We have had good luck with flights out of JFK for as little as 293/person off of cheapTickets

Were (Group of 8 Canadians) booked on - Air Plus Comet #916 from JFK to Madrid >> to Barcelona Departing JFK at 9:10pm Aug 17/07

Thanks for the warm welcome! I actually booked through DVC, using points and cash so the air rate I received was from them, although DCL quoted them. I was told RT from Chicago to Barcelona on a red-eye and back from MCO to O' Hare with transfers and baggage handling would be 941.70 per person. They wouldn't tell me on who or specific times other than a "red-eye" flight. The times seem to suit us but just using travelocity, I found a $543.80 flight per person through Aerlingus there and United back for $105.80 per to O'Hare. That's a difference of nearly $600 dollars for the pair of us. I wonder how much trouble is it to get to the port from the airport in Barcelona?

Also, for for Bob and others who have done the 14 day relocation before, do they have special activities on board during that 2 weeks or is it basically like doing two back-to-backs? This will be our 10th Disney cruise. We've done back-to-backs before but never something like this!

bearfan--i'm from northern illinois too--rockford. we chose disney air only because we had a bad experience last summer flying to rome for a carinval cruise--turns out we had a red eye--and the plane had problems--sat on the tarmack for 5 hours before we could take off--because we had booked our airfare thru carnival the ship waited for us--if we did air ourselves, we would have had to find a way to the next port. . .

On the last 14 day repo cruise we did new things ie enterrainment every day not a repeat of week 1 in week 2 - we had a great time. NO 2 Priate nights but we did have 1 - I hope we will this time too

Looks like you missed us. I just found the thread a few weeks ago. There will be 2 of us, me and my DS (11) in category 11.

Also, I think you had some info on the train from DLP to the port. Any info you could share on that would be great. We plan on probably a week in Paris before heading to Spain.

We booked!! My DH, DS (8 at time of cruise) and I will be joining you all on the westbound repo cruise!. We have been talking about it for a few weeks and decide to do it. We are first time Disney cruisers and are jumping in feet first with a two week cruise. I hope to get some advice from all you repeat cruisers and look forward to chatting with you in the months to come!!

Anyone else getting nervous about packing? I usually take 2 big suitecases on a week long cruise. But with a week in Paris and then getting on the train, I don't want to be lugging that much around. How am I going to survive a week in Paris then 2 weeks on the ship with 1 suitcase (or however I end up limiting myself)?

I know I can do laundry. But geez, you guys are going to get sick of seeing me in the same clothes.
