Can't pay balance on AP best rate program until checkin

I just got off the phone with Disney. I wanted to pay off the balances on our vacation reservations so I didn't have to worry about it. I know some people don't understand way people pay in advance, but I really like to. Makes me feel more at ease. Anyway, the CM tried to do a payment and the computer wouldn't let her. She put me on hold, called another office, came back and told me with the best rate program you can't pay ahead of time. I'm not terribly upset, just mildly disappointed.

That seems odd that Disney won't take your money, LOL!

I'd check back on Monday with a different CM.

No payments inbetween.

Put the money in a savings account instead and draw some interest before your trip.

We've run into this problem. I like to have as much paid for ahead of time.

That is exactly what we do, we have a Vacation Savings account.

Me too. Set up an automatic withdrawal from my checking to my savings for twice a month. The money in the savings goes towards paying for the trip. This way, I can either pay some each month (have a package through AAA) or leave it all in savings, then withdraw at the 45 day mark to pay off the trip.

I was wondering the same thing, I like to pay off the room with my Disney Visa, then I have the points to use when I get there. This past trip I had to wait until we arrived, so I have the points for my next trip..but its nice to have a few extra points
