Boo to You & Turning 2! Oct 2012 PTR *NEW* 10/30 We're Back! TR Link Posted!!

That's good to hear, thanks. If I am at work when I need to get online I may have a problem...I'll need to make sure my break is at 6 so I can get online down in our lunch room. I'll need to set my alarm otherwise.

I have a link to the mobile Disney dining reservation page on my iPhone for such instances! :rotfl: Although, I'm usually up getting ready for work at 6 am, so I'll still have access to my home computer. Hopefully everything works out for you!

Great choices on you ADRs. The breakfasts should be a good choice with a little guy in tow. Gotta love having them eat free at a buffet or family style place.:thumbsup2 Characters for entertainment is always helpful too.

Via Napoli is just pure awesomeness no matter who is eating there. Always an excellent choice.

I like the plan to do 50's. I'm glad to see you say you like Sci-fi, because it seems like it is highly underrated and doesn't get much respect. I can see how it is less than ideal in your situation though, and you do want to try something else once in a while. 50's has good food and a good family atmosphere. I think it should be a good fit.

Yes, I am milking him eating free for all it's worth this time!! :lmao: He didn't eat much in the way of table food on our last trip, but now whatever we have, he wants. I can't wait for him to have his first Mickey waffle! ::MickeyMo

I usually see nothing but negative reviews for Sci-Fi, but we really love it there! The atmosphere is great. I've never strayed far into the menu, but we have never had a problem with the food there. And DH was pretty excited about the burger with a hot dog on it last time. Maybe that's why he's not very excited about 50's PT because they don't have the picnic burger! :rotfl: I think 50's is definitely better for our family dynamics on this trip than Sci-Fi, although I do look forward to when we can bring our little banshee back there again! :goodvibes

So with our California/Seattle trip starting exactly six weeks from today (!!), I thought I'd detour from WDW plans for a moment and share the DL plans.

I still don't have an official calendar for our entire week, but I can pretty much guess the park hours for our dates based on the weeks before. We will be there a Monday thru Friday, so it looks like our hours will be Disneyland 9am-9pm every day, and California Adventure 10am-8pm every day. With our quick commute to and from the parks and ease of park hopping between the two, I'm definitely not going to be as rigid with our schedule as I am with WDW, but I do have an idea of where we will be and when. The one glaringly bad thing about our dates is that DL is only doing Fantasmic and the Magical Fireworks show on Fri-Sun, which means we will not be able to see either one of them! :sad1: I was pretty disappointed to see that, since I was looking forward to at least seeing Fantasmic, and I LOVE me some Disney fireworks. But despite that small disappointment, I'm really excited about this trip!!

Monday May 14th
We'll be up early to get to the airport around 5:30 am, and grab breakfast there. Our flight leaves at 7:05, so we'll make sure to bring plenty of snacks to hold us over for the 4.5 hour flight!

Our arrival time at LAX will be 9:18 am. It will be getting close to our lunchtime, so I'm making sure to bring something that DS can have for lunch, possibly that I can feed him while DH picks up the rental car? I know it will take us at least 45 minutes to get to the resort if there isn't much traffic (), so I'd like to have at least his lunch done before we hit the road if possible. Hopefully I'll be allowed to bring milk for him or at least purchase some on the plane or something.

We will go straight to Wyndham Dolphin's Cove Resort to check-in.

3752-1322580479.jpg

On the off chance that our room is actually ready that early, I'd like to unpack and do a grocery run to stock up on breakfast foods, milk for Paxton, and some snacks and food for him, and whatever else we need. If the room is not ready (the more likely scenario), I'm thinking we will just leave our bags with the resort and go straight to Disneyland!

DSCN4500.jpg

I'm hoping, of course, that DS will have gotten some sleep on the plane and/or the car ride to the resort, but if not, I'm sure a nap in the stroller will be in order while DH and I explore and more than likely, get ourselves something more substantial to eat since we'll likely be starving by that point!

We probably won't spend very long there, because I'm sure we will all be exhausted and out of sorts with the time change. So after a few hours at the park, we'll make our grocery stop if we haven't already, then spread out at the resort. Maybe grab something quick and easy to fix for dinner at the resort and spend some time in the pool?

Tuesday May 15th
Tuesday is a Magic Morning at Disneyland, so we may take it slow and easy that morning and give California Adventure a try that day after breakfast and some playtime at the resort for Paxton.

DSCN4493.jpg

We don't really have any top priorities for this park, so we can take the morning to explore and have some lunch there. I'm going to try to stick with Paxton's home schedule while we are there, which means one long afternoon nap from about 1-3 pm here. But, I know if he's cranky or tired in the morning, he might catch a nap in the stroller, so we'll have to adjust our plans accordingly. So depending on the time of day, we might go over to DL for a bit or just stay at DCA until we head back to the resort for DS to nap.

After our break, I'd like to go back to DL for the afternoon/evening so we can see Mickey's Soundsational Parade at 7 pm and possibly stay for The Magic, The Memories, and You! show at 8:30 pm. I didn't really get to see this show all that well in WDW, but I think it will be neat to see it projected on It's a Small World instead of the Castle!

DSCN4511.jpg

Wednesday May 16th
Up and at 'em early for a Rope Drop at DL! Do they do a show like they do in MK? Show or no show, I'd like to be there for when the park opens this morning. Since we might like to see World of Color twice on our stay, if DH is feeling up to it, I might send him over to DCA when it opens to snag some FPs for the show that night at 8:45 pm.

WorldOfColor-2-39.jpg

We will probably spend a majority of the day at DL, both before and after his nap, then head over to DCA a couple of hours before the show to do some more attractions and see WoC.

Thursday May 17th
Since we will have a late night the evening before, we'll probably have another take it slow morning and go to DCA for when it opens.

california-adventure.jpg

Depending on how it went the night before with Paxton seeing WoC, we may grab some FPs for it again to see this night. But if it was too rough, we'll just be happy we got to see it once. Since I have no idea how much we will actually want to do at DCA, we'll play it by ear for most of the day as to whether we stay there most of the day or go back to DL for awhile. But I do want to spend the late afternoon/early evening checking out the shops at Downtown Disney.

DSC_5810.jpg

Friday May 18th
Our last day in DLR, and DH's birthday! What better way to end our trip than how we started it...at Disneyland! Unless we feel like there is more we wanted to do at DCA, I imagine we will spend our entire morning here.

That morning we will have to check out of the room and take our stuff with us because we won't have much time in the park.

DSCN4495.jpg

We will really only have time for maybe one or two attractions before we have to hit the road for LAX. And we may not even venture to the park this day at all, but I can be optimistic. :goodvibes

Our flight out of LAX to Seattle leaves at 12:45. For any of you DL travelers, is it realistic at all to think we will be able to visit the park that morning? How much time should we give ourselves to get to the airport? And how early should we plan on getting there?

We will land in Seattle at 3:10 pm where DH's aunt and uncle will be picking us up and bringing us to their house in Camano Island, WA.

Saturday May 19th & Sunday May 20th
Not sure what, if anything, DH's family has planned for us for our weekend in Seattle. His grandmother's birthday is Sunday, which was the reason for this trip in the first place, so we'll let them direct us and let us know what they want to do. Ideally, I'm thinking it would be best to spend Saturday around their house visiting and catching up, and spend Sunday in the Seattle area.

Since it looks like flying home to Lafayette from Seattle is just not going to happen (the airfare has gone up to over $400!), we have come up with a new plan of attack. Since flying straight home is not an option, I really wanted to try instead for an earlier flight and an earlier arrival time in New Orleans since we will still have a 2 hour drive home from there. The reason we had not been considering that was because DH's aunt lives 1.5 hours from the airport, so we'd be leaving her house somewhere between 3:30 and 4 am for a 7 am flight. So instead, I thought that if we did things in the city Sunday afternoon, we could stay at a hotel near the airport with a shuttle on Sunday night and take an earlier flight out on Monday morning. That lets us get in early without having to inconvenience anyone (DH's aunt & uncle, OR Paxton!) to get us to the airport early in the morning.

I think I have found the perfect place too! The Homewood Suites by Hilton is an all suite hotel with a free hot breakfast and cribs available, plus a 24 hour shuttle to the airport. We can get a 1 bedroom with a king sized bed for a total of $142 if we pay in advance! I was looking for cheap, but DH made a good point that if it had everything we needed with the convenience of getting to the airport, we could spend a little more. That will give us some space so DS can be somewhat separated from us and we won't all be hearing one another's every shuffle during the night. Other hotels were cheaper, but didn't offer both breakfast and a crib, or they looked a little too cheap, ya know? This place looks so nice I'm almost wishing we could spend the whole weekend there! :rotfl:

The flight we will likely end up booking is with United, and departs at 7 am from Seattle, landing in New Orleans at 3:22 pm. My parents are going to bring our car to the airport the day before for us so we can just get our stuff and go rather than needing someone to pick us up and take us to my parent's house to get the car. It gets us home much earlier than we had originally planned on, which sounds much better to me, although I'm still not crazy about having to confine DS to his car seat for so many hours that day. He is really going to hate that!

So that's the itinerary. Sorry it was kind of long!

One last thing. Yesterday, I took Paxton to the mall to meet the Easter Bunny, and then we had an appointment at JC Penney's portrait studio to take some more Easter pictures and some 18 month old portraits. He absolutely LOVED the Easter Bunny and didn't want to leave when his turn was over. While we waited for the family in front of us to order their pictures, he sat in his stroller and kept waving at the Easter Bunny. It was so cute!

img042.jpg

Despite his melt down for Santa Claus, this makes me think he will be okay meeting the characters in DL in just a few more weeks!!

After that, his portraits were kind of crazy. The photographer and I made the mistake of doing his Easter pictures with his Easter basket first, so when we tried to take it away to do some 18 month portraits, he was NOT happy! So we only got one picture. :sad1: But the Easter pictures came out really cute, and once DH saves them to the computer for me, I'll be sure to post my favorites. :goodvibes

Your trip sounds like it's going to be great!! I'm super jealous!!! And very cute picture of Paxton with the Easter bunny! We're not taking Alex to the one here. DH isn't up for it :confused3

The closer it gets, the more excited I am getting about it! Not looking forward to the time difference, but hopefully the three of us will be able to adjust easily and have fun.

Thank you, I couldn't believe how good he was with EB after how awful he was with SC! Maybe it was the beard?! Aww, maybe you can convince DH to change his mind? Or just take Alex by yourself!

I know very little about Disneyland, but I think your plans look good. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

It's a shame that you're missing the fireworks and Fantasmic! but I'd think that Fantasmic! would probably be similar to what you can see in DHS anyway...:confused3 It would be amazing to see the fireworks set to the other castle though... you know, in real life, not just in Soarin'.:rotfl: At least you get to see WoC. If I ever make it to Disneyland, that is going to be my priority.:thumbsup2

That's a good idea for your return trip from Seattle. That should work out nicely for you. Homewood Suites are typically very nice places to stay.

Your plans look great!! Love the pic of your son with the Easter bunny. Good to see he still likes characters, so that is a good sign for your upcoming Disney trips.

Hey there...like your plan! It's interesting how much looser a DL plan is than a WDW plan. Don't know why exactly, though it may have a bit to do with the lack of ADRs involved. That and the fact everything is right there. I've been reading up on the rides lately, and I am getting very excited for our trip there...the idea of having literally dozens of "new" Disney rides.:lovestruc I was getting especailly excited about the Nemo Subs when I read into them and found it is really very similar to the old 20,000 leagues ride. That was such a favorite of mine as a kid - I never even got to take DW on it, even back in our first trip in 1997, the lagoon was still there but the ride had already been closed. That's going to be our first ride on the first MM morning. The rest is remarkably unplanned.

Why did you decide to go with the regular FP option for World of Color? I was originally going to book a dinner package as our one sit down meal of the trip, but as I looked into it, while you get the prime viewing section, you still have to get there early to get a really good spot to see the show. I thought the dinner package would allow you easier access, now I'm not so sure. I am most interested in seeing this than Fantasmic! I know everyone says F! is way better at DL, I have yet to really hear exactly WHY. Our family is not big on F!, and generally skip it at WDW. From the sound of the wait issues at DL (again having to get a spot 2 hours early if you want a decent view) combined with the problems involved with the time change, it seems like we will probably skip that one in favor of WoC.

Getting back to you, I'm curious as to what things are you most looking forward to seeing there? I think for me: Nemo subs, Indiana Jones, PotC (twice as long!), Space Mountain, Grizzly River Run, and Alladin musical.

(AM I wrong that I actually want to skip The Little Mermaid attraction, simply because that way when we get it in WDW it won't seem "new" if I've already seen it in DCA - and there will be so much else "new" on this trip, it won't even matter. )

Note: For the time difference (3hrs for us) I plan on the week leading up to it, keeping our DD up past her normal 8:30 PM bedtime and eventually moving it to 10 or 11 PM by the end of the week. She will be in a camp at our local zoo that week which doesn't start until 9 AM, so I intend to shift my work schedule as well, go to work later and drop her off, and stay up later myself. I am hoping that this will make the transition easier. I have the biggest trouble with this transition because I find myself getting up at 5 AM or earlier, and that makes you stay tired at night. HATE 3 hour time changes. 6+ I find easier than 3.

Hello! Joining in your PTR! Paxton is such a cutie. I'm planning to read your Nov. 2011 TR when I get some time. We're taking our son to WDW this October (probably 10/27 - 11/3 and thinking either POFQ or AofA). He will be 14.5 months. I am soooo excited!!

Did I spy a Beco Gemini in the Mardi Gras post? I love my Beco Butterfly and hope it will come in handy at WDW this fall.

I have to admit I got a little teary-eyed seeing your pictures of Paxton with Tigger and Piglet. I can't wait to see my little guy with the characters, and I'm hoping he loves them, too! We're hoping to do breakfast at CP. Actually, we've never done any character meals so it will be a first for all of us! We LOVE 50's PTC and it's one of the restaurants we never skip. Maybe your hubby will come around - mine loves to go there just for the peanut butter, jelly, and chocolate milkshake and talks about it year-round . I love the S'mores and the fried chicken. Darn it, now I'm hungry! We really enjoyed Via Napoli for dinner.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your planning info! Have fun at DL!

Your DL plans sound super fun!! Cant wait to go there someday (hopefully sooner than later :rotfl:).

Paxton's Easter pic is super cute!!

Hi! Love the plans for your Disneyland trip :goodvibes it does look like it's a very different resort to plan for than WDW... dining reservations are 'only' 60 days at DLR aren't they?! :cutie:
I dream of going there one day, it's just soo much further from here than Florida though hehe.

Hope you are well and have a great Easter weekend!

I need to fully catch up but did ready through your DL itinerary. I'm so jealous of that trip, it's going to be so fun and you have so much time to spend at the parks. I don't have much to impart, though as for your LAX question, honestly I don't think you'd have time. Unless you just step in for 30 minutes, you'll have to be on the road by 9:30 IMO maybe get away with 10am. Traffic there sucks. And it's pretty far, I want to say an hour without traffic? IdK just remember it being a long drive, but I also go stuck in bumper to bumper traffic for 2 hours last time I did it a couple years ago.

Your plan to get home from Seattle sounds great. Hope you get some good weather there, Camano is very pretty, and Paxton should have fun on the beach looking for rocks, wood, etc.

I have read that F! at DL is better than the one at DHS, which is why I was so interested in seeing it. Even DH, who like me is not so much a fan of the F! show at DHS, really enjoyed it at DL. I am probably most disappointed to miss the fireworks! But I am pretty excited about being able to see WoC.

I was so impressed with both the price and the pictures of the Homewood Suites. It reminds me pretty much of the Wyndham 1 bedroom units. So we'll all have our space to spread out and hopefully get a good night's sleep for our early flight in the morning. :thumbsup2

Your plans look great!! Love the pic of your son with the Easter bunny. Good to see he still likes characters, so that is a good sign for your upcoming Disney trips.

Thank you! He was so cute with the EB. After his turn was over while we waited for the family in front of us to get their pictures so we could get ours, he just kept smiling and waving at the EB. It makes me pretty excited to think we will get one more trip where he loves the characters just in case by the time our October trip comes, he is not a fan anymore.

That's going to be our first ride on the first MM morning. The rest is remarkably unplanned.

I think you got it right! Lack of ADR's,close proximity of the parks and DTD, and the small number of parks makes it a MUCH more relaxed vacation to plan than WDW. I never did get to ride 20,000 Leagues at WDW, so the Nemo Subs will be an entirely new attraction for me! Not sure about DH if he rode it as a kid.

From the sound of the wait issues at DL (again having to get a spot 2 hours early if you want a decent view) combined with the problems involved with the time change, it seems like we will probably skip that one in favor of WoC.

We decided to go with the FPs because DH wasn't interested in eating at any of the restaurants that offered the dining package. At least this way we will have a designated place to view, hopefully without having to wait for a really long time. That's another reason I'm planning 2 nights to get it right. If we get the FP the first night but don't get there early enough for a good spot, then we know we need to get there earlier on the 2nd night. I too have heard F! is better at DL...mostly I have heard the dragon is really awesome. I guess I should be a little relieved that there is not something else we have to wait a couple hours for to be able to see well. Although with the crowd calendar predicting 2's the whole week we are there, we might not be competing with very many people to see anything! :confused3 At least, that's what I'm hoping for!!

Getting back to you, I'm curious as to what things are you most looking forward to seeing there? I think for me: Nemo subs, Indiana Jones, PotC (twice as long!), Space Mountain, Grizzly River Run, and Alladin musical.

I am definitely interested the most in Space Mountain and PotC and how different they are from WDW! And like you, I have heard nothing but good things about Indiana Jones and the Aladdin show. I would like to try Matterhorn, but that's down for refurb. And I'm looking forward to seeing all the attractions that WDW doesn't have, even the smaller attractions, like Alice in Wonderland & the Pinocchio ride. I'm just really excited about the opportunity to try out so many new or different attractions! And I'm excited about the fact that there are different little areas of the park compared to what they have at WDW, like the Bug's Life area, and the different Toontown.

(AM I wrong that I actually want to skip The Little Mermaid attraction, simply because that way when we get it in WDW it won't seem "new" if I've already seen it in DCA - and there will be so much else "new" on this trip, it won't even matter. )

That's a good point! I am really looking forward to LM (One of my FAVORITE Disney movies!), but maybe I won't make it a priority for DL. Although, when is it supposed to open in WDW? Maybe I won't be able to wait that long! I understand your thinking on that though, for sure!

HATE 3 hour time changes. 6+ I find easier than 3.

I am thinking of doing something similar to this, depending on how I could work it in with my work schedule. I think it might be a must for DS...otherwise he is going to have a rough time of it. A cranky adult is nowhere near as bad as a cranky & tired toddler!

Anyway, thanks for sharing your planning info! Have fun at DL!

Have you every stayed at POFQ before! We loved it on our honeymoon, and I think it would be perfect with a toddler! The rooms are a little bigger than a value, and the resort is so small and quiet. So easy to walk from your room to the food court to the buses, etc. Of course, I can't compare it to a stay at AoA, but I think either one would be a great choice!

Yes, we love our Beco! Unfortunately, DS is getting a little too big and heavy for it more recently, but it worked great when he was small. Still worked great for Mardi Gras, but he he not too thrilled about being confined to it anymore. We brought it on our WDW trip with him too, but only used it a few times. We used it a lot more around the house and thought it would be a must for the trip, but it was usually just easier to hold him in the lines and put him in the stroller when we walked.

I hope your DS loves the characters too! CP was definitely a highlight of our trip, and I'm hoping to have a similar experience this year. :goodvibes I LOVE the fried chicken at 50's, and the smores look amazing, but I've never had them. And my mouth literally waters for that pizza whenever someone mentions Via Napoli! Which stinks today, because it's Good Friday & I have to fast. :rotfl:

Thanks so much for joining in! Are you doing a PTR for your October trip?

Your DL plans sound super fun!! Cant wait to go there someday (hopefully sooner than later :rotfl:).

Paxton's Easter pic is super cute!!

The more I actually start planning DL, the more excited I am getting! It was kind of hard to get excited with so little to plan before. But I have a feeling this won't be our last time...I'm sure I'll get bit by the DL bug and want to go back!

Thank you! I was so happy he loved the EB so much and got a great pic. He kept looking up at him and smiling, it was so cute!

Hi! Love the plans for your Disneyland trip :goodvibes it does look like it's a very different resort to plan for than WDW... dining reservations are 'only' 60 days at DLR aren't they?! :cutie:

Hope you are well and have a great Easter weekend!

Emma princess: x

It is SO different to plan! I just now today (a little more than 5 weeks before we leave), got the entire week of park hours for the week will be there! Meanwhile, I've had October hours for WDW for a month!! :rotfl: And yes, the dining reservations are only 60 days in advance, and you can't make them online either. We did not make any, but if we feel like it, we may try walk-up somewhere since the crowds are not supposed to be too bad.

Maybe one day you & Steve will make the trip! I have always wanted to spend a few weeks in California and visit San Francisco, San Diego, LA, etc. Maybe you could do that one trip?

Hope you have a happy Easter as well, Emma! :goodvibes

Your plan to get home from Seattle sounds great. Hope you get some good weather there, Camano is very pretty, and Paxton should have fun on the beach looking for rocks, wood, etc.

Yeah, I think it was wishful thinking that we'd be able to get into the park at all on Friday. But even if we don't, we have 3 1/2 days, so I think we will be able to get a lot done. We will be spending some time at DCA, but I see us spending most of our time in DL, so we should be able to do everything we want to do.

I'm looking forward to nice weather in both CA and Seattle...it is already in the mid-80s every day here!

(AM I wrong that I actually want to skip The Little Mermaid attraction, simply because that way when we get it in WDW it won't seem "new" if I've already seen it in DCA - and there will be so much else "new" on this trip, it won't even matter. )

Well, I am not sure that it will be open before your next trip to WDW in October, 2012. I think it will open in early 2013. (Though late-2012 is still a possibility.) For us, we won't be going again until 2013, most likely either late-August or Oct/Nov, depending on availability of free dining. I am not sure that resisting doing it will be possible for us either, though!

Just dropping in before we hit the road to say...

Happy Easter!!

Hope everyone has a great day today! We'll be spending it with family we have not seen in awhile. So I'll probably have some pictures to post later in the week. :goodvibes

Happy Easter!!

I had the weirdest dream today..(I work midnights so I was sleeping today)..anyways..
Our family went to DL for the first time and for some reason we drove..I won't drive to WDW from Niagara Falls, but for some reason driving to DL is okay in my dreams.:confused3 So, we got there and I took our DD's around for the rides and they were all old school carni rides...like really OLD carnival rides. It was the weirdest dream, I have never thought about going to DL until reading your PTR!! LOL!! I think this weird dream is all your fault!:lmao: Thought you might get a kick out of it.;)

Thanks! I hope you had a fantastic Easter! We've never stayed at POFQ, or any moderate for that matter. I really like the idea of it being so small and walkable with a toddler. I really want to stay in a monorail resort, but just can't justify the price difference. AofA seems great but since I'm hoping for free dining (wishful thinking?), I'm thinking that might not be the best idea because I've heard it will not be eligible for it this year. I constantly change my mind about resorts, so next week I may be thinking something totally different! ;)

I thought about doing a PTR but I think I'll just hang around here and enjoy following others' reports, then maybe I'll do one for next year's trip! :thumbsup2

:lmao: That is so funny!!! Sorry I am inducing weird dreams with my DL planning posts. :rotfl: Definitely made me laugh.

A monorail resort would be a dream, but it really is just so expensive. I think you will be really pleased with POFQ. No matter what building you are in, there's no long hike back to the room when you get off the bus at night, which is more than a plus with a little one in tow.

Sounds like a good idea on the PTR. Sometimes it is hard to find things to post about, but I feel like I have to keep updating so I don't lose people by waiting too long between posts! TR's are way better and more fun to keep up with. Maybe you will get bitten by the TR bug and decide to write one when you come back from your trip. It's a great way to "extend" the experience by reliving the best moments of your trip through the TR!

I want to second POFQ - we've stayed there 3 times, and were going to again last year until we were able to extend FD longer at CBR. It's a great little resort. Sure, it doesn't have as big a dining/entertainment area as the other mods, but it feels so different from other Disney resorts because of its smaller size. The values and the other mods all feel very sprawling, whereas POFQ feels quaint and peaceful. If you go, request building 4 or 5, both very near the pool, food court, and bus stop. The bus stops are great. (First on, first off.)

However, I do remember seeing that they were including AofA in free dining, so you may want to call and check it out.

I also want to concur khertz comments about PTRs, they are very hard to keep interesting and continue to post stuff to. I think of them as more "bookmarks" for people that enjoy reading about what you are doing, so once one TR ends, they will know when the next TR begins. TRs are fun to write because it gives you a chance to relive memorable moments, and also keep a "record" of them outside of just pictures.

Thanks for the info! I was 90% sure we would go with POFQ, but you and khertz have pushed me towards 99.9% certainty. :thumbsup2 I think the key words for me are "quaint and peaceful." I loved AKL and POP, but this time we want something more relaxing, so I'm convinced POFQ is what we need. I didn't realize that about AofA and free dining, but that isn't even swaying me at this point, because I showed DH photos of AofA and he was like...ummm, no. Too much color and mermaid world explosion. He really wants a more low-key resort this time, too, and LOVED the idea of the boat ride to DTD.

Good points on the PTR thing. I can see how it'd be hard to keep it interesting, but khertz you are doing a great job. :goodvibes I'm going to think about doing a TR after we return - it seems fun and would be a nice way to document the trip!
