What a fun football day! So cool that you got to be there for Game Day! It looks like the students were having a blast! I love to watch the kids at our OREGON DUCK games.

I admit I saw a lot of football fans all over the place on the way to the hospital Saturday night, but none of them looked like those two!

Nice pictures - lots of excitement shows in them! I'm glad you got to go and have so much fun. It's nice to have these special times to make the mundane things of life a little more bearable.

Hurting this morning, but much better off than we had first thought. Yesterday at this time, he was hooked up to IV's, had a neck brace on, wasn't allowed to have as much as ice chips to eat, etc. This morning, he's at home, free to move about, and can eat soft foods. I think he's quite happy with that option, even if he is in a lot of pain!

Thanks for asking. With all they said he could have had, he's a lucky guy. Let's see if he has learned anything from the experience. Responsibility to put that helmet on at all times with no exceptions and appreciation for his health are two ideas that come to my mind!!!

OK I can see the Epcot photopass pictures and they are great! It is invaluable to meet a good photopass photographer who is willing to spend some time and get a bunch of different shots. Most of ours took one or two pictures of us just standing there smiling and then handed the camera back, although we did get one who did a Stitch picture and it is my favorite! Yours are all really cute and I love the one of you guys in front of SE, cool idea!

Yikes! I'm going through Vandy Girls withdrawals!!!! I can't wait until Oct 9th. Oh well, maybe I'll finish my TR by then. I can't seem to get my link right - I spent an hour on it this morning - finally gave up and just pasted it in.

I have lurked on all of your trip reports. I am really shy in person and on the computer. I am trying to be more outgoing and not worry if people will like me or not. Everybody on the disboards have been nice to me so I am coming out of my shell. That was the reason I asked you because you usually do have pictures of yourself. I am glad that you were able to take pictures for Erica.

glad you're coming out of your internet shell! some boards are full of flamers (people who like to insult and argue) but generally speaking the dis isn't like that. i'm glad you're here with us!

I found out I can read the yellow if I highlight. it really kills my eyes, I usually skip it being I know it is about football.

it's so frustrating! i have pro and so i think we're going to use that account form now on.

so you're a ducks fan, huh? my hubby's boss is justin roper's uncle, so ray's been keeping up with them, too. justin is the QB but he's out right now - he pulled his MCL. hopefully he'll be playing again soon!

so while erica was enjoying her victory-filled VANDY day, myself, ray, anna, chris and luke (anna is one of my best friends, chris her hubby and luke their 4yo) got to enjoy the MAYSVILLE FALL FESTIVAL.....HOORAY!!! maysville is a tiny town nearby and we decided to check it out. it was an experience, to say the least. but we had fun. come join us.....

first we played a little putt putt for prizes......

luke got a hole in one......

then luke got a tattoo of a super cool lizard on his arm.......

then we did some spin art......

i'm totally hanging this above my fireplace.......

we also had fun making edible sand art.......

anna's parents made a cameo......they're so sweet!

finally the time came to try to win some goldfish by throwing ping pong balls into goldfish bowls.....now THAT takes some skill!!!!!

luke won two goldfish! he didn't look very happy and so when i asked him why he said he wanted three.

i said we should name them nemo and marlin since they were gold. yeah, i realize they weren't clownfish, but he's 4 - he doesn't know that. but he disagreed with me and said he was going to name them goldfish 1 and goldfish 2.

THEN......WE HEARD IT. we heard what was supposed to be singing coming from the stage area.....only i don't really think i'd classify it as singing. we tried to tune it out, but it just wouldn't go away. so we went around to that area to find out where the noise was coming from, and we saw this.....

now i'm not trying to be mean. more power to ANYONE who can get up on a stage and be brave and go for it. but when you get up on that stage, you open yourself up to some level of scrutiny. someone who cared about this poor girl should have told her........NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! it was worse than american idol try-outs. see what you think!

at that point we decided it was time to get the heck outta there! on the way home luke had fun playing with the light saber on ray's iphone....

definitely not as exciting as watching vandy beat auburn, but a fun day nonetheless. it was an experience, for sure. we saw some *cough, cough* interesting people.

it's teeny tiny. if you've ever been up to the outlet malls in commerce, maysville is at the exit right before that one. it's one of those places that if you literally blink, you'll miss it. when i was at school at north georgia my contract law professor was an attorney in maysville and he said it was like practicing law in mayberry!

I about pee'd myself watching that video! First of all, did you notice the dude with the 80's hair band do? Before you click to watch the video, he's standing in front of the stage. That about says it all. I love it when she sings "fly me to heaven above..." and she flies her hand in the air at the same time? Was it kareoke or was the the live music? My DH and I love to kareoke and she is some thing you would definately see on a kareoke stage.
