With the 7 for 5 deal that just came out you actually end up getting Pop Century for $55 a night (including taxes) in the value season. Is that something that you have looked into?

I hope the room only rates will include May too! We missed out on the code for savings earlier....we need a discount! There's always wishing!

I'm glad someone posted this.....I need room-only rooms possibly at AKL or WL(can't make up my mind yet) I already have AAA discount on Swan but I have stayed there before and wanted to try something different. I guess I will have to sit tight and wait.:D

But I'm still so happy about FINALLY doing the double digit dance:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I got an AP rate of $84 + tax for POFQ, but I called back and asked them to change it to a FL resident rate so that if I decided not to buy APs I wouldn't be locked in to that rate.

Last year there were no room codes for the summer. It was only the 7 for 4 package... as much as I'd love to have a room only code, what makes this year different than last year?

I spoke with a very knowledgable Cast Member yesterday, getting a price quote for the 7 for 5 package. He quoted me a great price for Pop Century from Sept. 8-17. I then asked him if he thought there would be any room only specials for that time and he told me to just keep calling back that there probably would be some sort of special deal. I did not book the package because we do not want the UPH. We already have some day passes left over from previous visits so we thought we would like to use those on our next trip. The cast member gave me hope that the Room Only specials will be forthcoming.
Just waiting like many of you.

I called last night and in speaking with the cm about something else I asked about room-only codes for Disney Visa. He told me he didn't think there were any but he checked and said the code had not been released yet but he could give me a quote. He quoted POFQ for $84/night through August 28. He even asked if I wanted to book, but I'm not going until Dec. Anyway, it might be worth a shot to call and check! He said he could not give me the code but it was in their computers already and he could look up the prices and availability.

I am not being optimistic about any room only codes for the summer. With the 7 for 5 deal, the AP codes, FL resident codes and the Visa deal that just came out, I doubt Disney will release anything else, at least for July and August. Last year they didn't have any room only codes for summer due to the FTP. I hope they prove me wrong for all those needing them, but I have my doubts. In the past, or at least when I have been going, the room only codes that were for summer came out early April. Last year nothing and so far nothing this year. Again, I hope they do for everyone, but my advice is to have a plan B just in case.

I have an opportunity to get a great price on a 6 day hopper through some club my friend belongs to. It would save me $20 a ticket, so $80 for 4 of us.

Since the AP rate isn't available for my dates, I still have the AAA discounted room for 6 nights at the YC, and if there isn't much chance of room only codes coming out, this may be my only opportunity to save any additional money. I'm thinking of ordering those tickets, and just being happy with saving another $80. Thankfully I booked my first two nights at the Dolphin through Hotwire for $92 a night, so that is my biggest savings!:headache:

If you are using Hotwire, how can you be sure you are getting the Dolphin???

Does anyone know if you can use room only codes on a deluxe room at the WL?

There are a few web sites that can help you sort out which hotels are which by the icons that pop up. The Dolphin has certain icons in a certain order and is rated a 4 star resort. I have my confirmation page at home, I don't know them off hand.

A good website to get more information is betterbidding.com. Look under Florida hotels, and read all the information.::yes::

If and thats a big IF, room only rates come out would they be for Oct? Also would it be cheaper do you think to get Room only at a discount or the 7 for 5 deal? Im just curious what you all think and if in the past one was better than the other.

Rumor has it that room-only codes should be out any day now. Has anyone else heard or been able to confirm the slight possibility of this happening and for what dates?:smooth:

I would assume that if room only discounts are offered it will be the same dates as the AP dates 7/5-8/28. I know I still have a ways to go before I see November codes.

We've got alot of views on this topic but no evidence as of yet. Let's keep this thread active for hopes of getting the codes for room-only:bounce:

I already have the AP rate, but have not bought my AP yet. I'm seriously hoping for a general public room-only code, so that I don't have to buy the AP. I'll be watching with all of you!

Thank you so much for the tip about betterbidding.com I now see how you can tell which hotel/resort it is. I'm very curious as to when you are travelling that you got the Dolphin for $92/night! I have put in numerous dates and the lowest it has given me was $209. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to stay there on my next trip (haven't even gone on this one yet and I am already planning ;) )

The big deal is that the 7 for 5 is a package deal with UPH's. So with an 8 day, 7 night vacation, if you're arriving in the morning and leaving in the evening this is a good deal. If you're arriving late at night and leaving first thing in the morning it isn't a good deal. Two days of park passes go unused. You usually need to be in the park all 8 days to get your money's worth but now two days are free.

If you get a room only then you get to decide how your days will be spent and get passes only for those days you need them. If you're arriving late on the first day and leaving early on the last day this is the way to go.

My understanding is that room only rates are not designed to discourage the use of any package deals, so the 7 for 5 will be the better deal as long as you are able to take full advantage of the days. But if you cannot take advantage of all the days or you would like to take a day or two off from the parks to go to a water park or Universal, a room only code will give you that freedom and be more cost effective.
