Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

I am so glad you enjoyed Kona! We really felt like it was our best meal on property and I always worry when I make claims like that, no one else will feel that way. If anyone is brave in the group we really loved the tuna!

I love the photos from the back of that shop. It's one of the places I've always wanted to explore!

:cake:Happy Birthday Drew!

MeMom and Jill,
It was so nice to meet you in front of the castle. I wish I had more time to talk to you. Brooklynn and Bella are adorable! Hopefully, we will be able to meet up again in the future.

What a sweet birthday message you wrote for Drew! How lucky he was to get a loving mother such as you!

Happy Birthday Drew, have a wonderful evening!

MeMom, I'm thinking DIS meet this July!

Oh my goodness!!! I love that pic of Brooklynn on Test Track! Hilarious! I can't wait to read about it.

I'm glad that you had such a wonderful trip. It was great to follow along on Facebook!

Just wanted to share with you one of my favorite pictures from this last trip.

brook.jpg

What did Brooklynn decide she needed to ride?

Am I going to win another terrible mommy award for taking this picture of my eldest child?

Let the Barnstormer reminiscing commence!!!!!

:rotfl2: Thats adorable!!!!!! I can wait for Hollie to be able to ride it this trip!!! I know I will have a picture just like this one Jill! ;)

Welcome home....glad you had a great girls trip!

So I found out that my best friend soon to be former best friend is at Coranado Springs for a car conference that she is covering for some car magazine she works for....the former best friend comment because she did not tell me about it until she was there!! :scared1: She never tells me when she is going to my favorite places...I could have tagged along...gone to the F &W festival....oh well...i know I will enjoy it when I am there in Feb!!

Happy Birthday Drew!

I hate hearing your summer dates are around the fourth.... we will just probably be back from WDW, so no DIS meet!

Enjoy your day off.... I am playing the guess how many are well and at school game this past two weeks, while wrapping up the first quarter. Hard to do when kids have been out for over a week!

If I do all four weeks of summer school, then we wouldn't be able to leave until the second about midday. I'm thinking of getting someone to cover for me for the last couple of days so that we can leave on the 30th. It's still just in the planning stages, but I have to wedge it in between summer school and church camp.

I am not looking forward to going back to school on Monday. :sad2:

Hopefully we will be booking soon for next summer -- it's hard not knowing when the Harry Potter theme park is going to happen for sure because that is the one thing Connor wants to do more than anything else. I am about ready to take my chances though.

Happy Birthday to Drew!

I hope it works out for Connor to see all that. I'm hoping a LOT of people will be at Universal in the summer and Disney World will have a little lighter summer crowds. Selfish, I know, but wishful thinking to help our summer trip be a little nicer. :)

i won't be there until christmas. why don't i send you a check which will include the money for the toys plus about $8 for shipping so you can send it to me? i think that should cover it. do you think so? you don't have to ship the one you got for my future baby, i will just get that from you the next time i see you. thanks again! and what a deal!!!

this made me cry, but in a good way!!! ray and i have always considered adopting and this makes me want to do it even more someday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DREW!!!

I could get it to your mom or sister, if you'd like. I live right on the exit, as you know, so it would be very easy for them to get to me, or I could meet them somewhere. I bet we cross paths around here off and on, anyway, and don't even know it. Just sometime when they happened to be going to Kohl's or Target, I could meet them there or they could run by here. Think about it a little bit and we can PM specifics. It'll save you the postage and I won't have to wrap it. It's going to need a box to protect it, since it's soft-sided. Unless you're just in a hurry for it, it can sit right here until you (or they) can get to it. Just think about it and let me know.

If I could do any job in the world, I would love to be the one who got to bring babies and children to their new families. The guy who traveled with Drew from Korea was so nice. He told us how everyone on the plane oohed and aahed over Drew. The stewardesses got off the plane to see the babies come to their families. Passengers and their families (you could meet passengers at the gate back then) stayed to watch the babies get off. They had to get off last for whatever reason, so the drama built. We were all standing around with cameras, which made others stop, thinking there was a celebrity on this plane or something! :) I think it would be a very rewarding job to do.

Welcome Back MeMom,Jill, Brooklyn and Bella !

Thanks for already sharing some details of your Halloween trip , sounds like fun was had by all :) The picture of Brooklyn on TT is priceless !:rotfl: I really enjoyed all the pictures from inside Tony's and never new that gift shop , memorabilia area was there , will def have to check it out on our next trip ! Can't wait to here more about your WDW adventures !

Happy Birthday Drew !!:cake:

That's the fun of trip reports - showing things that are new along with the usual things everyone knows about. I hope you will get a chance to go in that area in Tony's. Later in the trip, I took the others back, so you will see more later. There are some cute little photo ops back there.

I am glad you had a safe trip. It sounds like you had a great trip. I love the picture of Brooklynn. I hope you and Jill get to take your weekend trip together. It is rare that you get to spend time alone with your mother when you become a mother.

That is true. As much as I love those girls, and as much as Jill loves those girls, sometimes I'd like to just have my own girl alone for a short time. I know she would not want to be away for long. I never wanted to be away from my kids. It would just be very short and very fun!

MeMom, Tell Drew eveyone is Disland says Happy Birthday. And to you I say congratulations (even though it was hard at times) on raising 3 wonderful kids. I know you are proud of each and everyone of them.
I can't wait to hear more about your trip. Brooklynn face was priceless on the TT ride. I wonder what Bella was thinking when she saw all these big animals running around the park. I can't wait to take Ty.

I did tell Drew. He laughed and shook his head. He thinks the Dis thing is pretty funny. He doesn't have a clue about what it is about, really. I did stop him and show him his greetings, though. I also showed him that the DIS has a Photography Board. I scrolled through it and told him he should check that out sometime.

I know you are looking so forward to taking Ty!

Happy Birthday Drew! Your words were so sweet and had me tearing up.

It's a mom thing. We tear up over anything that has to do with kids. :)

Nope we're not. I just don't feel like it'd be the same without Mom,Dad, and Sis. Which is also why we're not eating at 1900 PF or Chef Mickey's this trip either. I'm such a sap.

Aw..happy birthday Drew! That was such a nice post to him.

By the way, Happy Friday!

I understand completely. This will be a different kind of trip for you.

Happy birthday to Drew!

Oh, Kona. That was one place I wanted to go but I don't think my sister would be able to find anything to her liking. I can't remember if I told you, but I finally decided I wanted to eat at 1900 PF for dinner, because we will all get a kick out of the stepsisters.

Happy Friday!

The stepsisters will be great, I'm sure. When we rode the Teacups at the Halloween Party the other night, they stopped and were screaming at everyone on the ride.

Kona was soooo good!

:cool1: I love the pictures from Tony's! That area with the movie screen is so neat! I think it would be a great place to take a quiet, cool break!!

I love your post about Drew MeMom! It was so heartwarming and touching! I hope he has a great birthday!!

You are exactly right. There were only two people in there when I was there the first time, and just a handful when I took Jill back later to show her. My first thought, with having Bella, was that it is a great place to nurse a baby or let a little one sit and have a snack out of the crowds and heat for a little while.

Drew hung out with friends. They were going to see a movie, but I'm not sure what they saw. I was asleep when he got in.

More responses later. I have to get to the grocery store. I like to go before the crowd gets there. Kind of like rope drop!

I agree! We are only going to do Universal the one day -- hope everyone else does several days there.

 Me too! Sometimes I even turn on the Imagination song as I enter the Walmart parking lot just like when the buses reach Epcot! :lmao: Somehow it isn't the same though.

OMG!! This made me laugh so hard!! :lmao::rotfl: I Listen to monorail narrative in the car and try to imagine we're headed to MK or epcot and not normal everyday places! Also, not the same thing ;)

my mom would be the best bet seeing that my sister lives in connecticut! :lmao: i know you didn't know that but it was just funny when i read it. i will talk to her about it during our sunday phone call - since i moved here in may of 1997 we have talked on the phone every single sunday. we often, of course, call each other more than that, but our rule is that sunday we have to get in touch. she can pay you and i will mail her a check or just give her the money next time i see her. i will PM you the details after i talk with her.

i agree - that would be such a great job! to bring so many people happiness. i've always thought i would eventually adopt someday. one of my bosses adopted in 2008. she already had 2 sons from a previous marriage and she and her current husband found out the chances of them having a baby were very, very slim. he didn't have any kids and really wanted one, so they looked into adoption. at first they went to china but they didn't qualify because they hadn't been married long enough. apparently their rules now are really strict. so then they went to guatemala (i'm sure i spelled that incorrectly) and had everything all filled out and while they were waiting on approval their program got shut down. so then they tried khasakstan (again, spelling?) and thought it was gonna go through there, but the stars aligned here at home and shannon was talking to our UPS guy, of all people, one day and he said that he and his wife were foster parents for DFCS here and had a little girl who needed a home. she was only 1 month old at the time. so shannon and brian ended up getting her and adopted her 3 months later. she just turned 2 and she's the apple of their eye. her name is isabella. oh, and to make the story even better, in december of that year (10 months later), shannon found out she was pregnant.... she had carrie-grace in august this year. so now they have 4 kids, one of which was a VERY big surprise!

anyway, i just think adoption is great. especially with my job because i see so many people who have kids and can't or won't take care of them. that also makes it completely frustrating for me right now as i'm trying to get pregnant and i see these women who get pregnant if someone SNEEZES on them and they can't even take care of themselves, much less a kid. but i know there's a reason for everything and it will happen when it's meant to happen!

I agree! My mom's cousins adopted a baby girl from China when I was 7. They actually went to China to pick her up. They already had one daughter, my second cousin Becca. I remember we went to the airport to meet them when they got back with Kaleigh :) She's 9 now. I'm bad with ages but I remember hers 'cause she's exactly 7 years younger than me. Same birthday!

My two first cousins, Josh and Jeremy are adopted too. From the Philippines. My aunt and uncle went there to get them too. I wasn't born at that point so I don't remember that :lmao:

We were so excited
that we thought you and Erica
were worth $4.25, too,
so we bought you each a set for your future little ones. :)

YOU ARE SO SWEET!!!! A little birdie told me I had a surprise over here that I needed to come check it out! I am so excited to already have people picking out sweet things for my little one!! :goodvibes I'm getting very anxious to find out if it's a :groom: or princess:!!

I hope you guys had a WONDERFUL trip! Enjoyed getting text and pictures from you....thanks for sending :upsidedow

Glad you are home safe and now you can start looking forward to your December trip and see how many photopass pic's you can take!!

Also.....
HAPPY party: BIRTHDAY party: DREW!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day :goodvibes

I'm getting very anxious to find out if it's a :groom: or princess:!!

when do you find out?

oh, i may have gotten a little something for that little one at some point recently. :rolleyes1 it can be used for a boy or a girl. and it's just very small....i couldn't resist!

Your recommendation was right on. It was delicious, and we have made reservations again for New Year's Eve. :thumbsup2

Happy birthday Drew!

I told Drew all my Dis friends wished him Happy Birthday. He thought it was funny. He goes along with the thought that we're a cult.

:cake:Happy Birthday Drew!

That was crazy that we happened to be at that place at the same time. I hope you guys had a great time!

What a sweet birthday message you wrote for Drew! How lucky he was to get a loving mother such as you!

I really feel guilty much of the time, as well as very selfish for taking him from a much better circumstance that he might have had. At the time, I thought he would be raised in a two parent home with a fairly decent lifestyle, but shortly after he arrived, our lives were turned upside down. I wonder what Drew's life could have been like if he had gone to a better home and parents that could have given him so much more than I have been able to give him.

Happy Birthday Drew, have a wonderful evening!

He went out with friends to see that Paranormal movie. He didn't recommend it.

MeMom, I'm thinking DIS meet this July!

Yep. :thumbsup2

You will have so much fun with Caleb in just four short months!

We went to Trunk-or-Treat at church tonight. Ariel Girl has had her bath and turned the water all pink. She is very tired and is sitting here beside me with a blanket and pillow about to crash. She wanted to put some smileys up before she fell asleep, so here goes:

Never mind.

She has fallen asleep already. :lovestruc

Happy Birthday Drew!! :woohoo:

You always have such inspiring words to share with us MeMom, I love it :goodvibes

I'm sure Ariel Girl had a great time tonight, I loved their costumes. Jill did such a great job on Flounder Girl too :thumbsup2

I told Drew all my Dis friends wished him Happy Birthday. He thought it was funny. He goes along with the thought that we're a cult.
Well, if it's not a cult, it's quite the addiction..

MeMom, don't sell yourself short, we don't always have control of the circumstances in our lives, but we do have control of the attitude in which react to the circumstances. He was blessed to have you come into his life! I'm sure he'd be the first one to tell you!
