My Mom could use some good thoughts/prayers/whatever. Just got a call from my sister that she has been admitted to the hospital for fever and low white blood cell count. She had her first session of chemo on Wednesday, and I guess this is a complication. I was/am too much in shock to have asked any questions so I don't know much else. I am so worried and I just don't know what to do.

Umm...I know Eyeore is my favorite Disney character but can someone please tell me where I can send him along with Murphy's Law?????

It's another "if I weren't living this I wouldn't believe it"....with the wind that is happening today, part of our siding just fell off our house! Unbelievable!!!

I already put a call into the insurance company and I know this will be covered except our $500 deductible but GEESH!!!!!!

The only good thing that came out of it was I was feeling like I was hallucinating. I'm not feeling all that good today but I could have sworn someone was whacking the house with something. I kept going downstairs to see what in the world DH and/or the kids were doing making such a ruckus. They were all just sitting there watching TV/being on the computer. They were thinking I was losing it with saying it sounds like someone is banging on the house with something as it's LOUD and sounds like the house is going to fall apart...until as I come up the stairs I SEE a shingle? What is one plank/piece of siding called anyway? falling from the sky out the back window. Call DH up and there are 2 more pieces just hanging on by a thread. At least that explains the banging.

OK, then maybe that is #3 thing and we are now done with the bad things!!!

I think it's time for me to go back to bed and just stay there until everything is over with. LOL!!!

Bunchkin - I called Stephanie last night to say "goodnight" and she seems to be having a very nice time. They are going to the mall tomorrow, and Stephanie has her wallet with her. Apparently she's going to buy a new Build-A-Bear, which I'm not to happy about, because than Katie is going to have a fit, when she comes home with it. Katie's not going to understand that Stephanie used her own money, and that Stephanie isn't obligated to buy her one too. Oh well, I'm glad she warned me ahead of time so I can prepare myself

DG - Good luck with your itinerary I love making them, and I'm looking forward to making mine for October, but I'm waiting for the October schedule to post, and for the dates for MNSSHP to post. When I have those, I can create

piglet - I am so sorry to hear about your mom I wish I could give some advice, but I have never experienced this with someone close to me. All I can say is that we are hear for you when you need us I will also keep your mom in my thoughts and prayers Please keep us updated on how she is doing.

Becky - I'm sorry about the siding and I'm sorry you're not feeling well I hope you are able to get the housed fixed quick, and I hope you feel better soon


Well, I gotta run and get ready for work. We are leaving kinda early today, because I need to go pick up items for a corporate client, and then take Katie to daycare.

Hey, I forgot to mention that my employee shook Johnney Depps hand yesterday. When she got to work she was beaming

Johnney Depp has been filming in Crown Point, which is very close to my town - there has been quite the buzz about it around here. Kevin was hoping to see him sometime while he's around, because he really want my Pirates poster autographed. But with Kevin's work schedule, I don't think he's going to get it.

Wow! Let me tell you, I had a crazy morning. I woke up a little late then had to rush to catch the earlier train b/c I need to leave work early tomorrow and am trying to make up some of my hours. So I make the train and realize not only did I forget my work keys at home, I forgot my train pass!!! Fortunately, the conductor was very nice and recognized I'm a constant rider. I just need to show him my pass tomorrow!


Slo~ thanks for the luck on the itinerary! I am so jealous of your friend! I'm a big Johnny Depp fan (but then again who isn't??) I wonder how long he'll be in the area? I hear he's playing John Dillinger (the mobster) I'm just excited that someone I know, knows someone who's met him have a good day!

piglet ~ sorry to hear about your mom. she's in my thoughts and prayers! I do know how hard and scary it can be.

piglet - I'm keeping a good thought for your mom.

Becky - sorry about your siding, but good that insurance will cover it! We had our roof evaluated for hail damage and called our ins. company, but they said it had been over a year (by 9 days!) so they wouldn't cover it. Here's hoping for another hailstorm or another year with a solid roof.

slo - Johnny Depp is also supposed to come to my town in April to film part of Public Enemies, an upcoming film about John Dillinger. We have a great historic theatre that is going to stand in for the Biograph.

disneygal - I've forgotten my train pass before, too, only I was riding at night so the conductor didn't recognize me. He let me ride, though. Once I got to Union Station I ran to the ATM for cash and managed to find him in the crowd. I tried to pay for a one-way ticket but he waved me off. He said my honesty paid for the train ride. Good thing I'm honest.

Speaking of itineraries, I finished up the last of the details on mine yesterday. Now I have to try to leave it alone until we leave - fat chance of that! I am a consummate planner and since this trip is so different than the last ones (not camping, child in tow), I've had to plan like it's my first time at WDW. I hope I did a good job. Maybe I'll just take another look at that itinerary again ....hope everyone has a good day!

Slo, is Johnnie still going to be in Crown Point the rest of this week? I think I feel the need for a road trip tomorrow. Sorry to hear Steph has found out. I am pretty sure Kellie puts on a good act, but has no belief whatsoever. She would never want to give up the goods.
Bunchkin, it was great to see you yesterday. Kids had a great time bouncing. We were disappointed that we didn't see you at the Shedd today. Kyle kept a keen eye out for Hunter. That place was packed worse than I had ever seen it before. I could not believe the line of people waiting to get in when we were leaving. I started to wonder if we were leaving before a great event was beginning. It was more crowded there than WDW has ever been for me. (of course there is more room to move to in WDW) Lunch was a nightmare. No place to sit for 10 minutes. Thankfully, we had just beat the rush in, and the line to the food court was short when we arrived. It was up the stairs and out the door by the time we finished eating.
Well, I am off to browse other threads and then to get the kids to bed. They are watching some Leprachaun movie on the Disney Channel. When that is over, it's off they go. I can't believe they aren't ready to fall over after all the walking I had them do today. We walked from the Shedd to the Lego store, the Disney store and then back to Randolph Street to catch the train home. I told them it was training for WDW.

I slept in a little today, which is always nice, but it's always harder for me to get going - why is that???? Having Stephanie on Spring Break has been so nice!! I love not having to rush her out of the house, I love not having to worry about homework, I love not having to worry about bedtime, it's been a nice break for both of us


DG - I hope this morning was a lot less hectic than yesterday morning

Zero - It'll be cool when Johnney comes to your town. Are you going to try and see him? If I didn't have to work, I would try and go see him, but with the store, it's impossible for me to get out there.
**I dwell on my itinierary until the day we leave on vacation. I always swear I'm not going to change something, and then I always do I think we all need some type of support group

piglet - Kevin was telling me about how the Johnney Depp movie needs extras - that would be so cool to be an extra, and say you were in a movie

good morning all! This morning went much smoother for me! I even caught the train 2 ahead of my normal train, which is very unusual! (and I remembered everything today!) Leaving work at noon to get back to Tinley by 1:30 so I can make it to an appointment in time. Hopefully it wont take too long and I can enjoy a relaxing afternoon!

Zero ~ I've changed my itinerary so many times in the past month the BF must think I'm crazy. He tells me, "plan whatever you want to do. I'm flexible. if I don't like something then I'll wait for you to finish. it's vacation, Relax!" So... I planned! my sister is proofing it now to make sure I didn't leave anything out! She's amazing with these sort of things, she should have been an event planner!

Slo ~ I'm always more tired when I sleep in, especially on the weekends. I don't set the alarm and just let myself wake up naturally! It seems to work the best!

Piglet ~ Glad to hear you mom is doing better! hopefully she'll be able to go home soon! I'm thinking good thoughts!

It's raining here a little bit.

Tiggerrn Sorry to have missed you too! Drat! The kids were keeping an eye out for you guys. And as you know cell phones don't work the best inside the Shedd. We saw that big crowd in the food court! Yikes!! After the 11:30 dolphin show we tried to get a table in there to eat! HAHAHAAA!! Not happening!! So we ended up at a table near the tanks downstairs. It actually worked out great!! We had a great view of the dolphins playing with a soccor ball!!! Cool!!!
Next time we plan a time to meet.....outside before we get in there....and not during a school hoiday!!!!! The crows were just crazy! But we had a great time. And the kids even got an up front seat for an animal encounter! And then by chance ran into another one shortly afterwards.
The best part was we left the store without buying anything!!! You should have seen the crowds still in line when we left!




slo What kind of Build A Bear did Steph get? Do you guys get the coupons from them?
That's so neat your employee got to meet Johnny Depp!! HUBBA HUBBA!!!

We've got the whole combo thing going here with the weather...rain, snow, sleet, all the yucky stuff!!!

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts & prayers for Brian's gf. Everyone is very happy with her progress, but know there is a long road ahead. We are all so grateful for how far she has come in such a short time!

Slo..glad to hear you are enjoying spring break! That week off can be refreshing. And, I'm jealous of the person who got to meet Johnny Depp...WOW!

Speaking of jealous, I envy all of you who are planning trips right now, and hope you all will share every little detail of your planning here, so we can all experience the trip vicariously!
