Could this be our last trip to the World for awhile...Final Plans 9/11

Sounds like another great day! Walking back to the Boardwalk from Epcot is the best! I love being able to leisurely walk back rather than racing towards the bus or monorail.

Sounds like my type of day! ;) We always go to EMH in the AM, we always seem to get a lot done before the crowds come in. We will be in MK on the 25th :goodvibes

It certainly would be great to be able to walk to Epcot!

I forgot to add, good luck on getting BOG for lunch! We are having a late breakfast at Crystal Palace.

Wow- subbing on and happy to get onto page 18 when you started this is July...

 So sorry about Mark- I can imagine how terrible that's all been ... I know what it feels like to be sad and angry for your DH when that happens and how extra terrible after all those years...(Eric started a job at the beginning of the year and was let go two months later - let's just say the less said about the founder of the organization he worked for the better...- but I was so sad and angry for him all at the same time...:furious: fortunately he's working now -great opportunity so all's good but it was not a happy time for a bit...) I'm glad that you are still going on your trip though because life keeps moving and we should enjoy and appreciate the good thing as much as possible...

I love both of those resorts and what a great switch up- both so awesome and so different ...

will love to hear your take on the behind the scenes at AK...

*btw how did Andy and Des like Ireland???)

The traveler is back!
Back and exhausted. I need a vacation. :lmao:

I thought you said you weren't going to AK this trip. You do know they extended the Frozen Summer Fun at the Studios, right?
Yea I know they extended. I guess we are going to have to go to DHS on Sunday night for the fireworks. That really messes up my plans. popcorn::

I think you should AK...you can get a few things in and I bet Gabby would like the animals.
Yea, we could do AK but MK has EMHs… who knows what we are gonna do. :confused3

You just are NOT on top of your game, are you?
Nope. I'm shot.

We should probably confirm all of our stuff at some point too. Any decision on the Halloween Party?
I'm scared to make any changes. I don't want to mess anything up. :lmao:

Still haven't decided on the party. pirate:

Thanks, Sarah. It really is having that option to walk. I hate the Disney buses.

I'm really surprised more people don't go to them, Jen.

It certainly would be great to be able to walk to Epcot!

We did it last June and December and it was great.

I forgot to add, good luck on getting BOG for lunch! We are having a late breakfast at Crystal Palace.

Thanks!

Patricia, it is SO good to see you! I've missed you around here.

 So sorry about Mark- I can imagine how terrible that's all been ... I'm so sorry that Eric went through that. I just don't understand companies any more.

I love both of those resorts and what a great switch up- both so awesome and so different ...

Me too; we loved Boardwalk in December.

will love to hear your take on the behind the scenes at AK...

We are really looking forward to this.

*btw how did Andy and Des like Ireland???)

They LOVED it! They really had a great time and loved all the old churches, etc.

Back and exhausted. I need a vacation. :lmao:

You are too funny; you were on a beach for crying out loud!

Yea I know they extended. I guess we are going to have to go to DHS on Sunday night for the fireworks. That really messes up my plans. popcorn::

Don't you hate when Disney messes with your plans?

Yea, we could do AK but MK has EMHs… who knows what we are gonna do. :confused3

Well, we will be at MK EMH's if that makes any difference. ;)

Nope. I'm shot.

Maybe you should pass the baton to Mel?

I'm scared to make any changes. I don't want to mess anything up. :lmao:

Smart man!

Still haven't decided on the party. pirate:

Okay...just let me know.

You are too funny; you were on a beach for crying out loud!
Have you ever been on a beach with 3 kids? Exhausting.

Don't you hate when Disney messes with your plans?
Yup. Not sure what we are gonna do about this. :confused3

Well, we will be at MK EMH's if that makes any difference.
You think 4 days in MK is too much? :confused3 :lmao::lmao:

Maybe you should pass the baton to Mel?
She doesn't DIS… she doesn't get it. :lmao:

Have you ever been on a beach with 3 kids? Exhausting.

I must admit I have not...thank God. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yup. Not sure what we are gonna do about this. :confused3

I wish they'd leave things alone so we wouldn't have to constantly be playing with our plans...especially after FP+ have been chosen.

You think 4 days in MK is too much? :confused3 :lmao::lmao:

Well, you do have two really little ones who will like it.

She doesn't DIS… she doesn't get it. :lmao:

She doesn't need to DIS to make plans. :rotfl:

I must admit I have not...thank God.
Ever goto WDW with 3 kids? Same concept. :lmao: :lmao:

I wish they'd leave things alone so we wouldn't have to constantly be playing with our plans...especially after FP+ have been chosen.
I agree… I do like the Frozen extension at DHS but we only have our arrival day to do it.

She doesn't need to DIS to make plans.
We haven't been thinking too much about his trip… we are just going to let it happen. :rotfl:

I did get my rental bidding on priceline this morning. $250 for 8 days for an SUV. Not too bad. :cool2:

Does it count that I spent a couple of days with four girls? Read that...FOUR GIRLS under the age of 11.

I agree… I do like the Frozen extension at DHS but we only have our arrival day to do it.

Yes, we are going there arrival night to meet Cynthia and see the fireworks.

We haven't been thinking too much about his trip… we are just going to let it happen. :rotfl:

Okay; tell me how that works.

Nice job! I got my 16 day full size car for $276. We were originally at almost $500 for an intermediate, and I kept playing and got the full size for $276. I will probably play again a week before our trip and see if I can get it even lower.

First, I am glad to hear that your AP was extended! That is more in line with the type of customer service that we all have come to expect from disney!

It is EMH morning so we will get as much done in the new Fantasyland and old Fantasyland as we can in that first hour -- Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Voyage of the Mermaid, etc. We might even head right to the Mine Train line and get on that first. We will also probably do Dumbo, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and Hall of Presidents if there is time for all of those before lunch.

I am hoping for an email invite for the Be Our Guest lunch as we'd really like to try lunch here (we've had dinner three times already) and not have to wait in a ridiculously long line to do it.

After our hopeful lunch at Be Our Guest, we have FP+ selections for:

And Splash Mountain (I can't find a picture because it has been so long since we rode it).

Wow! That is an action packed morning! Sounds like you are both going to have a great time!!

After our ride on Splash, we will go back to the MK parking lot and get the car and drive it back to our resort. We will then immediately walk over here:

We should get here around 6:00 p.m. We will stay in World Showcase as we have a dinner ADR at 6:45 for Nine Dragons in China. This is new for us, but Nicki and Todd told us we have to try it. They ate there twice in May and loved it.

OOO! I have never eaten there. I will be anxious to read your review of it. :goodvibes

We will probably just roam the stores after that and then had back to our resort (love that about the Boardwalk...can just walk back to our room) as we have our last day at the World tomorrow and it starts early.

Love that easy walk!

This is why I should NOT do a PTR...I'm always changing things. But this is a good change.

I think this is the fun part of reading trip reports! I love seeing how trips change and evolve over time! Lord knows I plan my trips so far in advance that I make many many changes over the next months!

I'm following along though, looks good so far!!

Thats a great price! Maybe someday we can go back to renting a car. :rotfl2:

Our MBs arrived yesterday. We are getting closer, and it still doesn't feel real. Maybe it's because we haven't told the kids. :confused3

Looks like a great day. I'm not surprised at all by a breakfast stop at Starbucks. I hope that you can get to lunch at BOG. I really, really liked the lunch there when we tried it. It is probably the best counter service meal you can get inside one of the parks.

I was overwhelmed when they told me. It sure made life easier...especially after Mark lost his job.

Wow! That is an action packed morning! Sounds like you are both going to have a great time!!

I think we will get it all done too; it is lighter crowds and we will be on a mission to accomplish it.

OOO! I have never eaten there. I will be anxious to read your review of it. :goodvibes

It's the best...and a big reason we did a split stay this trip.

You have a good point; and then it is fun to look back when you return and see how many things changed yet again.

I'm following along though, looks good so far!!

:welcome:; thank you for joining. :)

Ummmm....not any time soon, I'm afraid.

Our MBs arrived yesterday. We are getting closer, and it still doesn't feel real. Maybe it's because we haven't told the kids. :confused3

We got our first set, waiting on the second. So, when are you telling the kids?

I didn't think you would be surprised about Starbucks. :rotfl: I hope I can get it too...so far no invite and no ADR's available. :(

It is our last day at Disney as it is now Friday, September 26.

We will be up early and shower, get the car packed up and then drive here for breakfast:

Don't faint Andy!!! :lmao::lmao: Yes, we will never go back for dinner, but we absolutely loved breakfast and can't wait to go back.

After breakfast, we will make the short ride here:

We have FP+ for

and

and finally

(althought those adorable girls won't be there with us)

We will fill in with other attractions where we can, and then we will head to our ADR for lunch which, as those of you who have been with me for awhile know, will be here:

And I hope to leave room for one of these:

After lunch, I will do our last tradition from the past six years...I will find a child to give a balloon to in memory of my dad. Then it will be farewell to Disney as we start our drive here:

and then here

We will stop at the grocery store and then go to the condo, unload the car, put groceries away and hit the sack. I'm figuring it will be around 9 p.m. by then. Why to bed so early? That's simple: the next day is Nicki and I shopping/Starbucks/giggling/talking/shopping/Starbucks day.

It sounds like a fantastic last day!!! At least you can look forward to seeing nikki!!! Yay!!!

Now I'm going back to harass you on Facebook..

If you gotta leave Disney, then leave it with a bang....Whispering Canyon breakfast, Plaza lunch, use a few FP+ and honor your father. Yep, a good way to end a trip.

At least your vacation won't be over. You're going to Nicki land!

Sounds like a great last day! At least your vacation isn't over when you leave Disney - that must help a lot!
