Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Happy belated birthday to Drew.:cheer2:
That's so cute of Ariel to fall asleep like that. She must of been tired. All that swimming and chilling with Prince Eric could do that to you.:rotfl:
Where exactly was Pinochio? Is he always there? Do you know what times he is there? He is going to make one kid of mine very happy this trip.

when do you find out?

Prob. the 2nd week of Dec. Right after my trip. I'm going to ask again if we could poss. do it the week of Thanksgiving....but I would be spending lots less $$$$ if I waited

oh, i may have gotten a little something for that little one at some point recently. :rolleyes1 it can be used for a boy or a girl. and it's just very small....i couldn't resist!

AWWWWWW.....How sweet!!!!

Is it a Vandy onesie??? ;) :rotfl:

If I could do any job in the world, I would love to be the one who got to bring babies and children to their new families.

Our babysitter adopted 3 children from Korea and afterwards she and her husband did this for the agency they worked with. She says it was one of the most rewarding things they have ever done.

A good friend of mine has also adopted 3 times and the last time she and her FIL got to go get her little girl and bring her home. I remember so well their phone calls letting them know their children were on the way home, it's quite the amazing feeling!

Happy birthday Drew!

nope, but good guess! ;)

it would be nice to find out before you went so you could shop appropriately! jordan wasn't supposed to find out what she was having last year until right after christmas but she fell down some stairs and they did an ultrasound early to be sure everything was okay. that's when they found out it was a girl and it was like a week before we went to disney in december. so i got to get her a pink minnie onesie! princess:

Glad to hear your last trip was nice. Hope the weather was cooler for you, the week before was horrendous but still had one of the best trips and the party was the best.

Great updates and pics on the current tr.

The Disney Ice show looked like fun.

 HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DREW! (tell him these 'smilies' are hidden cult symbols we use, in our ploys to take over the world....:rotfl:)

I have been so frustrated lately on the DIS, everytime I typed a message here it came back unable to deliver???? :badpc:
I havn't been ignoring you....

WELCOME BACK! :grouphug:

I was anxiously awaiting your return, and all the new pics that will come soon after. :thumbsup2

The pic of Brooklynn is so great, what a moment to capture. Did she like it?

Are you planning on showing us pics of "Trunk or Treat", and Ariel girl?

Have a Sweet Sunday with your girls!

I have to decorate my yard for Halloween and go grocery shopping. :goodvibes

I agree! We are only going to do Universal the one day -- hope everyone else does several days there.

Me too! Sometimes I even turn on the Imagination song as I enter the Walmart parking lot just like when the buses reach Epcot! Somehow it isn't the same though.

We just have to do what we can to try to keep the magic going. :)

OMG!! This made me laugh so hard!! I Listen to monorail narrative in the car and try to imagine we're headed to MK or epcot and not normal everyday places! Also, not the same thing

I have 4 Parks, 1 World, Magic in the Streets, SpectroMagic, Illuminations, Candlelight Processional, and more to transport me away from real life while I am driving. I haven't imagined myself going to a park yet, but I may give it a try! :goodvibes

my mom would be the best bet seeing that my sister lives in connecticut!

i agree - that would be such a great job! to bring so many people happiness. i've always thought i would eventually adopt someday.
anyway, i just think adoption is great. especially with my job because i see so many people who have kids and can't or won't take care of them. that also makes it completely frustrating for me right now as i'm trying to get pregnant and i see these women who get pregnant if someone SNEEZES on them and they can't even take care of themselves, much less a kid. but i know there's a reason for everything and it will happen when it's meant to happen!

I forgot your sister left this area. Just let your mom decide whatever is best for her. If you are in a hurry for it, I can mail it, but if not, you can just get it whenever. I'm in no hurry for four bucks.

It doesn't seem to make sense why people who would make good parents often have a hard time conceiving and people who are crummy parents sometimes have more than they need or want. We just have to trust that God knows best - He knows our wants and our needs, and in the long run, it will all work out, even though we may totally not 'get it' sometimes.

alright I am ready for more action from you guys

A few pictures coming up shortly.

I agree! My mom's cousins adopted a baby girl from China when I was 7.

My two first cousins, Josh and Jeremy are adopted too. From the Philippines. My aunt and uncle went there to get them too. I wasn't born at that point so I don't remember that

Adoption is an awesome way to grow a family for those who are willing to pursue that avenue. I knew two couples who never had children because the husbands were not willing to do that. They said it would be their own 'real' baby or nothing at all. I personally think they missed out on an incredible experience.

I am so excited to already have people picking out sweet things for my little one!!

I hope you guys had a WONDERFUL trip! Enjoyed getting text and pictures from you....thanks for sending

Glad you are home safe and now you can start looking forward to your December trip and see how many photopass pic's you can take!!

Also.....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREW!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day

Let me know whenever you are down this way and you can get it. Or if you plan to see Dawn, we can give yours to her mom, too. You guys can think about it.

We enjoyed sending the pictures. It was fun sharing our good time with you guys.

Happy Birthday Drew!!

You always have such inspiring words to share with us MeMom, I love it :goodvibes

I'm sure Ariel Girl had a great time tonight, I loved their costumes. Jill did such a great job on Flounder Girl too

Ariel and Flounder were both exhausted at the end of the night. We all had a good time.

Happy Birthday, Drew!!

I shared the birthday wishes with Drew.

Well, if it's not a cult, it's quite the addiction..

MeMom, don't sell yourself short, we don't always have control of the circumstances in our lives, but we do have control of the attitude in which react to the circumstances. He was blessed to have you come into his life! I'm sure he'd be the first one to tell you!

I'll bet they were the cutest little trunk or treaters there!:goodvibes

An addiction, for sure, and an expensive one, too!

I just feel very guilty that my selfishness in wanting a third child kept Drew from going to a home that would have had so much more material things to offer him. Jill and Trent didn't have a choice, but Drew could have gotten a better situation, so I do feel guilty. Then again, I trust that God meant for me to be his mother, for some crazy reason, so I do my best.

happy b-day drew

I shared your greeting with him.

Happy belated birthday to Drew.

Where exactly was Pinochio? Is he always there? Do you know what times he is there? He is going to make one kid of mine very happy this trip.

I had been telling her that she had to wait until the end of the post and I would let her do her thing. When I was ready and had typed that she was going to add her mark, I looked down and she was fast asleep on my arm where she had been watching me type. I tried to wake her up, but she was a goner!

We have seen Pinocchio many times right around the Tony's area. You can ask at guest relations, and they can give you the times. I hope you find him.

Happy birthday Drew!

I remember watching the planes come in and then all of the excitement of him being carried off. One of the stewardesses said we almost lost him to her. She wanted to take him home!

Great updates and pics on the current tr.

The Disney Ice show looked like fun.

The weather was great. It was cool in the mornings and warm in the day time. It was warm enough to swim at midday. There was no rain. It couldn't have been more ideal. We were lucky.

Disney on Ice was fun. Have you been to any of those shows? It's a nice little Disney fix.

 HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DREW! (tell him these 'smilies' are hidden cult symbols we use, in our ploys to take over the world....

Disney has take over my mind. I can admit it. :)

Sorry you have had DIS trouble. That would be frustrating.

I'm going to put some pictures up in just a minute. We'd love to see a picture of your yard decorations when you are finished.

**************************

Jill and John have gone to the mall, Bella is sleeping, Brooklynn is watching Nemo, and I am loading pictures.

We ate at Texas Roadhouse yesterday for Drew's birthday. Last night, we went to church and did Trunk-or-Treat, which is easy and cute and fun for the kids.

Bella is a month older and half the size of Owen. She thought his hair was interesting.

Disneygirlstripend10-09043.jpg

Apparently Ariel Girl couldn't feed herself, or Jill thought she would plop pizza on her fins. Not sure which.

Carson's fin ended up on the table.

Our cookie decorating table.

Disneygirlstripend10-09049.jpg

We had sugar cookies, three colors of frosting, m&m's, SweetTarts, Mike & Ikes, candy corn, sprinkles, and marshmallows. The kids enjoyed piling their cookies high with goodies.

Some of the other trunks.

There was a hayride around the premises.

I completely agree. It's never bothered me at all that my cousins weren't biologically related to me. I would love them just as much if they were my biological cousins. Actually, Josh and Jeremy both recently became fathers :) They each had a baby boy. Josh and Jeremy are actually brothers, so the babies are biological cousins. But it doesn't bother me one bit that they're not really related to me. I love them both sooooo much. They're absolutely adorable and the sweetest babies ever :goodvibes

I loved the truck or treat pictures. The kids are so cute in their costumes. The little boy eating the apple was precious.

We just have to do what we can to try to keep the magic going. :)

I can't believe you died brooklyins hair red

We had a Nemo and Squirt a few years ago. Such adorable costumes! Trunk or Treat looks like a great way to hang out with good friends!

Trunk or Treat is a great idea. Wish we had it at our church. We will be having a bonfire and hayride for our kiddos. I think we will sit it out though, since Ty is so young still. Plus, I think my bunch is cooking up a surprise for my birthday. I turn 45 Saturday. :(

P.S. I told Ty that Bella was crawling, so he got to it and started crawling this week. Still no teeth though.lol

Trunk or Treat is so cute -- a couple of our local churches do it as well!

Brooklyn is so cute as Ariel -- I don't blame Jill for feeding her to save the costume -- my 10-year-old managed to get chili on himself at dinner tonight. :confused3

How did you score those Disney Halloween cups???

Happy belated birthday to Drew. My nephew turned 1 on the same day! We struggled for a long time to get pg and endured many fertility treatments. I really believe God gives you the children you are meant to have through pg or adoptions.

Trunk or Treat is so cool! I've never seen anything like that before, what a great idea. :thumbsup2

Actually, I've been wanting to ask you a question. When I graduate, Chris and I want to move off of Long Island. It's so expensive here, it makes us sick and we would be living with our parents until we are 35 if we stay here. We're looking at the Carolinas and Tennessee. Well, since you live in TN, I figured you'd be the person to ask. Where is a nice, suburban place to live? I don't want to be in the city but DEFINITELY not the country either. I'd like someplace similar to where I am now, just not $304384098530 a month for taxes and a mortgage. Someone I work with told me Knoxville and I was looking at other places like right outside Nashville. I'm a real NY girl so I can't be anywhere thats too rural LOL Are teaching jobs in demand there? Any info you can give me would be appreciated MeMom! :goodvibes

Great Trunk or Treat pictures! We love Trunk or Treat, it's great for the little kids! We are looking forward to ours on Saturday night. My kids are going as Minnie and Mickey. I can't wait to see them all dressed up, I just hope Owen will leave the ears on.

That picture of Brooklyn is HILARIOUS!!! You're not a bad mommy Jill, just a funny one!:rotfl2: Kinda like when your kids are just starting to eat baby food and they make those funny faces when they taste something sour or nasty? And you give it to them again just so you can see their reaction one more time???:lmao: I LOVE it!
MeMom, what a big heart you have to adopt a child. I know that the Lord has big plans for you. And, as far as material things, those don't mean anything. I know a family who wants for nothing, physically, but their dad is NEVER home and their mom hires a nanny in the summer so she doesn't have to spend time with her kids. I'm sure that Drew never wanted for your attention or your affection and love. He knows that you love him and that he was very wanted in your family. Don't sell yourself short just because you don't live in a mansion. There are more important things in life other than how big your house is or how new your car is.

Ack!!! :scared1: I was only gone a bit more than you and I am more than 12 pages behind.

I had a blast meeting both MeMom and Jill and of course Brooklyn and Bella.

Thank you for being patient with me we both moved around MK and missed each other a few times.

Glad to be back, but the catch up may be a bit crazy.

Hope you had a blast at the Halloween party. I was watching Hallowishes from the beach at the Poly :cloud9: My favorite place!

I've been out of town, so I a little late, but I'm glad you had a good trip and I hope that Drew had a good birthday! I definitely teared up at the birthday message and the story of him getting off the plane (I don't have kids, so it must not JUST be a mom thing) I am sure that all of the material possessions in the world cannot make up for the love and experiences Drew has had with you and your family and vice versa. No sense worrying about things that would have most likely end up discarded or forgotten when the memories and warm fuzzies will always be there.

I love the picture of Brooklynn on TT. It cracks me up, especially that you can see Jill laughing in the back of the picture.

we often, of course, call each other more than that, but our rule is that sunday we have to get in touch.

This makes me smile. My mom did the same thing with all six of us while she was alive.
