I wasn't much of a sports fan all, except for my brother's Little League team.
I suppose if football was on TV, I was "rooting" for whoever my Dad wanted to win, which would have been NY teams, but I likely wasn't paying that much attention.
I did watch Olympic gymnastics and ice skating with my mom, but of course, that was only on every couple of years, and obviously not specific to either state.

Not really one particular favorite over others, just a general awe when I moved here about being so close to all the historical stuff I'd only read about.
And when DS was little, we used to go to the museums and the aquarium pretty often.

I hope you don't mind that I made a spinoff NY metro area Disboarders thread. So if you or other MA Disboarders have questions about visiting my home region, you can do so there.
MA Disboarders, is there a cultural difference between Western and Eastern Massachusetts? In New York there are cultural differences between Western NY and the rest of the state. So I'm curious if the same is true in MA.

Sure, I think so. But each of the areas is sort of unique anyway - not just western MA, but south shore, north shore, coastal areas, cape cod, etc. It’s all good, though! All offer some cool and unique things.
