Called about room only codes anyone can use...

I have my room only reservation for October. We are only staying for 5 nights so the 7 for 5 was not good for us. The cast member on the phone said that if any room only codes or annual pass codes become available between now and then, just to call back and change the reservation. We wanted to make sure we at least had our room on site this year. This will be our second trip, first time staying on site. My wife and I can barely keep this from our daughter. We're trying to wait till the last minute to tell her. The first time I said something a few months ahead of time and all we heard about for the next few months was, "when are we going to see Mickey?"

Do those of you who are waiting for summer codes have a room booked for your trips at all? Do you have a Disney resort held at rack rates or something offsite?

I'm going to be in the same boat of hoping for codes for October, but I do have a room-only reservation for POFQ booked at rack rate at this time. I don't intend to pay this rate for a moderate, but I would pay something similar for, say, the WL (with a code). If no codes come, I'll be looking for something offsite. I haven't had to stay offsite in years, and I'm not looking forward to it at all.

Keeping fingers crossed for summer room-only codes for you guys and then fall room-codes for me.....

This discount postcard thing is such a mystery. I've never recieved one, and I can't find that hardly anyone in the Northwest has ever recieived one. I think I must be in the Disneyland travel zone, and they don't include my region in those type of promotions. I'm still watching my mailbox like a hawk though!!

Praying for a room only code, I havent even booked a room yet because we dont want to stay anywhere but WL and AAA isnt available. So please somebody at disney open up the room only codes!

No codes yet! Its Sunday maybe they post codes on Sundays . I still think they will have room only codes . this is our 12th time down and the only time we had to pay full price was our 1st trip down . We didnt know about codes then. Iam sure they will be coming!!!!! marla

Spoke to a CM yesterday, we have a on site ressie for Aug. Told her I was seriously considering moving off site with our plans because of no room only codes. She told me to hang tight and keep the ressie as there may be room only codes coming out late June early July. Let's hope! I still may make a ressie off site just in case.

I too am waiting for late summer/fall room only codes. I currently have a woodsview room reserved at WL. I used my AAA card when booking and received a 15% discount.

How Long are they Usually Good For?
We are going at the end of May 2005. Do You Think I will Luck Up and be able to get A Room Only Code for that time????
If I wait till next year it might be too late to use for my trip..

I hope they come out sooner than that! I leave on July 5th! I wonder if I'm already at the resort and the code comes out, can I just go down to the desk and have it applied? I'm desperate!

Me too! But Im just telling you what was said to me. If they don't come out I think I will change to off site because I will be saving about $40 a night.

Not a room-only for anyone. There were package discounts for the end of Sept last year that were for anyone (7 for 4), which is what worries me. I'm afraid there may be no room-only discounts since they're offering 7 for 5 package "deals." No "deal" for me though...I can only stay 4 nights.

I'm afraid you may be right. With the offers that are out now for Disney Visa, AP's, 7 for 5, and now the direct mailers, they may decide they don't need to offer room only codes. Hope I'm wrong.

I looked at the Disney Visa
and it is a 'package' deal right
it basically is the 5 for 7 with 'disney dollars ' if I remember correctly
