Calling all 15 lb clippies!

Welcome to our group ohiominnie! Just wondering, how do you like the plan you are following? I don't know anything about it.

I love my plan! :) It's a Christian based program with simple guidelines....basicallly, God gave your body signals for hunger (growling) and satisfied (not stuffed and bulging) By following those signals you are obeying God's design for your body and weight loss naturally falls into place. I also love it because it's more than a weight loss plan.....it really is a relationship with God, and constant reminders that He's there for you at all times (instead of running to the fridge to feed your depression, boredom, or lonliness, you should run to God to fill you)

Of course, it's very freeing to be able to eat ANYTHING that God put on earth. I can have food from every food group. I can eat bread for every meal, if I wanted, as long as I was hungry when I ate it and stopped when I was satisfied. Actually, in one of the videos the leader brings up the fact that you may want a hot fudge sundae for every meal ...and that's ok, NO food is off limits, but chances are, that won't last too many meals....your body will call for something else. I eat very little food now (1/2 to 1/3 of what I was eating) and everything is "normal" food--not diet or altered in any way.

It's changing my life in more ways that just plain weight loss! :)

Right now I'm about 1lb away from the 20 lb club. I'm sticking to my Atkins plan & Rajah's exercise challenge so I can move on up th my next clippie.

I've developed a great support group of Atkins dieters at work. They really help to keep me on target.

What are you doing to help you stay on plan?
 
HI everyone!

OhioMinnie, I just wanted to let you know that I know someone who I used to work with who did the WeighDown Workshop through her church. She did wonderfully! I think she lost upward of 80lbs and she has kept it off for several years (I last saw her 6 months ago, and she still looked great!) I think it is a true show of character to follow a plan that has faith as your guideline, along with common sense! Congrats on 15lbs!

To imgoingtodisney, I congratulate you on 15lbs AND on having your goal in sight---soon you can have that pretty red clippie! Welcome!

And to Clair4dPins, I am so glad you made it this far! Induction can be tough, but it sure does get easier when you stick with it! I am starting my 6th week of Atkins and just now moving to OWL (Ongoing Weight Loss), adding 5 carbs per day. I am not sure if I will stay here or go back to Induction, but I felt I needed a bit of a change. Welcome to the 15lb clippie club!

Hope you guys get OUT soon! I hear the 20lb clippie club calling all our names! Here is to a great weekend for us all (and keep your fingers crossed for me--I have a HUGE pig roast on Saturday!)

Mom2Princesses - I plan on sticking with induction up to my trip to WDW so at least for the next five weeks!! I with think how to tackle the WDW time when it gets nearer!! Good luck with OWL - how it is going well for you.

perfectmatch300 - I don't expect you will be here for much longer - hope your next pound is melting away so that you can claim your lovely new clippie. My biggest two motivating factors are - my upcoming trip to WDW - I really wanted to be a bit smaller by then! Also the fact that my DH is doing Atkins with me - though he does not have very much to loose compared with me.
Bet you workmates are a great support.

Hope everyone is doing well today and hopefully heading towards the 20lb clippie!!

How often do you all weigh yourselves? I am trying to stick to once a week - but have been almost everyday hoping to see progress on induction!!

Hello everyone. I'm now in the 15lb clippie club!!!! I'll probably be here for a while especially since I'm heading out to WDW tomorrow. But I'll get plenty of walking in. I'll see you all when I get back.

To answer your question, Claire, I'm one of those who weighs in frequently. I expect little ups & downs so when that happens it doesn't upset me, it just keeps me more motivated to stay on plan. I don't claim a loss till I see it consistently & know that it really is a loss because I don't want to ever have to give back a loss! :earseek: I work too hard for those losses! I'm hoping to be able to move on to the 20lb club by my official weigh in on Monday. Now if I can just stay on plan for the rest of the weekend it should happen! :teeth:

I'm moving on to the 20lb clippie thread - that is if I can find it! I'll be saving a place for all of you there, & I'm hoping you will join me soon! In the meantime, I'm counting on you to keep this thread going for those 10 lb clippie people who are waiting to join you here.

Stick with your eating plan, exrecise, & drink your water. I'll be looking for you on the 20 lb thread soon! :sunny:

I am sticking to the program but can't help but wish for bigger losses!!

Well, we'll see on Thursday with weigh in. I will admit that a trip to the Ohio State Fair caused me to go outside of my hungry/satisfied paramaters. There was just SOMETHING about that "deep fried Twinkie" that made it irresistable. Add that to bites of my dh's Italian sausage sandwich (at least I didn't eat my own!), lemonade shake up, corn, French waffle, dippin' dots, fries.....
Oh, that is SUCH an ugly list! All foods that are legal in my plan, but just way too much in the quantity dept!

I set the restart button immediately and started over! I'm now back on track and we'll see if by Thursday I can still at least maintain!
 
Hi 15lb clippie people,

Hope you are all doing great this week! Hope you are sticking to your plans and feeling good!

I am quite happy this morning to find that I am half way towards the 20lb clippie - come on that other 2.5lb off you fly!!

It is my wedding anniversay today - and I am feeling pleased with the fact that I am going to stick to steak & salad (with water!!) for the celebration dinner tonight. It sure helps that hubby is doing Atkins too!

Well, fill me in on how you are all doing - please!

I am having a good week, went to the beach yesterday and packed accordingly, it was such a beautiful day too! I weighed in yesterday and am down another pound--makes it 17lbs total. I am hoping to get to the 20lb club within 3 weeks--maybe sooner if I can buckle down on my water intake, I seem to be messing it up lately!

I have avoided checking in here - cause I have been in 15# land for an embarrassingly long time - made even worse by the fact that I was not off plan (for most of it!) Well, I am currently finally being blessed by Miss Whoosh and as of yesterday I have only .5 left to go till my 20# so . . . (of course it could take another 6 weeks to lose that .5) I'm hoping my stay here is very very short! Not only will that .5 et me my 20# clippie - it will also get me into the 140's for the first time in probably 8 years!

Nancy - thanks for the congratulations - and I am glad you are having a good week too! The idea of the beach is very appealing - I don't think I have actually been to the beach for a couple of years - that is bad!! Of course here in the UK we don't usually get the weather for it - but this summer - as hot as Florida - so I have no excuses!! I have read your diet dairy Nancy - I just wish I could get comitted to exercise like you seem to be - well done you!! I have found the diary interesting as I am in my third week of Atkins - I am still doing induction and plan to for at least another week or so.

Karyn - congratulations on only having half a pound to go to the next clippie - you can do it - your body is just being kind of stubbon I guess - I am sending you all the postive thoughts I can that you will soon be leaving this thread and the half pound will just be a memory!

I am doing OK - just a little fed up of eggs really - trying to drink more water - but I find it difficult to get more than 8 glasses down!!
Any good or bad points for anyone else this week?

It took 41 days!!! But, I'm finally taking a walk! Sorry friends, I just can't stay here any longer!

41 days and the kicker is that the last lbs came off in the last 9 days!!!!

Finally I am able to update my clippie! Woohoo!!! :) :) :)

I've been fighting those last 2 pounds for weeks. They finally wooshed right away. :)

Hope everyone is doing well at the moment - I have had an OK couple of days - went to eat Sunday lunch with my parents yesterday - and my Mum had stuck to things that were allowed on inductuion for us - also she and Dad did not have a dessert so DH and I would not feel bad or miss out! We all had a little cheese to finish the meal.

Heres to us all loosing this week - weigh in for me tomorrow,

Just dropping a Hello to all my fellow 15lb Clippies! Hope your weekends were okay, I did good-but not great! I just recently started eating fruit again and I have come to believe that it is just too much temptation for me! I made a huge yummy fruit salad for the company we had Saturday night and I just could NOT stop eating it. And yesterday we went to a birthday (adult) party and there was also a fruit salad there. Once again, I kept sneaking pieces of watermelon etc. I am soooo good at saying no to something when it is not in my face, but boy, when it is right in front of me I have zero will power! Anyway, at least it wasn't chocolate donuts, right?

Congrats to Karyn, see you in the 20lb clippie group soon!

Can i join you all? As of this morning, i have 16 pounds off on the Atkins - i feel good, no i feel great!!! I have convinced myself that i will have 20 pounds off by the time school begins the day after Labor Day- and i will not buy new clothes just yet ... Thanks to you all for some great motivation and support. I can do it!!!!!
