Military Drops Cole Bombing Charges ... For Now and Possibly Forever

I think this is a reaaaaaaaaaaally bad idea for all of us, as it signals to our enemies that we are weak.

I feel just terrible for the families of those who died on the USS Cole.

I am thinking the "Bush Lied" crowd will view this as a victory.

Did you see that Obama has named General Electric Co. CEO Jeffrey R. Immelt to his economic advisory team.

This is the guy that has sent GE stock in a hopeless downward spiral. He runs NBC and MSNBC. They are involved in health care. He is also pushing all of the solar panel and wind turbine crap since his company would be the biggest beneficiary from it, is now an advisor to the President.

This man is the biggest lobbyist of them all and he has the President's ear. I am pretty sure that the left will think that there is nothing wrong with this at all, but it really ticks me off.

Ironically, it's what we used to hear the left accusing George Bush of so much: Obama is just tone deaf. He just doesn't get it. He doesn't understand his own country at all, and he really, really doesn't understand the mind of a terrorist. He's like a 6-year-old: "Mommy, don't you think Mr. Nashiri just needs a hug?"

I have been there. I know what you are feeling. My daughter was diagnosed with Diffused B-Cell Lymphoma in September. She finished her last chemo January 6. Pet scan came back clear, no tumors anywhere. She is now in remission. She gets her port out Wednesday.

I call her tonight and she is down. Previously her oncologist said that she would need Ritoxin (chemo drug) once every six months for two years. Well now today, he says that he is not sure about this. He is going to a conference and depending on the new research she may not need it (or in his words, it might not make any difference.) Seriously, does he not know that this makes his patients worry? We have decided to do the Ritoxin regardless of what the new fangled research says. This is not a chemo drug that makes you sick or makes you lose your hair. The other chemo drugs (CHOP) have made her lose her hair and made her sick.

We might just go to Moffitt Cancer Center and get a second opinion. I have really trusted this doctor until he said this today. I'm sending prayers to your mom and to you. I know how much stress this can bring on a family. You will be surprised how much courage your mom has. I know my daughter has truly amazed me through this. She is my hero and she has made this mom mighty proud.

Yeah, she's mine, too. Hannity went off on his radio show today. I've never heard him so angry. I'm calling her. Levin, too. They need to know how we feel.

I just want to say that this thread has the bravest women on it! SD and sarasotamom, you are both obviously great caregivers and I hope and pray your loved ones will be well soon.

My take on docs: sometimes I think they are overly cautious because of the possibility of litigation. Wish sometimes they were more intuitive, though.

Hi guys! I've missed you-but I can't even begin to catch up. DH got a little crazy the other night when I was STILL on the internet after dinner. He saw the topic of one of the threads I was in and he said "I thought this was a DISNEY board? What the heck are you people going on about GENDER for??"

He's right-I was spending WAY too much time online. I got addicted very quickly, you guys are all so interesting and it's fun to read all those opinions and get involved in the discussions.

I actually like Beckel. He's not a nutcase. I don't agree with anything he says, but at least he doesn't scream it.

All of that being said, I just saw him a few days ago on some channel (probably FOX) stating that the Republican party will be extinct within a few years and is no longer relevant. Guess that ain't true, huh Bob?

I listen to Bill Bennett in the morning when I take the kids to school and the last hour Michael Steele is on, so I get to hear him for a few minutes on the ride back home. I really like this guy. I had no idea that he was in the seminary.

He's someone I'd love to sit down and just talk. He seems to be a genuinely nice guy.
