Not stirring the pot here, but I'm asking honestly because I don't know. Was it disrespectful for the President to shake the hand of the Marine? Or is it because he caught the Marine off guard? Should he have waited to shake the Marine's hand once they were both on the helicopter? (Does that Marine actually go on the helicopter with him?)

Question 2 - WHY were these people who bombed the Cole - why were the charges dropped? What is the President's reasoning for this?

(I am doing my best to not say "Obama" and instead I'm trying to say "The President" or "President Obama." I will not stoop to what the Left has done for the past 8 years in demonizing President Bush).

I just use pronouns; much easier that way.

Me too. I call Obama; Obama. I call Bush; Bush. Had McCain been elected, I would have called him McCain – and called him McCain throughout the entire election. I call Palin; Palin. I call Hillary, Hillary, because I call Bill Clinton, Clinton, so I had to have a different name for her. I never refer to the President as 'President so-an-so' in conversation, but if I were to actually meet and speak with that President, I would use the formal address of 'President so-an-so"

i had a post session with a lib...she didn't like that some of us used his initials, bo, 'cause they thought it was insulting...'cause in, like, second grade, it meant body odor (shows their level of sophistication that body odor is the first thing they think of.) it was decided "bho" was better, even though at first using the "h" wasn't okay...now it is. that's how i refer to him...bho.

But he calls Obama "Milhous". Why? Because; since it is "racist" to refer to Obama by his real middle name, he calls him by Nixon's middle name.

I'm tired of reading people complain that now so and so will get $15,000 credit when I only got $7,500 credit 2 months ago.

People need to stop complaining when they're already getting an awesome deal on a home with fantasic interest rates. Robert Gibbs is perfect he has the umm down. Tryed to keep count but after 22 in 2 minutes just gave up. Can't get over how much TV coverage-every day. Sure switching to the History Channel a lot. Can't stand listening to same old same old--we must pass this bailout or we are doomed. Enough already.

I've got iTunes on shuffle and the TV is OFF. I'm tired of listening to all the doom and gloom predictions followed by smug assertions about who won. I visited the nyt website on the obama shaking hands with the Marine. There was someone actually pretending to be the Marine and said he enjoyed it and it showed respect to the Marines!
What tipped me off first that it was an imposter was he spelled his own name wrong. The other tips? A lot of misspellings, a lot of stuff a Marine would never say or say wrong, and the obama worship.
It was just like the libs pretending to be "conservatives voting for obama" on con websites. We saw through that, too.

Oh my goodness, I have been out of the loop for the past week and this thread went wild! You guys rock!

Anywho, I've been reading various political thread and I can't help but notice a common theme. Somebody calls out the current administration for something and a dem comes up with the excuse, "well, that's what GWB did for the last 8 years." Have they forgotten the entire platform that BHO ran on? The whole change thing... I thought his administration was going to be different?
