I get the morning greeting today? Wow.

Good morning!

It's warming up around here. We are supposed to be back in the high 80's for the rest of the week. At this time next week I'll be stuck in LA traffic on the way to Disneyland! My annual trip is coming fast.

Ooh, that'll be fun. Why not stay in Anaheim for your DL trip? If you could afford to stay at the Grand Californian, it is worth it because it's a) a very nice hotel and b) it literally empties out in the California Adventure park and is an easy walk from the DL gates as well.

I am staying in Anaheim but I have to drive to get there! We leave early Wednesday morning and get to the park by 1 ish. We are staying at the Hilton because I got a great rate there. They have a shuttle and it works well. We've stayed there the last few years. We've got two nights which gives us one full day and two partial days at the parks.

Am I the only one who has never been to DisneyLand? Maybe one day I'll make it out to sunny California. Susan I didn't realize your trip was fast approaching. Where's you ticker?

Ha! I have an imaginary ticker! (I'm still in time out. . .)

Susan I keep forgetting about that. Just how long do they have you in jail anyway? It seems like it's been quite a while already.

Today I'm going on a field trip with Colin's class. We are going to Young Chef's Academy. What tasty treats will they be making today?

I don't know yet because the field trip is today.

Tricia, that sounds like a fun school trip. I hope the kids bring home something good.

I woke up early because my security system started beeping (low battery). By the time I figured out what was wrong I was wide awake.

 

[Grumpy's Wife]

The kids made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins which were delicious and lite pizza that wasn't so good. I'm not a fan of pumpkin but the muffins didn't taste like pumpkin at all. They were very moist and chocolately. The pizza on the other hand was left to be desired. The crust was made with only egg whites hence the "lite" in the pizza. That was not so good.

Grim can pay for us all to stay at the Grand Californian. Right Grim?

At this point, I can't even pay for one flight ticket to get out there, much less stay at the GC. I'll just have to remember our 2006 trip for a while.

So, Susan, why did you get in trouble? I don't think you ever told me.

Oh, it's a long convoluted affair Grim. I'd send you a PM if I could. Actually, you could pm Tricia or Joanne and get my e-mail address from them and then e-mail me your e-mail address and then I could tell you. Did that make sense?

Basically I asked the wrong question at the wrong time because I was upset and the mods were upset and I got in trouble.

I have to take Gracie to the groomers to get all pretty then a trip to Wal Mart for groceries. So exciting huh?

We've got trouble today. There is a HUGE fire burning in Santa Barbara, and it destroyed some buildings on the campus of the college I attended.

We also have a brush fire here locally and they have started evacuating homes. It's really bad.
