Columbus Day Weekend - DQ/Epcot?

Hi! We're going Oct 5 - 10th. Hoping for help from anyone who's been there around this time. Going to MK on Wednesday, then planning to hit Epcot, US & IOA. Any thoughts on whether Epcot will be better on Friday or Sunday? And would it make any difference on whether we go to DQ Thursday or Friday? We would be getting there midafternoon after a half day at IOA. I know these are kind of specific questions but any help is appreciated!!!

we are looking at the same time frame--planning on doing Epcot on Thursday, October 7. We usually have very good luck at Epcot on Sunday, but have never been during the Food & Wine Festival. That Sunday is also the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend, which is often busy.

I am slo looking for some similar info. trying to decide between Mon-Tue-Wed for the Magic Kingdom (October 4-5-6). Tuesday is the only night that week, other than Saturday, for Spectromagic. I don't know what impact that will have on the crowds. Is there a difference between any of those days, in early October?
