I know, I'm the only one who likes hard boiled eggs but there is no way I can eat 4 dozen!!! Luckily, with hosting Easter this year, I'm hoping to pawn off some on other people, so we end up throwing out less.
Anyone have any leads on jobs for a PC Technician/Network person? He has A+, MCSE certifications plus has been doing this since geez, forever.
DH got a call Friday night about an hour after he got home to not come into work on Monday. So, he's looking for a job. *sigh* Here we go again!!! He got laid off in 2003 from a job he had almost 10 years due to work slow down (or "you are older & making too much money target"
as he was grandfathered in & above the maximum he could make). He did get a good recommendation from his supervisor, etc...
This job was through Manpower but was temp to hire. They had been telling him since Nov/Dec that they were planning on hiring him on full-time. Hmm...guess not.
So, we have no income at the moment. So, not fun. You would have thought they could have let him know before he walked out the door on Friday, instead of waiting to drop it on him via a phone call and then it ended up being on voicemail no less.
that is just awful he got the call after he left work.

Brian's gf is *awake*!
She is now in the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, and is having physical therapy, and seems to be responding very well. Thank you all for your continued thoughts & prayers...prayers really do work!
Christopher LOVES his new job! I just hate that he is so far away...it's Reno, Nevada, not Las Vegas. But, the other day he told me he is "living his dream"! and I am so happy for him!
I hope everyone gets to enjoy a very nice holiday with friends and family this weekend!

I did have something sad happen this Easter - STephanie told me that a classmate told her that the Easter Bunny isn't real, and she said that she believes him - she then asked me if it was true. I told her that he was right, and that it was Kevin and I (this really killed me to admit too). I told her that now she can have a lot of fun pretending with us for Katie's sake. She looked really disappointed, but happy that I admitted to it. I know she's growing up, but her knowing about the Easter Bunny did make me sad
i just hate that when other kids burst our kids bubble.
let them be children for as long as they can before they have to face the realities of the world we live in.
for me, my middle son was going into 6th grade and i felt compelled to tell him about santa claus and easter bunny.
he truly believed at the age of 11........
he cried so hard when i told him. i didn't regret it as he was constantly being teased at school for believing in sc and eb.
i was concerned he would get into a fight over it and start to wonder if we, the parents, were telling him lies.
if he believed us about sc and eb, would he doubt our guidance of him in his later years? mr mac and i decided it was time to let him know the magic had an ending.
i still do baskets for my grown boys......
My Mom could use some good thoughts/prayers/whatever. Just got a call from my sister that she has been admitted to the hospital for fever and low white blood cell count. She had her first session of chemo on Wednesday, and I guess this is a complication. I was/am too much in shock to have asked any questions so I don't know much else. I am so worried and I just don't know what to do.

Johnney Depp has been filming in Crown Point, which is very close to my town - there has been quite the buzz about it around here. Kevin was hoping to see him sometime while he's around, because he really want my Pirates poster autographed. But with Kevin's work schedule, I don't think he's going to get it.

Just read a thread that said that the pool at Fort Wilderness is finally going under a rehab and will be more themed now with a slide and kids play area instead of just being a pain pool like it is now!!
People have been begging for that change forever!
If any of you haven't stayed at the Fort yet, I highly recommend it for families! So much fun there!!! And the food is good too!

Not been here in a few days.
My kids were on Spring break this past week. We(kids and I) stayed home the majority of the time b/c Chrissy had the stomach flu for a few days. DH had to be at work all week. Chrissy finally seems to be doing better now.

i have a really REALLY stupid question that i just thought of! I have been assuming that our park passes will be at the resort when we check in but now that it is getting closer I'm freaking out that I might be wrong. We booked through Disney. I have all our flight info. and the magical express info. but they haven't sent any tickets for the parks.... am I just being paranoid or should I call them?
