Well, that explains it. I am glad they came around and finally made things right. I'm glad it worked out for ya'll!

I certainly wasn't expecting them to do anything, but this was beyond generous on their part.

Sounds like a great change of plans!! Fireworks at DHS!!

Nice change in plans. Glad they are extending the Frozen Summer fun. WE did see the fireworks and they are a nice addition but they do close down the back half of the park early for them so if you ever plan on doing something else it is very crowded.

Oh I'm so glad you got to see them. We are just going for the fireworks as we have a Studios morning with Tim and family on that coming Monday.

The Brown derby has a lounge .... only appetizers but some yummy drinks and the food was good {spoiler} from my trip.

We've had good food at both Backlot Express and the Fairfax Fare/food court area on Sunset Blvd the past couple of trips. True, they don't serve anything all that special or unique, but the food has been good for what it is.

We've done Backlot and weren't fans; we've never done Fairfax Fare though. I'll keep it in mind; thanks Andy.

So I guess this means you and Mark will be going to the ABC Commissary.

That is the LAST place I will be going.

We will be up early this morning. We will either have a quick breakfast in the room or we will have breakfast once we have arrived here:





If we don't eat breakfast in the room, we will stop at Starbucks and get coffee and a treat of some sort here (Mark does like their fresh baked goods).

It is EMH morning so we will get as much done in the new Fantasyland and old Fantasyland as we can in that first hour -- Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Voyage of the Mermaid, etc. We might even head right to the Mine Train line and get on that first. We will also probably do Dumbo, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and Hall of Presidents if there is time for all of those before lunch.







I am hoping for an email invite for the Be Our Guest lunch as we'd really like to try lunch here (we've had dinner three times already) and not have to wait in a ridiculously long line to do it.

After our hopeful lunch at Be Our Guest, we have FP+ selections for:





And Splash Mountain (I can't find a picture because it has been so long since we rode it).

After our ride on Splash, we will go back to the MK parking lot and get the car and drive it back to our resort. We will then immediately walk over here:



We should get here around 6:00 p.m. We will stay in World Showcase as we have a dinner ADR at 6:45 for Nine Dragons in China. This is new for us, but Nicki and Todd told us we have to try it. They ate there twice in May and loved it.

We will probably just roam the stores after that and then had back to our resort (love that about the Boardwalk...can just walk back to our room) as we have our last day at the World tomorrow and it starts early.

Since I have absolutely NO knowledge or expereince with the magic bands, my experience, etc.... You may get an email invitation for lunch at BOG??? I read another thread where someone mentioned placing their lunch order online prior to the trip. Is this all possible with the new system? That blows my mind. I am going to be such an "old school" planner trying to figure all this out when we do make it back to the parks in a couple years.

My brother and his wife rave about Nine Dragons, too. But we just cannot motivate ourselves to eat Chinese in Epcot. We get Chinese on a regular basis here at home, so when we are at Epcot we try to pick cuisine that is not readily available at home. You must let me know if it is worth all the "hub-bub".

It is easier when it is only two and you can get so much done during extra magic hours in the a.m.

Yes, if you get an invite, you can get a FP for lunch which does NOT count towards your allotted 3 FP's, and you can preorder your lunch if you choose. It's a whole new world with the magic bands and the new FP+ system. Parts of it I like, parts of it I'm not as fond of.

Sounds like a great morning at MK! The BoG FP should be emailed from what I understand. There are threads on the restaurant boards that include the link to that page if you don't get the email. If I understand it, you can still schedule a FP for it from there. I like lunch there (better than dinner actually!)

Epcot resorts are so convenient aren't they? I'll be eager to hear about your meal at 9 Dragons.

I hope you enjoy Nine Dragons; I ate there in March and really enjoyed it. It gets a bad rap here on the DIS, sometimes, and I don't know why. The food was very good, lots of selection, and wait staff was wonderful. I would eat there again in a heartbeat.

No you don't; and what I have seen are usually only so-so. But I trust Nicki's judgment completely.

We've done about that in the past so hoping we can again; yes, I'm leaning towards Starbucks for that morning...especially since it such an early one.

So I've caught up to page 15… not that you care but I'm jut leaving a reminder incase I pass out before eI read the rest of it.

We are signed up for the Backstage Safari at the Animal Kingdom. A small description from Disney World's site:

I thought this would be something Mark would really enjoy as he LOVES animals. He seriously should have been a veterinarian.

That sounds like an awesome time. Not sure I could afford it for my entire family.

After that, we will hang at the AK. We will go to lunch at Flame Tree which we have missed the last couple of trips.

Now that we are home from MD, I need to go through our plans again. I wanna eat at Flame Tree but I'm not even sure if we are going to make it to AK.

As of now, I have us just hanging at the pool in the evening. This may or may not change...who knows. I may make it an Epcot night since I may have to change our Sunday night (September 20) from Epcot to the Studios since they've extended the Frozen stuff through September and I want to see and experience some of it. We shall see.

Up next, a two park day

I think we (just Melody & I) will be heading to Epcot after our dinner at Narcoosee's. Unless they've changed hours (again) FW will be open till 11.


EDIT:: I read through the rest. We are trying to decide what to do on the 25th before we have to head to the airport. Do we hit MK again? We are only spending like EVERY day there. Hey we have to take advantage of that BLT walkway. We might make this a Epcot or AK day. Who knows… this planning is making my head spin.

Or I could leave a parking pass for you for the Boardwalk Just a thought.

I'd probably hit The Mara before driving over if it were me (and I'd be starving by then anyway lol).
