Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

She got the Bella Vita tattoo when her kid was DEAD.

Yeah, I know ... I just put it into "timeline" context. At that point, the tattoo artist and general public thought the child was "missing". That's why I put it that way. Either way ... if you were the tattoo artist and you knew the kid was missing wouldn't you be wondering why the h-e-double-hockey-sticks Mom was getting that kind of tattoo!?

Oh yes, I do believe it's way deliberate. ;) She just gets so mad that she throws that up to show to show whoever is testifying just what she thinks of them. And it's held until it's so obvious too :upsidedow

She also did it in April's hearings (if I remember right it was in answer to something said by the prosecutor) and Jose got a real kick out of it (then he stuck his tongue out at the camera!)

Kind of like Lindsay Lohan spelling out the F word on her fingernails during her trial then holding those up all innocently...wha? Oh I forgot I had that on them :rolleyes1

But then again, what can you expect when her attorney does the same thing to the prosecutor (during the April pre-trial session) as reported by WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer:

Sheaffer even saw defense attorney Cheney Mason make a vulgar gesture toward the prosecutor with his arms.
"I've not seen anything like this in the 33, 35 years that I've been practicing law," Sheaffer said

(During that same hearing Defense attorney Cheney Mason even threatened prosecutor Jeff Ashton. After the two traded accusations of inappropriate behavior during the deposition, things got more heated and Mason threatened: "Don't get out of line with me, because I will take you, and you know I will.")
UNbelievable!!!

So that made me want to google "Cheney Mason Jeff Ashton confrontation" and I got this, from 4/15/11 (there are 4 videos...I'm going to watch them all at some point):
http://www.wftv.com/video/27561873/index.html

Start at about 3:45. At about 4:35, Mason says "We can live without you" and then repeated it. What a slimy creep that man is.

No one knew at that point that Caylee was missing or dead.

No one knew at that point that Caylee was missing or dead.

Ahhh ... I thought it was after she was announced as missing. Thanks for clarifying. I knew that she was missing at that point and I had (wrongfully) thought that the public was aware that the child was missing.

Interesting article from 12/12/08, the day after Caylee's body was found. Cheney Mason was interviewed and this was BEFORE he was involved in the defense:

Here's the Mason part:
Experts Discuss Discovery Of Remains

Pipitone also discussed the finding with a former prosecutor and a defense attorney, and the impact the discovery could have on the Casey Anthony case.

...

Defense attorney Cheney Mason said claims made by Casey Anthony and Baez that Caylee was alive will now work against them at trial.

"Then all the talking, all the press interviews and the parents going on this show and that show and the lawyer going on different shows establishes they have no credibility whatsoever," Mason said.

...

If the case plays out how many think, the experts agree on what will likely happen.

"You can pretty well predict there's going to be a life sentence, either a plea and get it over with or have a circus trial and then be convicted and get life," Mason said.

I missed pretty much the whole day, which I guess wasn't all that much. But right now I am watching HLN with Vinnie Politan, and something I just heard has me so ticked off that I had to come here to vent and see if I'm right or wrong. A viewer called or emailed and asked if it was even possible for a 2 year old to climb the pool ladder, and wondered if the prosecution had looked into that. Vinnie went to Jean Casarez, who said that yes, it was possible. How did she know that? Jean said that Cindy testified in court that she would get into the pool first, and then Caylee would climb up and Cindy would take her into the water. That is NOT the way I remember Cindy testifying. Did she not say that she went up the ladder WITH Caylee (I assume putting her onto each step) and then sat Caylee on the platform. Then she (Cindy) continued up the ladder and into the pool, where Caylee then jumped to her or Cindy picked her up. Gee, I sure hope the jury is paying closer attention. :sad2: Or is Jean correct and I'm out to lunch?

Just remembered this laugh from Saturday:

During cross-examination of prosecution witness Neal Haskell, an expert in forensic entomology from Saint Joseph’s College in Indiana, Mr Baez attempted to discredit the fly evidence by revealing to the court that Dr Haskell had been paid $20,000 by the state for working on the case.

But in an embarrassing blow, Dr Haskell told the court that Mr Baez had also consulted him as an expert at one point and still owed him money.

Mr Baez said: 'The check is in the mail"

Got'cha!
:rotfl:

It stands to reason if Casey is a sociopath, then she never truly cared about Caylee. Those photos that were linked yesterday that were supposed to be proof that she once was a good mother, seem to be more because she liked the positive attention when Caylee was a baby and young toddler. Main focus is her mugging for the camera with many of the same looks. None of them like they were taken spur of the moment and genuine to me.

Also many of the people she hung out with knew Caylee since she was a baby and accepted her. Maybe this new group of people and men she happened to be hanging with didn't?

Do you think that Casey was sexually abused that perhaps caused this behavior? And if so, from who?

Has using a polygraph on Casey ever been brought up, or do you think it hasn't been mentioned since everything would be 'fail!'

Yup. :thumbsup2

After this is over, I'd give anything to have a dinner party with HHJP, LDB, Dr. Vass, Dr. Haskell & Yuri Melich to discuss their true thoughts.

My thread about my "stupid" son who got his car towed last night. Just a step below Casey Anthony, that boy! ;).

Well I hope you checked the trunk after the car was brought home from the tow yard....no weird smells in there :scared1: ;)

Wouldn't THAT be fun!!:worship:

I just don't get the whole Kronk thing. Creepy guy? Yep! Killed Caylee? NOOOOO! Baez has already told us that she died accidentally. The state had many experts testify that roots were growing through the skull so the remains hadn't been moved. But even if they were, so what? Again, creepy guy? Yes. But why would it make any difference? Isn't Baez suppose to show us some evidence that Casey was sexually abused and that caused her erratic behavior? Instead, Baez will spend an excessive amount of time telling us that Kronk was in this for the money. Who cares? He didn't murder Caylee and he wasn't there when she "accidentally drown."

I saw Kronk in my local grocery store a few months ago and I kind of felt sorry for him. Yes, he is UBER CREEPY in person. He was walking around the deli area carrying a motorcycle helmet and just looking around. Then people started pointing and looking  , so he grabbed what he needed and left quickly. I'd imagine he gets that most places he goes.
