Hey everyone. It was a pretty good, and mercifully quiet, weekend here. We took our DD's out on Friday night. Our 9 YO dressed as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and our 5 YO dressed as a witch. I went as my forementioned costume. No one really got it. They just talked about how lame a Bengals jersey is these days, not noting the "Winner" sign I had draped over the jersey. Oh well. It turns out they actually did beat Jacksonville yesterday, so maybe they are winners for a week or so now.
We have a farm around here that features a corn maze, or maize maze, if you will. The farm closed last weekend (it's a place that features the maze, a huge pumpkin patch, petting zoo, picnic areas, etc.), and we went on the very last day it was open. It's become a bit of a tourist attraction, so it was pretty packed. It wasn't quite "Disney crowded", but I was still having visions of screaming Brazilian tour groups as I was trying to get out in nature and grab a good Jack O Lantern pumpkin.
When the crowds cleared out later in the afternoon, I braved the maize maze with my DD's and some of their friends. We got separated. I have to admit I was quite frightened trying to find them, to no avail, and not even hearing them anywhere. I walked all the way through the thing (it's carved into the shape of a bear) a couple of times shouting for them until I gave up and walked out of it. It turns out they had walked about 50 feet in, turned around and walked out of it, while I was searching for them. Talk about "Children of the Corn".

But those corn stalks were probably about 10 feet high, and there was no seeing anything except the path. Next time I fly, I'm going to fly over that maze and try to learn it better before going through there again with a bunch of quick-footed kids.
