If you have enough points for your reservation, and the 120 is enough for the entire reservation for your friends, an alternative may be for you to simply rent a reservation from another member without doing an actual transfer. The downside is that the other
DVC member retains control of the ressie, and you can not call Member Services to confirm or add ME or
DDp to the reservation, or change dates if necessary.
Either way, it is certainly generous of you to consider spemding upwards of $1200 to get a room for your friends...points usually go for $10 to $12 per points for both reservation rentals and transfers.
Remember that either transaction is a private agreement between you and another DVC member. If something goes sour, neither DVC nor Disney will become involved. These transactions involve trust on both sides.
Transfers can not be reversed, so any member would probably want a substantial portion of the payment before initiating a transfer...on the other hand, you could give them $$ and they not complete the transfer..so be sure you have verifiable contact info, names, phone numbers, street address, etc.
