I think everybody lost notifications of their threads when they switched to a new server! :confused3

As for excursions, good reference and then check out yourselves, probably way cheaper!

This is the official thread. I think the part 2 is becasue some of these cruisers cruised on the PC repo and are on here again. OR it is becasue we are the returning repo.

Disneyvegas1 welcome.

Welcome!

Yes, this is the "official" on the DIS. We have Part 2 because quite a few of us have travelled on the Panana Crossing Bringing the Magic Home and since this is the second time we are bringing her home, hence Part 2!

The weather wasnt the greatest . we got into Orlando and it was 38 degrees the night before the cruise ....First stop at CC was a little chilly , of course the further south we went the better it got ....Had some rain on our Margaritas Jeep tour in Cozumel ...lol oh boy the stories ..LOL All an all it was good , we came back to Vegas last night to the 40's...lol

Barcelona should be in the 80's when we go in August ..LOL

This thread moves slow compared to the Last DD thread ...but I am sure I can Help pick things up ......

Where are all the Pirates ????

It's funny, my planning has been around pre-cruise activities so far: airfare, overnight trains, Disneyland Paris. I haven't even given this a thought yet but I'm sure I'll be wanting to know soon!

I honestly can't imagine schlepping formal wear for four nights this time. Blech

Hate to disappoint, but I heard a nasty rumour that there will be no Priate Night! Guess we'll have to wait for the May Crossing to find out for sure!

As for Barcelona, I would suggest taking a plane! ;) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

There is a bunch of us that are travelling to Paris first! Then taking the train to Barcelona!

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. There was someone mentioning a huge price drop for the eastbound cruise. I couldn't see it last night, but then they explained it was a price break on the kids. I looked it up again and sure enough it is!

Say you are a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids. If the kids are 12 and under, they are less than $200 each in Cat 4-12! I am very much hoping this happens with us.

I am actually thinking of redoing my whole plan and switching if this doesn't happen here. I would have to take the kids out of school for the last month, but that is doable. :scratchin

good news--i emailed disney and complained about lack of tours for family's with kids under 5--they have re-evaluated the excursions an now my family can go to the beach in tenerife--before you had to be at least 5 yr old (i think it also said recommend 8 and up). now i'm excited again--was actually considering cancelling the trip because we would have had to leave my son in the kids club every port day--that just didn't sound fair to him!

i bet people aren't booking the eastern transatlantic because most kids are still in school may 12 (and might even have tests--finals). my kids will miss 2 1/2 days on the west bound--but they are the first days of school--no tests!

i bet this is an incentive to try to get more families to travel on the eastern--are they advertising it?

Hello everyone!
I just booked DH and myself today! :thumbsup2 We can hardly wait to begin planning. I've got a lot of catching up to do on this thread, so forgive me for asking if it's already been discussed, but do you get the feeling that most cruisers are booking their own airfare or going with DCL. Unfortunately, we can't travel early as we are using all of my husband's vacation up on this so we'll be arriving on Satuday morning from Chicago. The price I was quoted seemed reasonable and included all transfers and baggage handling. I'd love to hear from all of my fellow mouseketeers! :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Welcome Bearfan

I am new to this group as well (we Just got off the DD Magic Saturday ) :lmao: ... My experiences in the past has always been that airfare was cheaper doing it yourself ....Unless you got an incredible deal through DCL , and if you did tell us ...
