Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Good morning! Is it Monday again? Rats.

I spent the weekend writing my "novel". It's National Novel Writing Month again (NaNoWriMo if you want to google). 50,000 words in 30 days. I had a 10,000 word weeknd so I'm feeling pretty good about being 1/5 of the way through already.

Wow Susan you had a pretty productive weekend. What's the novel about? Keep up the good work.

Happy Election Day! I'll be heading to vote on the way to Sam's this morning. We are having a Saints party on Sunday for about 50 or 60 people. What better place than Sam's to buy all the goodies for it. Now I just hope they win.

Good morning :hippie:

It's month-end here so it's busy.

Susan, good luck on your "novel" that sounds so great that you're doing that!!

Tricia, party for 60 people at the house? I can't imagine everything that you need to buy.

Good morning all!

Susan, that's great about writing a novel. There are many people who don't attempt to realize "hobbies" as a potential career, out of fear or whatever I suppose. It's good to read you're trying it out. If you could post an "excerpt" on here when you're finished, that would be really cool. Good luck in that. Remember: just copying/pasting all your 3,702 posts on here into a book won't cut it. ;)

I hope everyone makes it out to vote today. I did and the lines were the longest I've ever seen, even here in Kentucky where we've learned from history how to defeat voter fraud (ID's and signatures really go a long way). The machines were working ok, except that sheer numbers of people were overwhelming the two machines we have in our precinct.

Be that as it may, please get out and vote if you haven't already.

I just got back from voting. I stood in line for 25 minutes. Not too bad and it kept moving so you really didn't realize how long it was. Clever me timed it though. :lmao: I was actually happy to see the lines so that means people are getting out to vote.

Good morning!

I left the house early this morning to vote on my way to work. I had to wait about five minutes but I've NEVER had to wait before. Usually I'm the only one in there.

Thanks for the encouragement on my "novel". I don't know that it will go anywhere but I'm having fun doing it.

This is a day early but I didn't want to forget

Hope you have a great birthday Tricia!

Happy Birthday Tricia! I hope it's a great day for you. :yay:

Mine is tomorrow (11/6), and it's a nasty one.

Grim 40's not so bad. I'm 43 today and just looking at it like it's another day. Thanks for the well wishes and I'll be sure to pass them along tomorrow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRICIA!:cheer2: :cheer2:

The 40's have been good to you with your 30 pounds loss. :flower3:
Enjoy your day!

Grim, make sure you stop by tomorrow for your birthday greeting!

Happy Birthday Tricia!! I just popped in and saw it's your birthday (and Grim's tomorrow!!)

have a great day!:yay:

Grim, make sure you stop by tomorrow for your birthday greeting!

Assuming they don't get the blocking server back up here at work, I will. I sure wish I wasn't in such an anti-Disney funk, so I could enjoy the rest of this site more while I've got access to it. :sad1: I wish I'd had access to it right before our trip in October, when I was eagerly looking forward to the trip.

Go out and live it up tonight, Tricia, and happy birthday!

Yeah i'm in a Disney funk too! We're booked for January and i'm thinking of cancelling. I would rather spend that extra 1.5weeks in Mexico in April/May when we go.
