Called about room only codes anyone can use...

I got the same rate from a CM as Tink2 on 8/6 for POFQ but did not have everyone on board to book and when I called back the other CM did not know of it. Right now we have the Visa Dreammaker package but I will switch to room only and PHers if the $84+tax rate comes out.

If I already have a room booked with an AP rate, can I switch it over to a room only rate, if they come out?

I haven't purchased my AP yet and if I can get a comparable rate with room only, then I would just do that.

Mercy--

Yes you can. In fact I am considering not renewing my AP if a room only code comes out, I am not sure we are going to get back again this year, so an AP would only benefit me THIS trip.

All you need to do is call in and tell them you want to apply the new code to your existing ressie. I have done it before in the past.

hulabird...

Thanks, I am only getting the AP for the discount, I really don't think we'll be going back within a year. I'm thinking about getting the FITS passes for the rest of the family, so I would get one too then if I don't need the AP.

Called 5/9 at 7 a.m.; no new room codes. "Norman" seems to think that they will not add any new code deals until the 5 +2 package deadline has expired (end of June  ) Let's hope not!

catnik, that doesn't sound too good:mad: I can see that your time is running out soon. Hope they come before your departure. With that time-frame in mind, we still have a little time left to grab it.

Sending some pixie dust your way in hopes they come out soon:wizard:

I already have 5 days booked for Swan.....and I am waiting for these new codes to come out to perhaps switch to Wilderness lodge or AKL......what do you think???

I am content with staying at the Swan because I've only stayed at the dolphin before and this was four long years ago....but I would like to know what everyone else thinks......rates aside.:D

I will wait and see what happens. I booked at the AP rate, I haven't renewed my AP yet, and if a room only code comes out I will not renew it. If it doesn't I will just buy my AP (start a new one) at the Earport in the airport when we arrive.

Hi. I've been lurking a little, thinking about a 2005 summer trip and starting to look out for tips on resort discounts. I was just wondering what "AP" is.

Thanks for all the great tips....keep up the good work, I'm getting some great ideas!!

AP = Annual Pass....

imagine going to Disney as many times a year as you want, with some awesome discounts!! The cost is somewhere around $500 - 600 per pass.. but if you travel to Disney often, or stay for more than 7 days on one trip, the pass will mostlikely pay for itself with the kinds of discounts you can get.

That is cost for a Premium Annual Pass (PAP) = $531.44.

A regualr annual pass (AP) is $403.64.

Catnik, I guess Norman doesn't realize that the 5 + 2 has been extended to November.

According to Mousesavers the package still needs to be booked by June 28th has the extention been listed elsewhere?

Called yesterday and AP rates were still available for my dates in several resorts, in august.
So if to much are left than we could see codes for the general public in the the near future I think.
But they weren't there yesterday.

an email over the weekend and she is NOT an AP holder offering her the same rates as the current AP discount through 8/28. Wonder if this is "Room Only" for the rest of us or if it's one of those mysterious special offers. Anyhow, she couldn't use it-they're cruising this year. And, I can't use them either, we don't go til November. But, anyone out there still waiting may want to call and check the computers today since she received this email after midnight last night.

:smooth:

Any more word on r/o codes? :confused3

PLEASE don't kill me. They had a big ad in the Travel section of our paper yesterday,w/a room only code. It was for between 7/5(i think)and 8/28. moderates were advertised at $85,,deluxes at $115. I said "i should write that code down,..." but figured everyone here would already know. So i didn't write it down,,and dh threw it away. :-( Now,,i live in Fla,,so i'm not sure if this is a Fla resident only code or what,,,but it had 3 letters which i can't remember. the ad was in the St. Petersburg Times,,if someone wants to search their Sunday travel section online.
