*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

Well, you know how hard a time I had choosing a resort! I am the worst. I am still tinkering with numbers to see if we can upgrade in June before my April 24th deadline. :sad2:

We probably won't though unless we win the lottery -- and that would entail me actually playing it -- which would entail me spending money that could be spent at Disney. So that's not going to happen.

I keep doing the same thing you're doing. I've considered other resorts, but then I come to my senses :lmao:

I don't play the lottery either. That money could be better spent in the travel size aisle at Target :rotfl2:

towncar service to and from, stay at Epcot resort (BWI, BCV ....), then you are only dealing with bus service for 2 resorts...I would be afraid of Disney busses during peak times though, but trying to park at resorts, take a tram, etc might be worse.... When I went at the end of June, Pop wasn't bad.....

That makes perfect sense, even during other times of year. I'm thinking BC or BCV because of Stormalong Bay.

:rotfl2: :lmao:

I remember another TG being mentioned but I guess we forgot.

Oh I see how this is now. well don't ask me for any advice anymore. now If u will excuse me I am going over to the corner to cry. :sad1: and drown my sorrows in Lapu Lapu's.

:lmao:

Awww TGS I didn't forget about you. TGJ is my West Coast liason and you're my East Coast liason :lmao:

I did have grey goose on Friday night, but not enough to elicit a drunken coma :rotfl2:

TGS, I think we need to find a place in NYC that serves a drink in a pineapple. Hmmm, any ideas?

How is apartment hunting going? Next Saturday, I'm looking at 16 apartments with an agent:scared1: I'm going to need lots of lapu lapus after.

I almost did.... but the move to expensive for a job that paid less

I checked teaching jobs in Florida. I'd make approx $30,000 less :scared1:
I'm going to stay in NYC and visit frequently.

Seriously??? It's that much of a difference??? That's crazy!!! Although, you may be right -- when I looked into moving back to Charleston there was about a $20,000 difference between here and there. I said the same thing about staying here and visiting frequently.

I know it seems tough to move to FL. I know I have thrown the idea around several times. But I just cant take the pay cut either.:scared1: BUt now that I'm almost out of debt, I'm gonna start looking at it again. Moving with no debt is a lot easier. :cool1:

Sorry to hear about your DH's niece.

Maybe I'll bump into you at Disney for a lapu lapu :)

thank you. and that would be fun to have a lapu lapu friend. Somehow, I just don't see DH sharing one with me..... :goodvibes

Cost of housing here pretty much takes that difference and throws it right out the window.... you would not believe what we pay for houses or rent in the NY/NJ Tri-State area!! :scared1:

It's a huge difference. If I simply got a job in Westchester, Long Island, or Connecticut, I could make $10,000+ more. But other things here are more expensive, so I guess it evens out.

I'd just like to live in a place where winter doesn't exist. I'm thinking Barbados :lmao:

Moving with no debt is so much easier for anyone. My cousin teaches in Florida and right now there are budget cuts. It's so scary to move:scared1:

I hope the Poly has lots of pineapples for our lapu lapu party :rotfl2:

I agree about the cost of housing. You can get more for your money elsewhere. But I do love NY

OMG! I just got your update and I am soooo jealous of you! :goodvibes
I have always wanted to do Christmas in Disney but we just could never pull it off....I would love to see the castle all lit up and do MVMCP. I also watched the christmas show about disney (travel channel I think) and It was the GF that had the huge gingerbread house. that is where I would stay (if money wasnt a issue).

Congrats on getting to go in December..I think youll have a great time!:thumbsup2

Thanks :)

I'm pretty excited about the possibility of going in December. I think I may just book a package today and if I have to cancel or postpone, I'll just do that.

I love Christmas decorations, especially over the top ones. What better place to see over the top Christmas than Disney?

As soon as I decide on a resort, I'll post it.

That's a huge paycut. I guess yearly trips will just have to do for both of us for now :)

Where are you booking in December? How long do you plan to stay?

I could never leave - born and raised in New Jersey. My whole family is here. DH even moved from Michigan (where we could have had a GORGEOUS house immediately after we got married) for me. That's love. lol

Good morning Jenn...I just got up about 45 minutes ago...still feeling yucky....

Feel better, Jordan! I'm not 100% myself today!

I'm going to price the GF, POR/POFQ, Dolphin, and WL. Not sure how long just yet. Decisions, decisions!

As much as I think about moving away, I don't think I could leave NY. I really love it here and most of my family is here also.

Does your DH love NJ?

Feel better

Oh my goodness. There's been a whole lot of chit chatting going on here in my absence. I am finally caught up!

I assume you are on the Dis while practicing your crunches. Right? You know we all want to see trainer's tight tummy!

What's the latest apartment update?

 for your December trip!

Did you ever buy anything at WOD?

I can't believe I missed the "does Bret Michaels have real hair" conversation!

we might have found one in his nephews building but we cannot see it till the 11th because it is Passover for the agent for the next 2 weeks, then we have the book club on the 4th and then the 11th we will see it. be great if we get it.

I have been doing my crunches and push ups :rotfl2: I have a boxing lesson tomorrow with the trainer. Maybe his shirt will just fall off :confused3

I'm going to look at more apartments on Saturday with an agent. I think I'm going to 16 different apartments in Whitestone and Bayside.

I'm excited about December! Hopefully, I'll be able to definitely go.

I did buy stuff at WOD, just need to take some pics :thumbsup2

Do you think Bret Michaels' hair is real? I really think it's extensions or it's connected to the bandana. But sometimes he takes the bandana off. Not sure how that would work then.

I'm going to do Lapu Lapu research?

Good luck with the apartment!!! Where is Biff's nephew's building?
