Chick fil A chicken and biscuit with Hash browns

I've only had the chicken biscuit and haven't tried the new one because I decided I really don't like chicken for breakfast!

My son is now working for them so I hear all the "secrets.":)

That chicken, egg, and cheese multigrain bagel is where it's at. Trust me. It'll keep you full until 2pm.

Sadly, I live in a Chickfila-free zone. So sad because other than Arby's, it's the only fast food that appeals to me.

We have several Chick Fil A's in our area, and near lunch time the lines are usually out in the street!! DH loves them and the fries, but I don't care for the fries at all. The sandwiches are very good, but not extra special to me.

I worked at a Chick-fil-A in high school many, many years ago. I loved it, even though I had to wear an ugly striped apron and bow tie, and a paper hat! We got to eat whatever we wanted when we were on break, we didn't have to work on Sundays, we pretty much all got $2,000 scholarships, and the boss would take us on outings (pro sports, whitewater rafting, etc). I also got to dress up as "Doodles" the chicken and give out samples...

We love it!!! When I was working for the mouse, my roommate and I would go there regularly and sadly I went over a decade until they brought one up here! Every year I would go to Florida, I had to carve out time to eat at the CFA in the airport :) LOL

I've tried it a few times and it was OK. I don't quite understand people talking about it like it's an orgasmic experience. It was a chicken sandwich.

Now the Cubano especial sandwich I had at Luis Galindo's Latin American Cafeteria #2 in the Miami area was the absolute best sandwich I've ever had. Nothing even comes close.

I only ate there once. I really did not like it. My DH likes the food, which is fine. Maybe I should give it one more try.

The sauces were pretty good, but I don't get what the deal is supposed to be about the chicken.

Chick fil A is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I tried this burger place that rhymes with Spin N Shout. The meal was free since I had won a $15 gift card as a door prize. Burger was bland and the fries were even blander. That was my FAST (First and Last) time ever eating at that place.

The next time I have a severely upset stomach and can only eat bland food, I now have a go-to place. So there's that I guess.

Love me some chick fil a :). We live in Georgia, the home of chick fil a, so we have always had them. We eat there every week - we have one about two minutes from our house. I could eat there multiple times per week, but have to watch myself. It can be addicting.

Since we have always had them, it is funny to me to see other people's reaction to trying it for the first time.

A few years back, we were in Ohio to visit cedar point. They had just opened a chick fil a. The workers were so excited when we ordered. They were telling me all the menu items I needed to try and how delicious they were. I just smiled and agreed, telling them that we had always eaten at chick fil a and they were correct. It is all delicious!

Well, the food is good, but beyond that, let's compare. It is fast food after all, and what else is fast food? McD's, Burger King, Wendy's, Sonic, etc....99% of those restaurants I've been in have a 75% chance of being less than clean, workers tend to not be very friendly (as in not even saying hello, just take the order, pass you on down the line), pretty sterile "fast food" looking in decor and, in my case at least, centers for gastro distress. Compare to the Chic-fil-A. I've never seen it less than clean, it's decorated more homey-restaurant than sterile fast food decor, nice music in the background-flowers on the table etc.., workers are alwaysy super nice and smiling, they BRING your food to the table and I've never had a belly ache after eating there. So, yeah, it's awesome!

I could devour something like that for a once in a while cheat meal, but honestly the first thing I think of is all the carbs...ugh.

It is primarily made of:

Carbs
Calories
Fat

What is your point?

:flower1:

Wallingford, Enfield and Danbury have Chick fil A restaurants.

I am on the 95 corridor, east of New Haven, so Danbury and Enfield are totally out. Never go into either of those towns, or even near there. Wallingford is the closest, but again, we just never find ourselves up in that area. If we do though, we will have to try them. Or the coming one at Mohegan, which ever comes first.

LOVE a Chicken biscuit for breakfast. You can not find that anywhere up here. I wish I had one close by just for that. Okay, probably a good idea there isn't one close. I can totally see myself stopping by on the way to work at least a couple days a week.

I am having a hard time getting going this morning and for the life of me I can not figure out what the name of the burger place is that you are referencing. Someone help me, please!! :headache:

In n Out, I think but we don't have them in my area (New Jersey)
That would make perfect sense. DUH!! :smooth: Heard a lot of good things about them also, but like you, we don't have them. :guilty:

That's the place. Maybe it was an atypical experience, but it was not impressive. Whataburger and Freddy's are much better in my opinion.

I don't get the "food that will change your life" spin on Chick Fil A either. I mean, I go there often enough and for fast-food chicken sandwiches, I do think they are the best. My favorite is the chicken strips. But as another poster said, it is just chicken. The fries are just so-so most of the time.

What keeps me coming back is:
Food is ALWAYS freshly prepared.
Staff is super polite and friendly.
Every restaurant I've been to is well-staffed so you are never waiting long.
Restaurants are always clean, even in the middle of a lunch rush.

I also think that for fast-food, they offer the best quality soup and salad meal anywhere. I've not had the larger, high calorie salads but the market salad is decent as is the side garden salad.

I love a good Chick Fil A sandwich, but their biscuits don't do it for me. Too sweet or something, i cant' quite place it. I'd rather have chicken biscuit from almost anywhere else. Mrs Winners was my favorite, but they barely have any locations anymore.

The hashbrowns are good though, hard to mess up a fried potato IMHO
