time decision.

You know I love you. And just to show you how much, I'm going to share "THE" picture. I held off all the way to the end...you should be proud of me.

Well. well. well. Looky what we have here. I knew you'd post it, I just thought you were saving it for the TR. :furious:

Wow Kathy! Your PTR is done and I've just joined in and read it. You sure are great at keeping up with things. I told you that I had finally got through for lunch fast passes for BOG last week. Now, this week I got an e-mail inviting us to use fast pass for lunch. I think I'm just gonna keep what I already have and not take a chance of messing anything up. The original ones still show up on the BOG lunch website so I assume we are set. Sounds like you have a great trip planned. Be safe and have a wonderful time. Hopefully I will be watching for your trip report.

That's right Kathy, how could I forget about our almost passing each other as we were leaving for our ride back to the airport with Disney's Un-Magical Express while you were somewhere in the lobby of WL. Still don't know how we missed you. :confused3

Again, have a great time these next few weeks down in Florida. :thumbsup2

Tracy, thank you very much. I truly appreciate it. I am sending you a huge  as I know it has been a rough one for you too.

Gah, so emotional. You just made me cry. :sad1: Your hugs are truly appreciated. XO

Have a fabulous trip and a beverage or two for me on Sunday. :woohoo:

want to wish you both a very happy and relaxing vacation! you deserve a magical trip!

Thanks, Lisa.

been so crazy here with back to school, haven't had time to get caught up on your plans :(

No worries.

know you will have a great trip as always!

I'm sure it will; lots of new DIS meets planned, as well as seeing another DISer I met in Chicago.

safe travels pixiedust:

Thank you very much.

As long as they serve me my tonga toast and pressed pot I really don't care. :rotfl2:

I hear you!

You sure? I think you might have.

Oh trust me, I'm sure!

We'll have to run to WS to get Melody a frozen grey goose slush.

Oooh....and I'll have the Grand Mariner Slush!

We have no idea what we are gonna do Sunday before DHS and Thursday. We also might change our Wednesday 'day' around. It might be a game time decision.

Just don't mess with the days with the Anna & Elsa FP!

Well. well. well. Looky what we have here. I knew you'd post it, I just thought you were saving it for the TR. :furious:

Oh, I'm sure it will make an appearance there too! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:Well, you did get here, so that is good. I would leave the BOG alone too! I will send you a bat signal when I start the TR.

That's right Kathy, how could I forget about our almost passing each other as we were leaving for our ride back to the airport with Disney's Un-Magical Express while you were somewhere in the lobby of WL. Still don't know how we missed you. :confused3

Old age creeping up on you too? ;)

Again, have a great time these next few weeks down in Florida. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Bob. One more work day and then it is time.

Gah, so emotional. You just made me cry. :sad1: Your hugs are truly appreciated. XO

You know I love you my pickle friend.

Have a fabulous trip and a beverage or two for me on Sunday. :woohoo:

Oh, I will be at Epcot that day and will make a toast (or two) for you on "your" day.
